Quick warning about ifruited cars

As it was very common to modify a car via ifruit to unlock mods you hadn't unlocked in the game yet this needs to be said.

 

The most recent update to ifruit and the ill gotten money drain part 2 has changed things.. You can no longer modify a car via ifruit to unlock and if you take a car to lsc for repair that's got mods on it above your current level all those mods will be removed, no refund, gtfo type rockstar style. You've been warned! don't take the cars to lsc until you've leveled up. No fun is getting serious now.

This is a good thing for the players who've unlocked the mods properly. Why should somebody get to use mods before unlocking the ability to do so?

You can use it to put patriot smoke, that's about all. Otherwise the app is essentially useless now, you're quite safe to delete it from your phone/tablet at this point. Patriot smoke works, so that's not the reason crew paint got broken a couple of days ago. I don't know how I'm ever going to paint a car black again.

Don't even need to do that... host your own race and turn slipstream/catchup off. The majority don't know how to use turbo boost properly - if you do, you'll more than likely win every race. I also turned off collision and put traffic on (spawns cars in the car park but after you leave the starting grid) and using turbo boost at the start combined with the majority of players not noticing the cars and smashing into them - easily got my 40 or so wins almost in a row, lost 2 I think.

I'm not convinced this is true. I'll test it thoroughly tomorrow.

 

I only say this because I just fully upgraded 2 vehicles using iFruit and Fiddler, and the upgrades appear to have stuck. I won't be able to check properly until tomorrow, but I'll confirm my findings once I've done so.

I did try to put mods on my new cars yesterday with Charles and it did not stick I will be looking for your post monkey I hope fiddler sticks

It shouldn't make any difference as they both do the exact same thing - it's just different methods. I'll have a play anyway and see what happens.

My main source of modding cars is gone now. Guess it's races now.

But in a serious matter though why did it took them this long to fix this? How getting yankton plates, a green tint or a paint job hurting anyone?

You know nothing about ifruit/charles. All it is is getting yankton plates, unlocking parts not unlocked yet, getting unique paints jobs that aren't available etc. Edited July 9, 2015 by Nick1020

So to be clear:

 

-It is now not possible to obtain a 100% armoured Kuruma or Insurgent.

-It is now not possible to obtain Yankton plates.

-It is now not possible to apply any performance upgrades which you have not unlocked.

-It is now not possible to set crew colours to low values such as pure black.

 

-Entering an LSC with any vehicle which has an abnormal upgrade will revert it back to standard.

 

-It is still possible to purchase Patriot tyre smoke.

-It is still possible to change plate text through iFruit intercepting tools.

-It is still possible to purchase green window tint.

 

Is this all correct? Is there anything I've missed?

I've had people getting butthurt about my plate today 'You haxor because you got yankton plate, gimme moneyz' You greedy cheater yadayada. Meanwhile a modder modded the car into my desires. So i wasn't the haxor.

I lost $300K in upgrades after upgrading my car and then going into iFruit and creating a custom plate. My advice is to put a custom plate and then do any upgrades. You've been warned.

Because the majority unlocked everything simply by playing super/bike races back when winning those went towards unlocking parts for all classes... no one wants to "race" hundreds of f*cking times

.. cant find my damn usb stick! lol but ill definitely test it out when and if i do find it ..

Yes, I can confirm this. It appears to be performance upgrades only though. Anything purely visual stays as it is.

 

Also, it doesn't apply the upgrades if they're not unlocked and you use a proxy method, but you still pay for them.

If they wanted us to have yankton plates, we wouldn't have to use trickery to get them.
