We want cops'n'crooks back

It would be simple for rockstar to add this game mode. Why not ? Just a thought. I think it's missing and was the only game mode I played in gta 4 besides "turf war" with blips set to far so when people got near they would dissappear from the radar which also gave an intense excitement.

OT: I enjoyed Cops N' Crooks a LOT. Played it way too much to the point where I knew most spawns of the getaway vehicle depending where the teams spawned so I'm not disagreeing on you that we do want this game mode back. But to say "It would be simple for rockstar to add this mode mode. Why not ?" is like saying "R* made this huge game and can't be bothered to add this little thing in. Why not? Are R* punishing us for REFUSING to add this game?! They KNOW we want it!".

Just seems a little "asshole" by presuming what R* can do - also if they should do it.

As Rex said above: LTS could do such a thing. But map variety would be needed to make vehicle spawns different to keep things spiced up.

They already added similar modes with the Heists Update that the majority didn't even tried for more than glitching a cop outfit. But, as always, people just pay attention tu super cars and new tactical equipment and keep complaining about the lack of content.

People don't even play LTS/Captures/Adversary and now even races and non-parkour/RP DM are being neglected. its hard enough getting a lobby for these modes now let alone adding a new game mode.

Yes I agree on the part of there's too many game modes which leave lobby's dry. But I've seen it posted before and people have tried to make it in "creator" without any luck. So there might be a fan base and yes it was easy to predict spawn locations and cut off the crooks in gta4 but the people I played with had a rule"never destroy the getaway vehicle". So rockstar should/could probably make some adjustments to make things unpredictable.

 

Ok not we. I just thought this was a big forum so if I would then there's probably more. Thanks for support guys

Well, yes it does. That's precisely why I listed them in the first place. The fact that many different people have played GTA Online and then posted on this forum about the whereabouts of Cops N Crooks demonstrates exactly how popular it is, meaning being liked, admired or supported by many people.

 

I agree with your second point, however. If there was one dedicated thread pushing for the return of Cops N Crooks, I figure it would be about as popular as the GTA V Police Cars & Emergency Vehicles topic.

 

In saying that, being one of the largest GTA fan bases on the net with over 600,000 members and over 12 million posts, it's to be expected that not everyone will use the search function.

well if the matchmaking was fixed....these days im not even in to do races anymore realy much because the matchmaking sucks major balls

i have no problem to wait for 1 minute if im sertain im racing with more then 6 players in the end but yea.....if lucky that happens....generaly its somewhere between racing with 4 other people and having to wait 2 minutes and waiting for 10 minutes and racing with 4 others

and if on call.....youre completely f*cked

easely takes 10 minutes if not more before the lobby fills up....and the lobby needs to fill up before you can even start in general because you are the host.

also last team standing coud be my favorit mode if i was guarantied to play with atleast 7 others, but last time i checked, wich was right after the last team standing update, when the matchmaking was even better then the crap we have now, again that never happened.

 

serious, since im kinda played out im lately accepting everything but deathmatched but yea....it is not just me who has trouble finding other people to play with.

the only thing thats decent to connect with, and i mean decent, is finding a random freeroam lobby

Lol to those saying it can be done in a Last Team Standing. Good luck with that. Noobs will just get out on foot and won't even use the cop cars/criminal cars. It's not even a chase, just a shootout.

Guarantee it's gonna be included with or before the single player DLC. Sound files indicate they've worked on a mode like that (along with other files pointing towards Casino, Indoor arena races, and pink slip stuff). It's really only a matter of time before it gets added.

 

Thing is, because it's such a popular GTAIV mode, & because it'll probably be so mechanically complex (we'd need roles for a airteam, functional heli spotlights, police garage interiors, & the sound data for all of that) I expect it'd be a content update we'd have to pay for. If they're gonna do it right (and they almost certainly will) it'd have to be more than just a 4th Adversary Mode.

 

Not that that's a bad thing. A premium price point will make such a mode a frequently played on. You wouldn't buy the update only to ignore the mode after all.

 

& to the haters saying "just play GTAIV:" eat sh*t & buy me an Xbox 360.

This is the f*cking worst kind of response.

 

"Why not play Call of Duty" if you want death matches.

"Why not play Forza or gran turismo " if you want to race.

"Why not play midnight club" if you like car customization.

I would like to see cops and crooks in GTAO. I think adversary modes were an attempt to try something new but similar to cops and crooks but in my opinion they fell flat real fast. sh*t there was barely anyone playing adversary modes when they were offering double GTA$ for only adversary modes.

For anyone who is missing CnC, me and my friends made this - it is episode 1 of a full movie based on Cops 'n Crooks. 20 minutes long, takes about 8 minutes to build to the action:

For those who don't understand the desire, CnC was a classic game mode, that would work really well in Los Santos. Some people have had some fine efforts at re-creating the using the content creator, but the All for One mode can't be replicated. This is where you have one boss who the crook team must protect and help escape, whilst the cops must kill him. It's all or nothing - one person who lives or dies decides it. It made for really tense gameplay, using the full map - helicopters, boats the subway, whatever you could to try and help that one important player escape.

ever since GTA online introduced co-op modes against the computer, people just don't like PvP as much anymore, which is the truth....

 

GTA 4 game modes were only PvP, that is why freemode seemed more peaceful because it was a rare chance to band together

^ The reason for that, imho, is that PvP modes aren't that good in online. The best thing by far is the Heists. GTA IV had three co-ops, which were fun, but relative to CnC, and in TMW to a degree it feels like they took a step backwards.

You make a good point but I actually disagree, this game has waay more PvP modes than GTA4 and a lot of them are fun, a lot of which do not even involve killing, but if you give people the choice to play against a cpu where you can control the difficulty, most likely win and earn more cash/rp or against a player where there is a much bigger chance of losing or your opponent quitting when you are winning.....then people will chose to play against the computer

 

there are 100+ capture games that are very fun and do not require you to kill each other, there are 1000s of races, and loads of parachute jobs, adversary modes like the bike and truck one but people just do the same and easy things. Player VS computer is easy even on hard once you learn how to play against them, but it is harder to play against a human because of unpredictability and different skill levels...
