Like many others, I've burned some coin selling fully upgraded vehicles to pave the way for IGG 1/2 vehicles, so perhaps this is compensation.

 

If not, why do we have this rebate?

For me it signifies that we are about to get a huge new update. 25%, or a quarter if you will. Quarter means living quarters. It also is the name of various areas in cities. So they're going to give us the option to buy new living quarters in whole new areas of the city. It's not just an update, it's GTAV 2.0

The way companies are ran is to make the consumers believe we NEEDS things, not want them. If we are lead to believe that we Need that brand new iPhone and not that we just want it, we are more likely to buy it. Hence the debt most people are in from buying sh*t they didn't even need. You're confusing what needs are and wants are. The company wants you to appear to need something, but in reality it's pure want. You don't want water, you need water. You don't want to breathe, you need to. You don't need to buy shark cards, you want to buy them.

 

Creating the idea of need vs whats actually want is pure marketing, and it's well done marketing but it still doesn't make a want into a need.

It's time to start selling leads and they would like as many customers as possible on their mailing list before doing so again. They'd also like to validate and update our account information at the same time to ensure maximum return. So instead of probing us for consent they add incentive for us to do their work for them by tickling our virtual uber-savings gland.

If you say so , its all about money and advertising, trust me they have zero care factor for peasants. Lack of action on the Hardtop stallion and Crew colours proves they give not even one crap about anything else.

No.. I didn't realise the mailing list was part of the deal until today so I'm in the same boat. We are not getting any money back.
