Only a stupid and wasteful rich person would drop $200000 on a lowrider in real life. You're forced to in this game but in real life it would be $80000 at the most unless you're buying a really special model which neither the Virgo/Chino are. The point is, some of the prices are stupid. No matter how much money I make, I won't drop it on stupid overpriced sh*t just because I can. That's how you go broke, paying more for less. So Chino/Virgo/Toro, you three are out.

Elegy >> all update content (not DLC) cars because free. Only expense is modding it. I'll just use the overpriced flappy spoiler car stock if it's available in any races I join.

If you were on PS3,I would have let you test drive it :p

It's all shark card pricing and nothing else. Priced simply to drain funds and encourage more kesh kard purchases. People garnering large amounts of money from heists? pffft.

Once the first time bonus and loyalty bonuses are gotten, grinding becomes much less effective. The irony of the this whole DLC part 1 and 2 is that ok, even if you DID the criminal mastermind, you are just recouping your money spent on hiest DLC items.

Those that say are "this DLC is about luxury items and money procured during wealth from heists." Silly kids, they don't see that the foundational premise that the you MADE tons of money in heists is as flawed as hell. I'd submit many didn't get wildly rich doing heists and they spent a great deal of their income getting all the heist goodies.

Ergo, it's all bullsh*t and R* claptrap that you have a lot of monies to spend. A great many don't have overflowing bank accounts from heists. This is just a backdoor way play on the "gotta have it" crowd and that crowd will buy kesh kards. No amount of towing R*'s newswire will change this.

Actually I got 40 million dollars from heists,before I had 30

Plus I didn't even do any of the challenges yet.

Yep blame everything on shark cards, the stuff that funds these DLCs that you need otherwise you will complain the game is ''boring'' and then act more entitled by sitting on your lazy ass and not grinding for the items you want. Then you come to GTAF to bitch and moan about it.Its meant to drain funds so you don't moan about not having anything to spend your $ on.

These shark cards are for people that want to to continue to support the game and play it even though they don't have time to grind. That's the whole purpose of Shark Cards.

You want something?Work for it.Otherwise don't bitch about how you can't afford it etc. These 2 updates allow players to have something to spend your money on.

It's true, most of my money did not come from heists. Though the challenges were a substantial cash boost.

Most of my money came from selling cars (mostly Ballers) and doing contact missions. Also, not being stupid with money.

The game's been out since october 2013. If you're a new player and you're not cheating your way to riches, then yeah, maybe you can't afford all this stuff. But for those of us who have been around longer, content like this is great since we get a good use for all the money we saved up.

Also, who cares if you can't buy the new stuff right away? What is it with people and not having ANY patience? Wanting to have everything immediately when it is added to a game (look at raid dungeons in WoW) and actually getting that is one of the easiest ways to get bored with a game quickly.

What about just enjoying the game while working your way up to a new purchase? Jeez, people. Calm down. Unless there's something that's available for a limited time only like the Roosevelt, there's no need to get it quickly.

Luxury, high-end items are supposed to be expensive. If anything, the new prices are more fitting and the previous prices are all on the cheap.

More expensive items allows for the people who put in time/effort to enjoy some more 'exclusive' things. If everyone, got everything for cheap (which it almost is with all the glitched/modded banks), I would seriously not play the Online portion of GTA.

More or less, but not proportionally.

The Laferrari costs about 1.2million irl. Turismo R costs 500k.

The McLaren P1 costs about 1.35million irl. The T20 costs 2.2.

So the offset is essentially balanced, but it is punishing McLaren fans.

I have the Osiris and the T20 and I like them a lot, but if you don't have plenty of money the Zentorno might be more suitable for you because of almost same performance for a lot lower price.

Unless you're a McLaren fan, then you have no choice but to buy a car that is almost the price of it's real life counterpart, or if you're a Ferrari fan you can buy the car that is half the price of your real life counterpart. And if you know anything about these two fanbases, they're pitted against each other in the worst way because of their F1 heritages.

I don't think I've ever had more than 3 to 4 legit millions in the bank at most. I'm usually just saving in order to buy something I want. It took a little while ( not too long though) to grind up to 3 mil for the Hydra doing heists, missions, etc. but I soon as I had enough I was back to being broke and busy working towards an Insurgent. What is the point of sitting on all that money? I blow my whole wad usually after every update and then build it up again while enjoying the many new toys and clothes. People treat GTA$ like real money or something, I dunno.

if you can't afford a 2.2 million car after 2 years then you're playing it wrong. Go away and learn.

I have 20mil. I could buy 5 of them. Just be because you have the money doesnt mean you need to spend it.

Digital currency for digital toys in a digital world. Lets get more angray about it. Come on everyone!! Oooo!! Lets insult each others mothers in all caps to show random strangers on the internet we mean business!

The jump in price compared to other cars is high, but you dont have to buy it if you dont want to.

It's not Over-rated, it does over-priced, but they made it on purpose, just like real life "luxury item"

If you can't afford it, then don't buy it, that's why it's called luxury, as it means "an inessential, desirable item that is expensive or difficult to obtain"

A low riding land yacht such as the Virgo or Chino is not that damn hard to obtain. Not $200000. If they were going to do a big $200000 coupe then it would've made sense to do a big V12 powered, German sports grand tourer. That would've been less absurd. A $200000 lowrider is absurd. I don't care what they call it, it's overpriced. Period.

I think that is the point, using your ill-gotten gains to buy guaddy and expensive crap you will never use but flaunt to other players lol. I always felt this game was a satire of the American dream, materialism and commercialism.

"I finally bought all of this expensive crap to fill up my empty life and have more money then I know what to do and I can sit here and enjoy it all..." but then you get bored and used to it and you are back again into the vicious cycle of materialism, working to buy for crap you already have and don't really need.

The fact that you people insist on calling it kesh kerds or whatever the f*ck else makes you look silly as f*ck. Also, this is an ignorant as f*ck way to look at it. Do you have any evidence, at all, that the pricing of anything would be any different in the absence of shark cards?

The pricing, progression model in this game are reminiscent of pretty much any mmo or game out there where they want people to play and have goals to achieve. Many people like having goals to work toward. In mmos and other similar games (this falling in that category even though it's not an mmo, it uses similar philosophy in design), you have goals that take months or sometimes years to achieve. Whether it's raids and gear drops from that, grinding up honor points or whatever the f*ck else a game uses, there is an end game, which involves lots of playing doing the same sh*t you've already done to either progress or get that top end stuff you really want. This game uses exactly that methodology in its design, just toned down from the extreme of the mmo realm of months or more to achieve a goal. Did I mention that those games don't have any equivalent of shark cards?

None of them are overpriced, the IGG updates are luxury item updates, meaning they won't be expensive. And they're mostly aimed at players with loads of money to spend, not people that still need to grind just to afford them.

THIS SOO MUCH THIS :) well said... So many people complaining about the price and most of them are the ones that have to grind just to buy ammo :D

Lol get off Rockstars dick that's some bullsh*t excuse. The update should be available to many players not just the ones that have too much time on their hands. Imagine Activision releasing a CoD map pack that you can only play on once you get to third prestige. Rockstar knows that kiddies will buy cash cards to own the most expensive car that's why the price is so high.

And for the record, I am an owner of the Osiris and the T20.

Lmao who ever said free? Don't put words in my mouth. The fact that I just worked my ass off for days to afford one of the best cars in the game (if not THE best) isn't as satisfying as it could be knowing there's players driving around in the same car without actually playing the game or working for it but by paying real life money to Rockstar. That is NOT a fun multiplayer gaming experience. Save that crap for mobile games. It's amazing how people actually defend this micro-transaction greed.

So you care where other people get their money even if it's a legitimate means of obtaining it? Wow, aren't you a special little snowflake.

How do you know they didn't spend a ton of time grinding for it? Oh, you don't really unless they show you. Your whining is funny though. I'll take this optional money purchase over charging for every bit of extra content they put out. But you'd probably like that since it's behind two paywalls and makes things even more exclusive. You'd feel real special then.

Failing to see my point. It deducts from the satisfying feeling of working hard and playing the game for hours to be able to own the best car knowing I could just get it within minutes by throwing money at the screen.

How does that at all diminish the satisfaction of earning it? Because you could throw money at the screen? Because someone else could spend real money on it? What the f*ck difference does it make. If you like earning it then it makes no difference if someone else bought it with time money or real money. Obviously it holds a real value to the person spending real money on it if they decide to spend on it. You're upset that they can do that and if they didn't do that they'd charge for these updates, which means they'd be behind the paywall of real money as well as fake money. Your complaint is that people can get it simply by throwing money at the screen, so if they went with the alternative it'd make you feel even better given it'd be even more unique since it would cut down on the number of people it's even available to to begin with. That's what you want right? People to not be able to buy it with real money which in turn means having to pay for packs which in turn makes it more rare (which you seem to want)?

BlackFin is worth every f*cking penny IMO - sexiest SPORTS CLASSIC (it aint a f*ckin muscle car imo) in the game! I may have to sell my casco to make room for another so i can have one in candy red, and another with a main paint of surf blue, and secondary of cream white.

Honestly I would enjoy that, I prefer my free roam games to be grind free lol. Gta online with no money but everything available would be more fun for me as the grind kills the game for me or slow progression. I am a college student and work so I can't really spend hours playing to earn digital cash ya know

You don't play something with a time investment progression system similar to an mmo and act surprised it has that if you dislike that. Just sayin. If it's not the game for you then it's just not the game for you, pretty simple.
