Custom Plates Now A Regular Option

I used to have to set up a custom plate for my cars with the iFruit app. I always use the same plate (BCMONKEY) but everytime it had to be added, one at a time, though the app.

Last night I noticed that my plate (BCMONKEY) was now an option in the San Paro Customs shops! And it's free!

Very cool. =)

Sentinel Actual

For me, I still have to order them via Ifruit, and pay $100,000 to get mine on. Sucks.

It depends on the vehicle you're putting them on.

Some have the custom plate (or plates) listed below the color options for it. Some don't. Some can only be added via iFruit because there isn't any Plate option for it.

Technically, you are paying to upload a custom plate into your game's save data. Once it's uploaded you can put that same custom plate on as many cars as you want for free.

It still makes me pay $100,000 each time. I tried to put a custom plate on my Zion and my Sentinel, both weren't free. But this was months ago, so it may have changed.

Were you trying to put the same plate on both cars or a different plate for each?

Did you make the order, add it in-game to that car, then order a plate for the other car; OR create orders for both cars before applying the order to either car?

If I remember rightly every new plate you want to order is $100.000, but this is a one-off purchase for each custom plate. Once it has been ordered, it will be available for every vehicle you own and it will also be free. Also, if you didn't notice, under the plate options in LS Customs, it no longer says "Custom Plate". Instead, it appears as what you wrote on the plate via the iFruit app.

Order it once for a vehicle you hardly use and/or take to lsc. That option for the custom plate will always be there, no need to "rebuy" the plate. Just remember once you bring that vehicle (the one you hardly use and place the order for) to lsc and either accept or cancel that order, it will go away.

It's been that way since before that. I have 21 plates now and once a order put that text in the game I could use it on all the cars I wanted for free each time.

That I don't remember, I will have to check. Sold my Zion a while back, really want to put a custom plate on my Insurgent though.

In order to create a plate specifically for your Insurgent, you have to send that plate to another car, then add it (for free) to your Insurgent.

Any plate you have already applied to a car you can add to an Insurgent inside LSC.

The change that the OP is discussing appeared for me after the first Ill-Gotten Gains update.

Depended on the car you brought in to LSC.

I had the list of plate colors followed by all the plate-text options before IGG1 on my Insurgent and Kuruma

Today I brought my BlackFin in and there were no custom-text options. Just the colors. I added a custom plate for it via iFruit.

I had to rebuy my custom plate for my Buccaneer a few days ago when it should've been free...

Remember people you only get charged when you go to lsc and finalize the transaction. If you never finalize the purchase it should remain in your inventory. This only applies for players that previously purchased the plates of course. Edited by Chloroform

This whole thing is bugged on PC.. First I could not even do anything with PC version on ifruit. Then custom plates were available. Purchased the brawler and t20.. could put the plate on t20, but the brawler the option was not available.

But its okay, I sold the brawler because that thing sucks.

But still.. custom plates are buggy, on PC anyways.

On my PS4 it all works perfectly, Set the order once, its available for all new cars
