^Just because Forza calls them JDM icons doesn't mean they are nothing but JDM icons.

Those cars are just as good as the best of the world.

Except the RX8.

Yeah, the RX-8...

Always loved how it looks and horrified at what a mess it is.

What mess? Beautifully balanced chassis and smooth powerplant.

When it came out, oo it's so slow what a piece of junk. When the FRS came out, OMG what a return of fun to drive cheap enthusiast cars COTY 2013!!!

1953 Chevy Corvette

BMW 507

Jaguar E-Type

Mercedes Benz R107

BMW E30

Ferrari Testarossa

A Pfister Comet Classic

car-view-large-Porsche-911_Turbo_LE-1989

Been playing a lot of Vice City, since I'm on vacation and don't want to overheat the laptop too much.

The Comet isn't particularly pretty there, but it could easily be my favorite car if properly ported to the HD universe...

And of course, the Deluxo.

959054651_4a8e6023e9_o.jpg

Because I am going to buy a Corrado.

That, and the Blista Compact looks nothing like a Golf, contrary to what people say.

I want a nice Volkswagen, damn you!

I'd much prefer a MkIV, like the one I drive, or earlier. The newer Golfs have gotten too tall and dumb looking, with exception of the VII.

Which I will also be buying when I get the money...

Cheap? An RX8 is a timebomb waiting to go off. There's a reason they are worth the best part of f*ck all. I'd be shocked if any more than 10% survive without a rebuild.

On topic: I voted for the Escoss from the original GTA. Whale tail is a must!

The fact that people call cars with electronic fuel injection from the 90's a classic car just does not seem right to me. I get it, by definition they are old enough, but I think that definition is getting out dated. Anyways OP, firstly, there were two versions of Eleanor. The one you are thinking about was a 1967, not a '68. The other one in the original 1974 movie was a '73 Mach 1. Secondly, why put a 1969 Mustang as an option at all? Visually in game a 67-70 Mustang is going to look visually the same if it is based on any of these years.

Aside from all my rambling about Mustangs, it is clear that I am all for a Dominator Classic. Based on any classic Mustangs. 64-66, 67-70, 71-73, or even a 75-78 Cobra II.

I meant this one.

They're both called the Blista, but I guess only one is the 'compact...'

Which is stupid. They're both compacts...

Anyway, it very faintly looks like a Golf, but I'm not buying it.

And even if it did look more like a MKV, as I said I don't like the MKVs all that much.

I'd rather have this.

I like you. 90's JDM are, as said already, cult classics. Big difference from a classic. A classic should have outrageously inefficient carbs and a noise to wake the dead.

But the original was a '71 that was made to look like a '73, but it's easy to see where the confusion is :)

Hey Bud, I think the original 73 Eleanor was ugly and consider most of the 1970s to be "the lost years" for the Mustang with the decreased power/weight ratio - that's just my preference or taste. I'll ad 71 to 73 as an option though (I just doubt people want that Eleanor) and a 75-78 Cobra II, but if I don't start adding more Ferrari, Jags, Lambos, etc. and flood the poll with mustangs I'll get booed outta here. Thanks for the year correction from 1968 to '67. Yeah, I'd be down for as many 60s Mustangs as I could get: 67 GT500, GT350, 68 California Special, etc... I grew up around my dad's 1969 Mustang GT so I'm biased, but I love the beefier look, and longer wheelbase of the 69/70 (and the 428/429 powerplant is a plus too).

Common misconception. The 1971 Boss 351 was the quickest mustang every produced until the 00 Cobra R was made. Trust me, the 71-73 have a huge following. They only look bigger, mine weighed in at just over 3200 lbs on offical NHRA scales. Styling of course is all up to preference.

I have to agree, I'd say the early 70's were far from ugly. If anything, the straighter angles add to the aggressive look. I wish I lived in the states instead of the UK.

I know several people in the UK and other European countries that have these model mustangs. They are out there if you look hard enough. Actually, in Europe the most rare 1971 Mustangs were produced. They were called Shelby Europa.
