First Words

As you all know Im really enjoying this game a lot so far. After the Heist update I have still played them a lot because they are the fastest way make money than any other game type if they are done correctly. And I would call myself as professional heist player. I host heists and join heists randomly a lot. Not only I do this for money but also for fun. I can see that there are many guides how to complete all these setups easily I mean like Criminal Mastermind guide includes a lot of great stuff. The heists are definitely best income if you complete them with professional players or friends with mics or something like that.

However, most players play it alone with randoms without mics and Im one of them and thats why completing the Heists can most times be very frustrating and not much rewarding if we compare to playing, for example, missions with randoms. Heists are of course harder than missions because they require that everyone must not die and everyone must stay in the game until the end. So I will write a heist guide for players who play mostly with randoms with or without mics. This will include walkthrough for setups and finales for sure even though some are harder to pull off or just impossible to have a proper walkthrough. Also people, who play with a friend with mic plus two other randoms, can find this helpful aswell and it would be easier too with two pro players rushing.

You might now wonder why this guide is different from other guides that are now available. Well the special thing is that playing the heists with randoms require that you must try to complete them very effectively, I mean so effectively that you are very fast that you could complete as much as possible before your teammates arrive at place. I mean most heists you play with three other teammates so you really want to do so much as possible (I would say 80% of the task) and fast depending on the setup or finale before your teammate manage to DIE or fail. Yes, playing with random players you are allowed to think that your other teammates are going to fail anytime whereas you could alone complete all easily alone. Trust me I have played the heists so many times that I have seen so many horrible decisions or actions that I could never have imagined people to do or REPEAT again and again *facepalm*. And believe or not, even very so called high levels do that too not only low levels...

So what will this guide require from YOU? Well briefly it requires that you are pro player and you have experienced the Heists enough that you will know what is going to happen next. What I mean with pro skill is that you are able to do gunfights properly and your driving skill must be decent at least so you can RUSH and be FAST anytime and most importantly, you are able to help or protect others whenever it is possible. I mean when your objective is completed and you are done, hurry up to help others. Or in gunfights try not to stay behind but try stay in front of your teammates so that enemies arent shooting your teammates!

I wont put all stuff and walkthrough in one go because I want to experiment more to find better ways. What I will do here is I will update this topic when I have time or when I feel like it :D The walkthroughs will come in random order depending when I have found great strategy enough by myself or your own. I will also put the phrases in better places and make guide looks better aesthically etc. Feel free to comment or correct me and my typos or share your strategies as well and I will include them in topic if I find them effective.

Ingame requirements

When you play Heists you need to have at least decent equipment to do all much effectively and fast and also to avoid getting damages. To be able to cope with random players, you need to have your own protection, health fillers, own vehicles and good weapons.

Let's talk about protection and health fillers first. You can stock your armours and foods in gunshops and food stores although I rarely stock armours because they cost too much in comparison with food. So I especially recommend you go to market and buy all available items before you shoplift (if you have to). In gunfights if you ever lose health, just eat snacks via quickplay menu. In some situations having quickplay menu opened all time is really recommended, especially when you are in cars or facing lots of enemies. When you are taking cover or running or aiming at the enemy, your health will be replenished instantly without eat animation. In addition, you can buy a heavy utility vest from clothing stores to get REALLY TOUGH protection that most times you don't even need to take cover. Heavy utility vests combined with food you can easily be terminator or rambo (I will talk about this later in gunfight section). I would say that heavy vests will help better than regular heist clothes 99% of time in Heists depending on the mission although mostly you won't be used player saved outfits if you don't host the heist. And I write this guide assuming that you aren't using player saved outfits as default. Whenever it is possible to use heavy vest, use it. Also some heists does allow you wear heavy armor so if you are hosting these heists make sure that you control your other teammate's outfits.

Now the second thing you need are vehicles. You totally need (Armored) Kuruma when playing with randoms because this car you can let them in so they don't die if they stay inside (yeah one time a random decided to hop out in the middle of enemies, not hard to guess if we needed to restart) and also it will protect you when you are rushing alone. I wouldn't recommend Insurgent over Kuruma because Kuruma protects the bullets better and is way faster. And you shouldn't worry about explosions much since enemies mostly use SMGs and you shouldn't use explosives in drive-by (this coming later in next sections)

Then I would recommend you to have also your preferred super car because sometimes you really need to travel faster than Kuruma when you don't need to worry about bullet protection. I myself prefer Osiris, it's definitely the best for me since it handles best plus it looks and sounds perfect. Although it's expensive and you might not afford it yet, it's definitely worth all money. But that's just my opinion, choose the super car that you can drive fast enough.

If for some reason your PV is destroyed while Heists accidentally or intentionally by other players (don't ask why...) you can call Motors insurance to get it back for heist. However, it might spawn too far away from you location but you will get it closer when the Heist is likely to be restarted back its checkpoint (you might fail without your PV, or should I say they might fail?). Also put your vehicle access as 'Passengers' or 'Nobody' depending how you trust your random players. Usually when using Kuruma 'Passengers' is good option enough. I mostly had had vehicle access as 'Everyone' and sometimes it was taken away leaving me behind, often resulting a fail result for the mission.

And the last thing is weapons. The best and required weapons for Heists are definitely Combat MG, AP pistol and Horning Launcher. These things are the weapons that you should use a lot in Heists and I'm going to explain why.

For me the most important in weapon stats is its range so you can autoaim your enemies with the weapon the farthest way, killing enemy from far away. And that's why Combat MG is the weapon that you are using most time against enemies when you are not in car. In addition, its bullet capacity is 200 so you never need to reload it in the middle of battle, most times. It also kill them faster than any rifles in my opinion, so it does most damages. I read that in 'Ill gotten gains update' (was it?) Rockstar increased Combat MG's damage wich was surprising even though it was still the deadliest auto-firing-weapon before the update. If you haven't unlocked Combat MG yet, use MG instead. If MG isn't unlocked, use rifles, I would recommend Bullup Rifle as a rifle.

When you are doing drive-by, the fire rate is most important in my opinion. Because of this, AP pistol is the best weapon when you are in car. Compared to SMG, AP pistol is better in all stats and kills enemies in vehicles faster. If you haven't unlocked AP pistol yet, just use SMG instead when in car.

And finally let's talk about Horning Launcher. It's definitely the best way to take out choppers or any air vehicle although you have to wait it to lock to the target or just use it as RPG if you are able to. Minigun and RPG are also good for that, but Horning Launcher is the easiest way and everyone have unlocked it. You can also take the chopper's shooters out with rifles or MGs, but this will take longer time.

For specific situations it is also good to have a sniper rifle (choppers that are far away), grenade launchers (quick explosives) and auto-shotgun (nearby enemies). Also a stealth mission require suppressors. Now the suppressors also weakens the weapon a little so I recommend getting another rifle and equip the silencers for that so you can use that in certain missions.

So in brief, get yourself at least these things:

- Foods

- Armored Kuruma

- Super car (Osiris?)

- Combat MG or MG or a Rifle

- AP pistol or SMG

- Horning Launcher

With these things you should definitely be able to pull the Heists off with randoms

Skill requirements

As I wrote earlier you need to be pro at gunfight, driving and helping others.

Gunfight

Let's talk about gunfight skills first. It sounds quite obvious already for you so feel free to skip for next section but all I can say that most randoms lack of these battle things. First of all, you need to set your targeting mode as 'Traditional GTA' if it is not already. Just go to pause menu and settings. Usually when you are going to shoot target, you will aim by pressing left tabulator (LT) of the controller and when you shoot, you press right tabulator (RT).

You are many times required to face many enemies at once. The best and most efficient way to eliminate them is aiming at a target (hold LT) then shoot him (hold RT). When the target is eliminated or has fallen ground, switch the target either or by releasing both buttons and immediately hold LT then RT again to shoot the next target. This way you kill them fast with the lock on target.

You can do this when going rambo or when in cover, but I recommend doing it in cover if you don't have heavy armor. But sometimes you have to do it in Rambo style and then I also recommend doing combat rolls when switching targets or even having a quick menu for snacks.

Try to pick up your targets one after one. Enemies will be stunned for any bullet that hits them and they fall to ground. If you can't finish him yet cause he fell behind car etc. and he is going to stand back soon, don't waste your time waiting for that just switch the target and then target him when he is again standing. He won't be shooting when he is stunned anyways.

When you are low on health just take cover and your health regerenates faster. And don't hesitate to eat your snacks even if you are half health or accidentally eat more than your health capacity offers. They just cost so few money that it is better to eat more than less.

If you happen to wear heavy vest, you are literally invincible because enemies can't kill you in seconds while wearing that heavy vest. And you don't ever need to go cover if you go for Terminator mode (this is what I like to call it): just go shoot anything even in open field with many enemies and have quick menu open all time. If you ever need more health just eat snacks by pressing A button (on xbox) and if you need to go faster ahead just press X button to jump. In heavy vest armor you go fastest by jumping anyway. You can do this also without heavy armor but you need to be ready to press A much much more because you are way vulnerable in regular clothes.

Driving

Most times your are required to drive fast to get ahead randoms so you can reduce the number of the enemies as much as possible that your teammates are less likely to die. Sometimes you can even kill all enemies before teammates arrive.

You don't need to drive maximum speed all times, just drive it fast enough that you can control your car easily. When you are about to turn in corner, just brake and accelerate. I never use handbrake unless need to make U-turn. When you see that your car is going fly if the road becomes higher altitude or the lake is near the road, just slowdown so your car will never be in air in order to avoid being stuck in somewhere. So try to be sure that your tires are on surface most times. I recommend to drive maximum speed in highways. Also you shouldn't crash into other cars or walls in traffic because they will slow you down a lot especially if your car spins after the incident. I recommend using good shortcuts. Well, finding good shortcuts just requires that you have experienced the heists enough. However, sometimes you are required to drive to somewhere Sandyshores via east highway. You might see a good opportunity to try shortcut via offroad near the prison but from my experience it is better idea just to stay on the road because not only your car go faster in roads but your cars are likely to flip lot in that offroad.

In short, drive well, don't flip or crash or drive to water, drive max speed in highways, use good shortcuts.

In addition to driving, you need also to shoot while driving. Most randoms only shoot when they are on passenger's seat since it's way easier because weapons can lock to enemies while being passenger. But when you are driving you must aim manually.

It's hard to drive and shoot same time but if you practise it you will get it eventually. Thankfully R* has added some options to us about driveby. I recommend you to go gaming settings. Change your driveby control type as 'Aim+Fire' and weapon target as 'Complex'. Good to know: you can have your quickmenu open while drivebying or driving

I recommend to know driveby the enemies who are in front of you (easiest method imo) and the enemies who are behind chasing you. I usually take out enemies behind me by pressing right stick and then shoot them even though it sometimes lead me to crash a civilian car.

As I told earlier not to crash much, I really want to highlight that avoid crashing into enemy cars if you are not in your Kuruma. The enemy NPCs has a big advantage than us in close driveby. We can't shoot them if the cars are too close distance but they can (our bullets just hit the roof). And they will tear us quickly if that situation happens. This is the most common reason why the teammates die during car chases; they will crash and stuck close to enemy cars, and the enemy tears them quickly out. This can happen to you too so you should have quickmenu open. The only way to avoid death so far is grabbing snacks same time and quickly try to get away. So it's great idea to escort teammates and firstly driveby the enemies who are too close to them.

Helping teammates

During heists you need to help your teammates so much whenever possible. If you have different objects than your teammates, try to finish your objective fast so you can help your other teammates to do their objective. For example, in Lawyer setup (Prison Break) if you are in Mansion team and finished your task, instead of waiting you should go help the City Hall team.

If you have same objective as your team or just happen to be in same place, try your best in gunfight. Always try be ahead others, never behind. Being ahead will draw enemies' attention to you so they will shoot at you instead of your teammates, so in other words you are distracting them. This is easy with Heavy armor and jumping but sometimes you won't wear it and it still necessary for you to go ahead them. In this case, you should have quickmenu open for snacks and taking good covers so you will survive. You could even possibly bring your Kuruma and drive to the middle enemies who will begin shoot at your instead of your teammates while you are taking them down with your AP-pistol.

Speaking about distraction or escorting, sometimes your teammates have trouble to evade 3-stars-wanted-level. To let them evade easily, be in a car and shoot the cops who are chasing your teammates some bullets. You will get wanted level too but now these cops are focusing on you and not your teammate anymore making your teammate easier to escape them. Now just drive circle around the cops and your teammate will drive away from them and don't worry about cops shooting at you because their bullets won't do as much damage as enemy NPCs so you can ram their cars etc... You can see from your radar if new cops spawn near him, in that case just repeat the distraction by shooting at them.

The same strategy can apply to enemy NPCs too but be aware that they are more deadly than cops so instead of driving circles around them try to eliminate them instead with your AP-pistol, just let your teammates drive in fron of you and shoot the enemies easily in front. And have your quickmenu open in this case. I don't recommend recommend using sticky bombs because they work in short range only and you might end up blowing yourself up or causing some damages for your teammate's vehicle. Also the AP-pistol could do things faster if you get headshots with it.

Sometimes your teammates don't know what they should do or where they should go. You can point out their destination by double tapping your right stick and show the way.

Walkthroughs

Prison Break

Setup 1: Plane

Recommended role: Ground team

Recommended PV: Super car of your choice

Get in your car alone and drive to the destination as fast as you can. Avoid using offroad because from my experience it's slower choice plus the car tend to flip flopping on that. Following waypoint to the highway is good idea and I usually take the shortcut by going opposite road before turning to the left in the bridge. When you are arriving the airport brake until you reach the red propane tank. Shoot the two enemies near the car, then shoot the red propane and two green propane tanks. Then the car where you killed the first two enemies. Players can die to these tanks that's why you should eliminate that possibility first although they can reappear if you go too far away. Then take out many enemies as fast as you can and take cover only if necessary (if health is low etc). A lot of enemies will appear around you really must strike them fast to not let most of them focus on your teammates. When the pilot is leaving try to shoot the enemies that are on his way so don't possibly get any headshots on him. Then just hope that he will land the plane properly.

If you are on pilot role you can help the ground team until Vagos are gone and then fly away.

Setup 2: Bus

Recommended PV: Super car

Drive to the same highway until you reach that bridge and stop before turning to the left. The bus is always going through that bridge it is likely it is heading towards you. Anyways take out the chopper with the RPG, kill the bus driver if needed and hop in your PV. Now you just let your teammate drive the bus, it is likely that he is going to offroad so all what you have to do now is just distract the cops. So watch the cops who follow the bus, shoot some bullets to them and they will turn their attention to you. Then drive the circles and watch from expanded radar if the bus is far away from the bus. If there are still any cops near the bus just head straight to these cops and distract them. When the bus is far away enough just lose your wanted level, should be easy with your PV and in offroad.

This actually very simple mission but sometimes the problems is that people don't realize that they need to lose their wanted level at the end of the mission

Setup 3: Police Station

Recommended role: Cargo Ship

Recommended PV: Super car

This is actually quite challenging setup with randoms. It is not really obvious which side is worse for them. When they are on cargo ships they tend to die because enemies are hard to kill in ships and the car chase can take long. When they are cops they usually are going to attain 3-star wanted level to get cop car and this can be sometimes give hard time for them. Then sometimes they die at the stations because of unnecessary gunfight. Well from my experience Cargo team tend to fail more often and on the plusside, you will get all your weaponry.

First at all drive to the cop station and kill all the cops there so you don't need to worry about possible gunfight. You will get 3-star-wanted level but you are likely to get it anyway and the cops won't affect you in cargo job much. Then head to the cargo ship, drive through the waypoint until you reach that road that leads to cargo area. Go to the opposite road and go to left so you reach the ship immediately. There you can see that blue structure, you need to go 2nd foot of that structure that is nearest to the ship (experiment yourself to know exact location). That 2nd foot has ladders, climb them up. The enemies may shoot you if your other cargo mate has opened the fire so you might need to drop some enemies and eat snacks after first ladder. Just continue climbing up and before you reach top kill the two guards near the wanted container. Continue climbing up and when you reach the top you can see the parachutes in that level. Go to the parachutes and then jump down the wanted cargo side, pull your parachute immediately and you should land in front of that container. Shoot the locks and then the cutscene occurs and your cargo mate will spawn with you in Casco as passenger.

Now just drive to the warehouse where the bus was stored. You will be now chased by cops and the enemies in black Oracles(?). These black Oracles are actually really aggressive chasers so be aware where they are; looking at minimap is not often reliable because they can appear as red dots too late. Just look ahead and notice weird car behaviours. Luckily Casco is actually very good Sports Classics and it handles well and can reach very nice speed. However, avoid hitting to the black Oracles with your Casco no matter how fast your Casco is going; the black Oracles are somehow scripted that the ramming effect won't move them at all so they are deadly if they get too close your window. Be prepared with the snacks and also try to shoot their drivers if you can. You will lose them once you are half way in highway. After that just lose the cops in offroad and be aware of the infinite cop glitch.

If the mission is restarted, then just get the Casco same way as above and take it to the destination. I will try to figure out better plan for this case though.

If your role is cop, then you can dial 911, wait the cops and hijack their car only for 2-star-wanted level. However, if your cop mate is near that scene, he might shoot cops. If this happens, just take him with you and lose the cops, then go to the station. Let your cop mate pick the documents, then hijack a random car and go help your cargo mates. At this time they might have got the Casco out so all you can do is just to distract the Oracles. Avoid shooting until your copmate has delieverd the documents so try not to get a wanted level. Just use your snacks and let the chasers focus on you instead of Casco even though it is hard to keep up with Casco! But better than nothing anyways.

Setup 4: Lawyers

Recommended role: City Hall team

This is actually one of the most easiest setup ever. The Mansion team is easy to handle for randoms luckily since it doesn't really need a stealth missions and the team don't get 3-star-wanted unlike the City Hall team. I have seen randoms to fail that role mostly because of dying so it read 'Player X died'. But one time it read 'Mansion Team failed'. I really wonder what have happened? Anyways since Mansion role should be easy enough it is good idea to take the City Hall role.

Go to the roof and wait the lawyers. You don't actually need to use sniper so feel free to use an automatic weapon, it's just little easier but don't use explosives on lawyers. When car arrives and both comes out, shoot the lawyer that comes out from right side of the car. This way the car driver will panic and often hits the other lawyer, causing him to fall. So it is easy to finish him off too. After that it is likely that your City Hall mate is going back the ladders, but staying on the roof is great place to eliminate the incoming cops. Don't worry about the big number of cops because they are scripted and you won't get more than 3 stars for killing all of them. You eliminate them easily with headshots from the roof. I also like to use greande launchers on their cars, if timed right, you can possibly blow up many cops with one shot. Anyways after that your City Hall mate has likely picked the briefcase, just get your own vehichle and distract the cops for him. Driving own vehicle avoids also the possibility of infinite cop glitch.

If you are from Mansion team, just kill the dude fast and then go distract the cops for City Hall team.

Finale: Prison Break

Recommended role: Prison Officer

Now this is definitely the hardest setup ever as it requires that nearly all heist members do their job well. I have seen quite many different fails in this, some fails were kind of sad like pilot not knowing how to land the plane, aggressive demolition with his rockets, teammates dying because of back of chopper, teammates dying for not knowing to use parachute, chopper explosing above prison, plane crashing to the cop car etc etc but the most times I see eiher prisoner or prison officed dying. So that's why you should take the lead role as Prison Officer. Prisoner would be good enough too but I see they didn't allow you to go Ammunation to fill that AP pistols ammo anymore so... Being as prisoner leader is much harder than ever, sadly. But anyways being prison Officer is best option since you get your weaponry with you. You are going to encounter the Noose team which can stand a lot of damages and also inflicts a lot to you, so be prepared with cover and snacks. You can easily fight against them with your Combat MG as you go through the prison, but if you only have a rifle it is a little bit harder because you can't lock on them when they are far and they still can lock on you.

The enemy stays a lot in cover so sometimes you have to come closer. Keep you quick menu on, move faster by jumping and shoot the enemy while you are finding a better angle to shoot them. Doing this Finale several times will teach you where they often cover themselves so try to learn them. When you kill all cops and Nooses in your area, move instantly to the next area before your prisoner. There is one area where you will see two busses and white propane tank next to the busses. Blow it up so you can use that other bus as safe cover if needed. After you kill the Nooses in the last area, remember to quickly pick up Rashcovsky then head to the riot van and try to be first person to drive if possible. The riot van is armored so you don't need to worry about cops shooting or chasing at you very much. The pilot will likely land on airfield so head to there. Before you get out from the riot van or enter to the plane, make sure the cops around the plane are eliminated. You can even move a cop car away if there is one in front of the plane. Remember that there won't be many cops anymore around you so there is no need to rush immediately to the plane where you can't get out once you inside it. After this it shouldn't be hard for you anymore, just hope everything goes right and also hope that the infinite cop glitch doesn't happen that time.

Humane Labs Raid

Setup 1 Key Codes

Recommended role: Buyer or Bodyguard

This is definitely the easiest Humane labs and nothing can go wrong randoms as far as you do your job well. The role doesn't matter much since you can always climb down ground level to kill enemies fast and effectively, but your teammates are better protected if they are situated in lookouts. Kill all front enemies with your MG or you could also use RPGs against their cards to take them out more quickly. Enemies will come from two alleyways but they shouldn't be threat if they can't come closer. After you or your teammate has picked the package more enemies will spawn with cars, take them out before anyone leave the area. After this, enemies will chase the package but from my experience they have rarely managed to kill anyone.

Sometimes your teammates are unaware that they should leave the area to get the mission completed. If someone still hang out there just head back and take him with you.

Setup 2 Insurgents

Recommended PV: Kuruma

Unlike Key Codes I consider this the hardest setup to do with randoms. They tend to die easily at the place where Insurgents are located so first thing you need to do is get in your Kuruma (not necessarily alone) and drive fast to the place. You can skip first two NPCs at the port, they shouldn't be threat at all. Drive your Kuruma down to the middle of enemy and begin to use your AP pistol to take them out quickly with headshots if possible. When your other teammates arrive, there will be less enemies and they are shooting at your Kuruma and, therefore, preventing any of your teammates death.

Now begins the hardest part of the mission. The Merryweather will spawn infinitely so there will be a lot of them coming. I recommend being a driver of the normal Insurgent because your teammates will survive more likely if they are in armed Insurgent because of the gunner who will take the Merryweather effectively. It's not good idea to let your teammate drive the normal Insurgent because the driver won't be shooting at all anyway.

If two of your teammates go to armed Insurgent and one to your Insurgent, the best plan is to follow the armed Insurgent and shooting all Merryweather that come close to that. You don't need to focus on choppers because the Insurgents will survive some explosions and the gunner will take them out anyway. You use AP pistol so you can easily help the armed Insurgent easily, the Merryweather Mesas are somehow scripted that they tend to explode quickly from the bullets. Just make sure that you have quickmenu open for the snacks and avoid ramming or crashing Mesas because if they manage to stuck close you, they will kill you or your passenger very quickly. Escort the armed Insurgent all the way until you need to take out rest of Merryweather. Take them out easily with AP pistol.

If three of your teammates go to armed Insurgent and you are alone in your Insurgent, you can escort your teammates as above. Or you can just drive straight to the destination using offroad to avoid unnecessary risky situations. This because I believe your teammates will easily survive any Merryweather Mesas because of the gunner and passenger.

Setup 3 EMP (Hydra)

Recommended clothing: Heavy vest with Skull mask

This is actually simple mission too since you will be able to wear Heavy vest so you can easily rambo everything or should I say, be a Terminator... If you are hosting this setup make sure that you wear heavy vest suit on every teammate just in case. Anyways, once you get to the ship, have your quickmenu open for snacks in case something goes wrong (unlikely), have your Combat MG equipped and then jump all the way to the enemies. Take out any enemies you see and proceed fast ahead your teammates by jumping. Jump all the way up, take out enemies and eat snacks if needed. Always be ahead your teammates since you don't need to take cover at all, never go back just proceed ahead all time while taking out the enemies at the same time.

When all or most of enemies are gone on the deck, you can either take Hydra or Lazer because from my experience random teammates have rarely managed to fail at Hydra. But if you don't trust their skill or something, you can proceed to Hydra. If someone had got it already you can hijack it by holding Y-button (xbox) but beware, I have experienced that some players will quit if you do that. I had a hilarious moment when game didn't recognized two people hijacking Hydra at the same time which lead to the crash since they couldn't fly it at all. Anyways whether you took Hydra or Lazer and you are good at flying, taking out the enemy jets should be really easy. But be aware that their jets are scripted at first so avoid crashing to them. And they actually goes really slow so even if you are in Hydra and not boosting your speed at all, it still goes faster than enemy jets that you are chasing behind.

Sometimes people manage to crash their jets resulting their death even though all enemies were already gone. This can be very frustrating, especially if it still happens after restarts. Yes, I had experienced when a teammate did that three times resulting me to quit.. .

Setup 4 Valkyrie

Recommended PV: Kuruma

Recommended Clothing: Heavy vest

Recommended Role: Pilot

If you are hosting this setup, I would recommend you to wear your teammates with heavy vest.Take your Kuruma and drive straight to the docks where the Valkyrie is located. Take out the nearby enemies and possibly a chopper if it is near you and get in pilot seat. It is quite important to you to get first so you can fly the Valkyrie because if this chopper doesn't have a good pilot, it won't be effective at all to the enemies. Wait your teammate to come inside or you can land the Valkyrie next to them if they are still fighting enemies outside warehouse. Once they are all inside take out the enemy choppers one by one. The most effective way is being a little higher than enemy chopper and in front of them so the main gun and two miniguns can target them. This way they are most likely already gone before they shoot any rockets depending how your teammates shoots. I recommend this way because it's fast and not really hard as people think, once you get used to Valkyrie this should be piece of cake afterwards.

Other way is just take it slow and park the Valkyrie on top of the warehouse and using snipers against enemy choppers. But be aware that other three will still hop in Valkyrie which can result random teammate as pilot. You could also land Valkyrie on top of warehouse alone and other teammates are still on the ground but I don't recommend this because most of times someone will eventually quit because they might think you are not doing any favor for mission or lack of patience.

Setup 5 Deliver EMP

Recommended weapon: Fully upgraded Bullup rifle

This is perfect example for Heist setup that is most easily done if you are alone. Very many, many times this Heist has needed to restart because of other randoms. I don't even know how it's possible for them fail so many times, my worst experience was when someone just keep RPGing the incoming enemy Insurgent all the time after restarts and restarts. I think the reason for that is that not all players speak english at all and, therefore, don't understand the simple instructions that are given to us. Unfortunately in this Heist you can't rush really much because mission demands that all players need to stay together until the Insurgent arrives in Humane labs. So you must be fast after this and hope that your teammates don't fail it. All in all it's just about luck to get pass this mission early or late. If you see that your all other teammates are only low levels it's best just to leave the lobby because low levels don't likely have suppressed weapons unlocked which are required to pass this setup. Suppressed weapons are not even given in the setup I think. The reason why I recommend Bullup rifle is because I have mostly used it. I don't recommend Special carbine because for some unknown reason it has sometimes resulted me failings. For other rifles I don't know since haven't used it. But Bullup rifle works perfectly at least.

First of all the hard work is long journey. The road is long and weather is rainy, which can result that some teammates, especially beginners, get their car stuck somewhere making them frustrated which can result to quitting. So from the beginning you need follow the player who you think is going to have problems with driving, and pick him up as passenger whenever possible.

The following route is in my opinion the best to do if you are with randoms. When you all arrive Humane labs with Insurgents, the biggest problem will the first two guards at the port. Wait several seconds while running closer, let the other guard walk away and then take them both out without any risks of alerting. Sadly teammates tend to take the first guard too early alerting the second guard so keep your eye on the second guard. When they are both gone you snipe a guard standing high level that you can see through the yards before proceeding to the ports.

Next problem is the Insurgent driver that your teammates usually begin to shoot. You can either take him out before he arrives at the port or you can take cover and let it go but if you teammates begin to shoot him at the port, take him out quickly. If that fails, next time you should take him out immediately when it's possible even though you need to aim manually at the windows.

Once you have passed the Insurgent problem, the rest should be easy and done quickly before teammates possible failings. Proceed ahead until you see a car fixer, stay behing the box but don't take cover. Take the car fixer FIRST and then his mate quickly before the other shoot or shout aloud. Then continue ahead a little and take two scientist near the monkeys. Proceed ahead, wait until two scientists walk away so that you see only their back. Take them both out then take the guy who's back is facing to you. Continue ahead and take two guys next to the van then take the guard above. Go through the alleyway and take out that last enemy. Go to the van and move it so it won't be accidentally blown up.

Sometimes teammates shoot the incoming Merryweather. So once malware is planted and all are in your vans, drive up the mountains if you can to avoid the last possible failure.

Finale Humane Labs Raid

Recommended role: Ground team or Pilot

Recommended clothing: Heavy vest

In my opinion this is actually way easier Finale than Prison Break's. When you are pilot you are worried if the ground team fails the parachuting or dies in the lab. When you are in ground team you are worried about pilot's skill and knowledge where to go in the beginning. It's hard to say which role you should take to minisize failures but don't take gunner's role since every random can handle that.

Let's begin if you are in ground team. Make sure you wear heavy vest so everything becomes so easy for you. Once the pilot reach the yellow marker (hopefully he knows it) parachute down. Explode the door and have your Combat MG or Assault Shotgun in your hand and quickmenu opened just in case. Now proceed ahead like in Hydra mission I wrote above; jump and kill enemies that you encounter and use snacks if needed. Always go fast ahead your teammate to avoid his possible failure. Sometimes you go too fast that the yellow marker didn't register at all! In this case you need to come back to get enemies spawned.

Once you get the files and before you enter to the elevator, TAKE IT SLOW. If you do it too fast and go down the elevator before the yellow mark in the elevator has registered you, you will be stuck forever making it impossible to proceed! I had this happened this week when did it too fast, we got down by the elevator but didn't hit the yellow marker. Enemies didn't spawn and so didn't rebreathers. The yellow marker was still upstairs where we couldn't reach. So before you head to elevator, let your teammate go there first and then you can go there. The yellow marker should be gone and then you activate the elevator. Anyways after that you will proceed to cooling tunnel. If your teammate hasn't heavy vest, he will swim faster, which is good because then the pilot will know to land in the beach faster. Get in Valkyrie and then hope that the pilot can do his job. If he does it too badly that nobody can shoot the enemy choppers, just hop out and take the enemy choppers with RPG.

If you are in pilot role, you can either let the gunner shoot the enemies especially the enemy choppers or you can land somewhere mountain or beach and only take the choppers out. In other words, you can avoid unnecessary fights if wanted. When the ground team comes in Valkyrie, destroy all enemy choppers same way as in Valkyrie setup.

If you are the leader (=host) you should put yourself as pilot and let ground team wear heavy vest suit to ensure success in 1st attempt because I can't imagine anyone to die with that suit inside Humane labs...

Series A

Setup 1 Meths

Recommended role: Chopper team

Recommended PV: Kuruma

Go to your Kuruma and drive fast to the chopper and try to be the pilot. This is important because most of times randoms die when they land in wrong place that is usually marked as chopper's landing. This is very risky and the probabilities to die is high if done that way. Instead you can fly around the ship to let your chopper mate shoot enemies and then land on the very top of the ship which is white roof. If your teammate didn't shoot the enemies enough you should now take down nearby enemies. Take down two enemy choppers with your Horning Launcher then head to the Tropic boat that the boat team used, usually parked behind the ship. Let your teammates collect the meds since enemies in the boat use only pistol so your teammates are likely able to challenge them. While you are in the boat destroy all seasharks by AP-pistol (aim at the back seat of Seashark to explode them quickly) so you will ensure that none of your teammates will escape alone which often leads to fail because of 3-star-wanted level. Tropic is 4-seater according to Docktease site so wait all your teammates coming in there though sometimes your chopper mate will go for the chopper which is fine since it's easier for them lose cops in chopper. When nobody is in ship anymore sail back to your Kuruma and your all passengers will likely come inside there since there are no other cars near the shore. Then just lose the cops while driving towards the warehouse. If the infinite cops glitch happens you can just drive to the tunnel and lose cops safely there by getting out from your Kuruma.

Setup 2 Trash Truck

Recommended Role: Truck Driver

Recommended PV: Super car

This is the most frustrating Series A setup because if your teammates fail it you literally have to start from the beginning again. Make sure that you are not a trash collector. Get in your super car and drive as fast as you can to the trash truck. Kill the guards and get inside the truck as driver. If your other mate get there before you can hijack him out or try to be driver on the next stop. As a driver try to always drive ahead and never backwards. You must reach certain yellow checkpoints so check your radar and find your route that you could always drive past them without driving backwards to avoid collector's unnecessary dropouts.

Whenever you drive for the destination, drive near the trash so it won't take too long for collectors to do their job. Then get out from the truck and eliminate the encounters, you can use RPGs or grande launchers to blow up enemy cars quickly. When you see that the trash collectors are nearly done go back the truck. Many times your teammates still try to shoot unnecessary enemies when the trash are collected and when this happen, honk the truck horn repeteadly to get their attention so they are likely to realize to get in truck.

In hoods park the truck near the trash and you can ram these little fences down. You could just sit in the truck and eliminate the enemies on the left road and right alleyway by your AP-pistol. In Vespucci Boulevard your teammates dies mostly because of the enemies in the road because of lack cover. Very often your teammates go rambo in that open area, which will result their inevitable death. To avoid this, climb up the roof of building to take down these enemies while in cover. Don't bother the enemies in the alleyways because your teammates should take them out easily with better cover. In gas station I usually go cover between the wall and red car. Focus on the enemies in the road because your teammates are more vulnerable to them than the enemies in alleyways. The enemy cars will spawn so it's good idea to use RPGs to take them out quickly.

After the enemy encounter, especially now make sure you are the one who drives back to the warehouse. To avoid chasers killing collectors, the 100% safe way is driving near the Los Santos Customs so you can get to 'dried canal' from the hole in the wall. Drive through that canal to north until you see the warehouse and the hole in the wall where you can get up there, although you must have good speed to reach it.

Setup 3 Bikers

Recommended role: Driver

This setup contains a stealth section but fortunately it's way easier to pull off than the Deliver EMP setup because the enemies are easier to kill without worrying about alert and the supressed weapons are given to players. When you get to Trevor's garage try to show your teammates to pick up the guns if they don't do that. Show that by picking them up yourself or pointing out the garage. Then head to Dinghy to get the Lost's camp to start the upcoming stealth section. I usually take out the nearby enemies and then continue from the left side.

After this comes the harder part of the mission that is that is escorting your teammates. Most of times your teammates die because they crash into enemy vehicles or are driving too close to them so you need to protect them with your AP-pistol. Don't worry about enemies behind you because you most likely won't be able to shoot behind. Let the other friendly van drive in front of you and shoot its nearby enemies. Easiest way for this would be driving offroad before reaching the city but it's very likely that your teammate use the GPS route so just follow and escort him. Keep an eye on motorbikes, black Slamvans and the Lost vans even though they are harder to see in the dark

Setup 4 Weed

Recommended role: Ground team (Benson driver)

Recommended PV: Super car

I think this is the hardest setup to do with random teammates. It's quite similar to Bikers setup where you also have to escort teammates but in this setup there are three vehicles to deliver and also a timer that might let your teammates making rushed decisions. I recommend being Benson driver because your teammates in Technical are likely to survive themselves instead of having both Bensons driving by teammates.

Get in your super car alone and drive so fast as possible to the location, I mostly use the Western highway instead of GPS route to reach the location. Once you arrive the sawmill, take out enemies as much as possible. Sometimes you even manage to finish them all before your teammates arrive. You should leave some unnecessary enemies alive and get in one of the Bensons to get ahead your teammates since the timer starts when other reach the second vehicle. (In one playthrough while I was taking out enemies alone in sawmill and none of my teammates died and got the message 'Setup failed. Lookout (west) failed'. I really wonder what had happened?)

Drive to tunnel and wait until teammates get in vehicle because you can't leave the area too early because game says so. Follow the GPS route and kill all ambushes with your AP-pistol. What I'm more concerned are the infinite chasers so it's good idea to get ahead and finish the first chasers that will always be there. The first enemy car is blue sentinel(?) that comes from left road. He will be alone. The second enemy car is black that comes from right road and there are two enemies inside. Third enemy car is white that will come ahead and there are two enemies. Eliminate these cars and the rest enemies come infinitely, now you can let your teammates in front of you (especially the Benson driver) and escort them. The enemies will decrease as you get near the Eastern highway. Keep your eye on Sentinels and SUVs that acts weirdly ahead.

Setup 5 Steal the meth

Recommended role: Truck driver

Recommended PV: Kuruma

Even though this is the last setup for Series A, I think it's the easiest one for that heist. Get in your Kuruma and drive fast to the destination. I usually drive like GPS route but will still continue straight to opposite road until the bridge ends and turn to the left offroad to O'neils farm. Now take out all enemies inside your Kuruma with your AP-pistol, there will be several enemies indoors that you can take out easily by using grenade launcher to windows like in GTA IV TLAD. Be aware that enemies can spawn randomly near you. Once enemies are killed enough go for the truck and try to be the one who carry that propane tank. The safest route is driving through the beach so enemies won't spawn ahead of you. Take it easy while offroading because if you drive too fast the propane tank might loosen. When you arrive the road in Sandy Shores where Trevor lives I recommend just using roads and driving not too fast. This because there are several small obtacles like a stump that even the truck can't drive over. So avoid crashing to these objects or randomly spawning enemies especially when driving high speed because of propane tank might loosen or collapse resulting to mission fail due to timer.

Finale Series A

Recommended role: Benson driver

This is actually the easiest Finale to do with randoms if we don't take Fleeca in account in my opinion. Even though it might require some restarts, mostly the random teammates still continue until the heist is passed unlike in other heists where they will quit early. So the passing rate with randoms is pretty high for this Finale in my opinion. The hardest part where randoms fail is the escort part and teammates mostly die because they crash to enemy cars. However, the Benson is easy enough to drive for your random teammates so they will eventually manage to do it! And to be honest I think that chase parts in setups were harder than here.

Before you head to first checkpoint, you should at least blow up three white propane tanks from south warehouse just in case. Now becomes the part where enemies will spawn around warehouse. Even though the game tells you to stay in south warehouse you can actually move around and help both north and south warehouse so the given role doesn't really matter. The first wave come from north side and there will be two cars coming, you can just RPG them and then head quickly to south warehouse to take other two cars spawning there. After that enemies will spawn in north side, you could just go outside warehouse to east side and take out these spawning enemies. Be careful though since enemies can spawn randomly near you or behind you. In that south-east side outside the warehouse you can eliminate most enemies there by your Combat MG against ground enemies and RPG against enemy vehicles. In the last wave two cars will come to north side and in this time you can go inside warehouse and get in Benson.

Now you should rush ahead and also shooting at incoming enemy cars until you reach the point where you can go out from the highway and to the offroad between the bridge walls. This leads to train track so you can stay near that bridge wall in offroad and try if your teammates follow you. If they do, lead them to train track and follow the train track that leads to right until you get back in car road. The mission should be easily completed this way. If they didn't follow you, you can either get back to highway and escort your teammates like before or you can just take it easy and go alone in train route and trust that Technical can escort the Benson.

I feel you homie. this is my logic as well, for example on humane labs valkyrie setup, I rush through with my insurgent or Kuruma to get behind the valkyrie, get out kill the folks around the chopper. then get in the pilot seat and then get out. this way when the others die before getting to the valkyrie. the setup will restart everyone at the chopper without enemies. Or you can rush to the valkyrie fly it to the rooftop, get out and snipe the enemy choppers if you don't trust your team mates in the gun of pilot position.

That's great tip thanks, I will add that later. I guess I need to study checkpoints too in case the mission fails and to recover the things faster.

And I write

this guide assuming that you aren't using player saved outfits as default. Whenever it is possible to use heavy vest, use it, except in stealth missions (this coming later).

With these things you should definitely be able to pull the Heists off with randoms.

most heist missions are somehow doable with (some) randoms, even without communicating with them.

but the only one which is in my opinion/experience impossible to complete with randoms is the pac standard finale.

at least without being able to communicate with them, as some sort of communication is required for this finale mission.

even only with one random in it and no matter what role he gets assigned the mission is about to fail.

maybe there are some few exceptions but you gotta be very lucky to find one of them.

I actually have found quite good way to complete it with randoms. Sure they need to know the basic gamepkay at least. The only hard or lucky part is that bike runawat section but you can minisize the risks by helping them but it might still take several of tries if they still don't learn to use car instead. I will post it soon.

Since the Prison Break event is going atm I decided to make a quick guide for them first. And I will talk about a powerful gunfight.

Gunfight

As I wrote earlier you need to be pro at gunfight, driving and helping others.

Avoid shooting until your copmate has delivered the documents so try not to get a wanted level.

That is a great thread thanks for doing this, my friends don't like to play heists like me.

Since it's double cash and RP for Humane labs this week I decided to update with its walkthrough and I will also talk about driving.

In short, drive well, don't flip or crash or drive to water, drive max speed in highways, use good shortcuts

Humane Labs

Setup 1 – Key Codes

Setup 2 – Insurgents

Setup 3 – EMP (Hydra)

Recommended clothing: Heavy vest with Skull mask

This is actually simple mission too since you will be able to wear Heavy vest so you can easily rambo everything or should I say, be a Terminator...

Yes, I had experienced when a teammate did that three times resulting me to quit...

Setup 4 – Valkyrie

Recommended PV: Kuruma

Recommended Clothing: Heavy vest

Recommended Role: Pilot

Take your Kuruma and drive straight to the docks where the Valkyrie is located.

Setup 5 – Deliver EMP

Finale – Humane Labs

FYI:

In addition to the OP's post, If you are the host of Humane labs; on the first two setups I set it to 'player owned clothing' this way folks have access to the heavy combat outfits if they saved them, if not you can still use yours and get in terminator mode, ex: on Insurgents setup I use my t20 to get there first with my heavy combat suit and kill everyone before my team arrives with my combat MG.

On the next 2 setups 'EMP" and "Valkyrie" I set it to 'leader full choice' and put everyone in the heavy combat suit, because most clowns always pick some other Ken doll outfit and die. I also do this for the Finale as well. I micro manage the Sh*t out of it.

With the above method I was able to pull off The Humane Labs Raid on Hard including the setups with Randums at lvl 25, 42 and 90.

Have zero faith in randums, so don't give them the chance to fu*k up.

Also in the Finale I always put the lowest ranking randum with me, that way I can 'baby sit'

I find that really useful that leader outfit choice, I will add that thing to the guide. It definitely makes at least the Humane Labs finale as cakewalk. Using super car in Insurgent setup might let you go ahead earlier but I'm not sure if it's enough. The problem is that you must also take cover because there are bunch of enemies so it doesn't really let you kill them quickly enough. Also it would be still risky since some of your teammates tend to drive their vehicle to the middle of enemies, making enemies focus on them instead of you.

gta4_player

So it's Series A's double cash and RP week so I just released walkthrough for that. This heist contains lots of chasing parts so it might require more attention and driveby skill from you to make things gone well. I also wrote some helping your teammates info.

Series A

Setup 1 – Meths

Setup 2 – Trash Truck

Setup 3 – Bikers

Setup 4 – Weed

Setup 5 – Steal the meth

Finale – Series A

Recommended role: Benson driver

This is actually the easiest Finale to do with randoms if we don't take Fleeca in account in my opinion. Even though it might require some restarts, mostly the random teammates still continue until the heist is passed unlike in other heists where they will quit early. So the passing rate with randoms is pretty high for this Finale in my opinion. The hardest part where randoms fail is the escort part and teammates mostly die because they crash to enemy cars. However, the Benson is easy enough to drive for your random teammates so they will eventually manage to do it!

Yeah I'm going to update it soon. I just wonder the Tropic boat, several times when have tried it there were only two persons sitting in the seat abd others have just stood inside. It might be 2 seater boat even though Docktease say different. I'm going to try that setup for several times more to see if people just prefer to stay up in boat.

I also realized that the Gas station is not always the last stop in Trash Truck setup but at least the Vinewood Boulevard can be too. I found that you can still go straight to the canal even if the last stop is it. I wonder if Capital Boulevard could possibly be the last stop as well but will include that situation to my guide when I have found a good way by experimenting the route.
