Oh well. I might have liked some Yankton plates or green windows, but I didn't get around to it in 20 months, so I guess I'm out of luck.

 

People that super-armor the Insurgent/Kuruma *and use that exploit against other players* can eat sh*t and die.

 

Anyone that still needs vehicle performance unlocks that aren't rank-based are just lazy.

Even the various requirements for all the paint colors takes little time and very modest effort.

 

As long as they don't figure out how to get custom plates for free, I'll keep the app. Some cars can still only get custom plates with the app (no plate option in LSC).

Trading races with a friend outside the prison is the best way to go.

 

Run the drag races in my sig, they are more fun then just running criminal records; there's 5 of them put them in a playlist and have a blast.

I appreciate you doing this, but I'm on PS4 Are they just strictly straight up short drag races?

can anyone else confirm this? and does anyone know if a modded car (fully upgraded by modder) will lose its upgrade if i drive to LSC without the proper unlocks/levels?

Yes, I can confirm this. It appears to be performance upgrades only though. Anything purely visual stays as it is.

 

Also, it doesn't apply the upgrades if they're not unlocked and you use a proxy method, but you still pay for them.

Modding performance parts onto a car without making the effort to actually unlock them is technically gamebreaking, as it gives you the same performance advantages as someone who legitimately unlocked (or farmed) them. Now you don't have that advantage, and now people are complaining because now you actually have to race for your racing parts.

Still stands, all the people complaining about them fixing exploits are f*cking stupid. Like oh no, how dare they fix problems and try to make the game function in a way that you should be playing as intended. If you like it whatever, but the bitching about it and calling it like they're taking away the fun is stupid. You don't go play COD and complain that it's not an rpg or too much focus on shooting people or something stupid like that. That's basically what people are doing here and it's inane.

Can't see mustering the motivation to assemble others to run a bunch of boat races. Purely cosmetic stuff should probably just be obtainable via gaining levels rather than arbitrary milestones anyway.

As it was very common to modify a car via ifruit to unlock mods you hadn't unlocked in the game yet this needs to be said.

 

The most recent update to ifruit and the ill gotten money drain part 2 has changed things.. You can no longer modify a car via ifruit to unlock and if you take a car to lsc for repair that's got mods on it above your current level all those mods will be removed, no refund, gtfo type rockstar style. You've been warned! don't take the cars to lsc until you've leveled up. No fun is getting serious now.

Problem is, its a pain in the ass to even have somebody join your race lobby. Even if somebody actually joined you they'll just ram your ass until they win.

It's just ONE win in a Sea Race, ONE in an Air Race, and One in a Rally Race (driver or navigator) for all of those matte and metal paints.

For Rally, just three friends and 1-lap of Criminal Records. All four can have them unlocked in 6 minutes.

 

It's faster to just unlock those than to set up and use iFruit and Charles and it's unlocked for every vehicle of that character.

EDIT: the only way they can make sure a lot of glitchers are affected is to wreck the plates again.

I personally never cared. Having a performance advantage over players with less experience has never struck me as a "fair" race. If I cannot win on even terms, then they deserve those performance mods more than I do.

I never said it was. The point I was trying to make is that R* make you unlock mods for a reason. The whole point of unlocks is to give the player something to work towards and increase the games longevity. If you could fully mod vehicles from the start of the game without winning races to unlock mods, how many people would actually bother taking part in races?

 

The same case can be made for weapons. If you had access to every weapon as soon as you entered online, a lot a players would get bored and stop playing because they would have nothing to work towards. There would certainly be few day 1 players left.

 

A classic case of some peoples "want it now" and "something for nothing" mentalities can be seen with the igg updates. People complain that the update content is expensive without considering that it's priced more for the people who have been playing for a long time and have money to spend. Your not meant to be able to start online and buy a supercar straight away. You start out in gta:o as a low level thug/criminal and you have to rise up the ranks by playing the game to get the expensive content.

like its hard to do.....after level 50 i was tired of getting owned in almost every race because i didn't unlock performace upgrades while at the time half of the people did.

just went to my friend list, and i asked uptill i came across someone with the same isue, bam....after a couple of houres it was done.

but hey, its either that, trying to win races the normal way of dealing with this isue, im just giving advice, not my fault or concern if people get screwed
