It really doesn't bother me that R* is trying to sell cash cards. Some people are happy to buy them, other seem violently opposed to them.

For me personally, I would much rather that they leverage cash cards to be able to deliver free DLC that does not split the userbase. I am also glad that this game hasn't gone down the season pass route. I want to buy a game and then be able to play, not have to keep paying more for extra things or to unlock things.

If you're against cash cards, then fine. But the people who do buy them help keep the DLC free - so its a win-win. You are not forced to buy them to progress in the game - it's not pay to win. I have spent $16m since heists on different vehicles - all of my money has been gained legitimately. Would people really prefer the new vehicles to have an actual price tag with real money? Not a chance in hell that I would prefer that.

Sure lol who said I was surprised just saying I'd prefer less time consuming game focused on grinding and one focused on having fun.

Either way this is my last multiplayer game since the gaming industry is pushing to these cheap tactics to prolong a game vs actual content or new gameplay mechanics or have microtransactions and create a economy or progression model so slow it increases incentive to buy micros.

Here on out only single player games for me with the emphasis on fun vs slow progression and grinding.

Theres no way rockstar have more than 5 full time people working on gta v currently. Moddling the cloths and cars could easily be done by one person each couple months. I'd guess they have one guy reading forums to gather information on money glitches and the other three patching money glitches. They have no resources left to improve the game or patch other glitches. So, saying 50 mil in shark cards fund the dlc is a joke. The dlcs fund the owners pockets and very little else.

None of them are overpriced, the IGG updates are luxury item updates, meaning they won't be expensive. And they're mostly aimed at players with loads of money to spend, not people that still need to grind just to afford them.

THIS SOO MUCH THIS :) well said... So many people complaining about the price and most of them are the ones that have to grind just to buy ammo :D

Lol get off Rockstars dick that's some bullsh*t excuse. The update should be available to many players not just the ones that have too much time on their hands. Imagine Activision releasing a CoD map pack that you can only play on once you get to third prestige. Rockstar knows that kiddies will buy cash cards to own the most expensive car that's why the price is so high.

And for the record, I am an owner of the Osiris and the T20.

Yes, the updates are available to everyone, but they're also primarily targeted at players with a ton of money on hand, ready to spend regardless of how long or little we spend playing the game, or whether our funds were gained legitimately or otherwise.

The people I've discussed the update with that are poor (in-game) are the the ones that have had to grind just to afford these things, and also bring up the old and tired cash card excuse. Us players with a lot of money won't care and won't need to think about our purchases at the end the day as we know we have the money to blow.

The game has been out for two years, not everybody is gonna be in the same place they were in 2013. It's so easy to make money now so it baffles me why people are crying over updates like these.

Jesus.

Even though it's about luxury of the items, they still aren't worth their prices, neither worth it when it comes to visuals. We would need to get some very special customization options of these cars to be worth the price.

Performance is kind of a factor too, y'know? We've had three or four of the new vehicles become the top of their class, and quite a few of the new vehicles have also got a number of modification options between then. Just remember this:

You don't need to buy any of them.

Depends what you view as worth it. It's really all subjective.

Rockstar could release an update full of beater vehicles and low-end clothing and people will still complain.

Beach bum.

Luxury items, too expensive... Ba ha ha

Maybe the next update will be the "Got any spare change" update.. With cheaper items, like a new bmx, a pedalo to sail about or a nice affordable wooden stick to whack people with...

Personally I like to have something to waist a bit of the small fortune that my guy has amassed over the year n half of playing the game.

True. And I do recall a bit of hate towards that update too. It seems the only types of updates that satisfy people nowadays are Biker MC or Military themed updates.

You really are just a broken record aren't you, "zoso"? Repeating the same tired thing over, and over, and over again. In every post you make, you always bring up cash cards, but that's understandable for someone that spends most of their time in the car duping section.

I don't really care. All my 20 M left was legit and I'll probably have 30 M by the time the next update comes. Besides, the more expensive the car the more people have to pay for blowing you up. Nobody is forcing you to buy these. The next update could be back to 1 mil or under again as the luxury theme is done.

I hear Super Smash Bros is just a gas.

As for Zeppie Boy...you're obviously clueless about anything business which is why you post such drivel, but you're also clueless because this "mindless consumer" doesn't buy cash cards. See, I actually play the game, so I've never needed to cry like a bee-stung child at everything that happens with this game. Why let facts get in the way, as always?

IMO they really are overpriced. I have no interest in playing because it's just not worth my time. If the vehicles I wanted were $700,000-$800,000 tops then I could bring myself to play long enough to get them...but there's no way I'm playing long enough to buy a T20. GTA:O is just too damn boring. The updates are all that keep me playing these days...and as it seems even they can't do that anymore. Now...if you'll excuse me I'm off to play MTA:SA.

For me personally, I would much rather that they leverage cash cards to be able to deliver free DLC that does not split the userbase.

People still believe this crap? Neither the CE DLC nor the additions for returning players split the player base...nor indeed, does the Elegy. All of these items are available only to a select group of players* yet they don't split it up...how can this be...?

*In the case of the Elegy the group is admittedly very large...but it's undeniable, no social club, no way.

Rockstar could release an update full of beater vehicles and low-end clothing and people will still complain.

That...would actually be pretty cool and would make a nice change of pace, I say bring it on! Edited by MeatSafeMurderer

Yup, just like some people claim a piece of art is priceless while others would throw it straight in the trash. Anyway, the Sterling, Blackfin, Brawler, and Virgo have been worth to me because I'm having fun driving some new cars around. I also bought the fur-trimmed jackets and designer tees.

Dont worry I said it for you

vvvvvvvvvvvvvvvv

It's all shark card pricing and nothing else. Priced simply to drain funds and encourage more kesh kard purchases. People garnering large amounts of money from heists? pffft.

Once the first time bonus and loyalty bonuses are gotten, grinding becomes much less effective. The irony of the this whole DLC part 1 and 2 is that ok, even if you DID the criminal mastermind, you are just recouping your money spent on hiest DLC items.

Those that say are "this DLC is about luxury items and money procured during wealth from heists." Silly kids, they don't see that the foundational premise that the you MADE tons of money in heists is as flawed as hell. I'd submit many didn't get wildly rich doing heists and they spent a great deal of their income getting all the heist goodies.

Ergo, it's all bullsh*t and R* claptrap that you have a lot of monies to spend. A great many don't have overflowing bank accounts from heists. This is just a backdoor way play on the "gotta have it" crowd and that crowd will buy kesh kards. No amount of towing R*'s newswire will change this.

Actually I got 40 million dollars from heists,before I had 30

Plus I didn't even do any of the challenges yet.

Yep blame everything on shark cards, the stuff that funds these DLCs that you need otherwise you will complain the game is ''boring'' and then act more entitled by sitting on your lazy ass and not grinding for the items you want. Then you come to GTAF to bitch and moan about it.Its meant to drain funds so you don't moan about not having anything to spend your $ on.

These shark cards are for people that want to to continue to support the game and play it even though they don't have time to grind. That's the whole purpose of Shark Cards.

You want something?Work for it.Otherwise don't bitch about how you can't afford it etc. These 2 updates allow players to have something to spend your money on.

The thing is, when we compare Osiris to Zentorno, they preform almost identical, but the price tag is very different. I don't think gullwing doors will increase the price that much either. The car would be worth the price if the preformance difference was way bigger than it is.

For instance, Zentorno leaves Infernus far behind, unless the Zentorno driver has no skill, but the price difference ratio is almost the same as Zentorno vs Osiris, where we see almost zero difference in performance, in fact it mostly depends on preference.

Sure, you don't need to buy the more expensive variant, but if you simply prefer Osiris over Zentorno, even if it preformed worse than Zentorno, you will need to get much more money if you really want the car.

LOL everything in the game is overpriced. Not just this update. But to be honest none of the new updates interest me, but that's just me. Besides I don't need items to have fun in this game. :)

To me some of the vehicles seem overpriced for their performance but I did get most of them regardless and am happy with them none the less. Then again they are part trophy vehicles and status symbols. Like others have stated I will gladly take any dlc that is free and does not split the community in any way. I love that all the content we have received his far is optional and that we have the choice to pay as opposed to the season pass model or intrusive play gates.

I think they're all worth it imo but they're luxury items. They're entirely frivolous and designed to be expensive. Nothing you need or really gain much from that you couldn't already get, looking at it for what it is and it's expensive stuff to blow your money on

even if i have to much time on my hands and play more then most people, that kind of sh*t makes me kinda a hardcore player.....and to give hardcore players less then softcore players is stupid.

hell, i woud say after rank 200 people shoud get even more sh*t then people who didnt get so far

money locked like in, insane high priced vehicles.....well its not that insane, most people glitched milions anyway and though i think the vehicles were meant o be exclusive, they are simply not.
