It cost rockstar on their end to give us garage space since nothing is locally saved. Of course they want garage space to be a minimum for us.

I have a feeling this wouldn't be an issue at this point if a ton of kids hadn't glitched or modded a ton of cash.

I won't get any honest answers here, but I wonder of all those plying for a 4th garage, how many of you have a bank of game mode-only cash? I know I, and many others, have no need for 4 properties. Or even "infinite" properties for that matter...

I don't call them greedy. I've brought 1 shark, and have been lucky enough to have enough time playing the games that I can build money naturally. I have won a few cards in recent months though.

Well I completely missed out on the billionaire days.

I just love collecting cars, keeps me busy, gives me a reason to keep doing missions and collecting money. Then usually when I get a car done Ilike it and don't wanna sell it so I want more space for more cars.

^ That. I've been playing since day 1 on XBox 360 (now Xbox One) and have made many millions of dollars. Plus my tastes in cars aren't that expensive. Two of my three garages are mostly muscle cars and off-roaders, the majority of them stolen off the street - I only paid to upgrade them.

I'm not bitter toward R* because I can already store three times as many cars as when the game came out. That's pretty cool. But would I like to have two more garages? Heck yeah. I'd fill them up too, and it wouldn't be glitched money paying for it. (Currently I've got 14 million or so, all earned from missions and heists; that buys a lot of the kind of cars I collect.)

I agree. Another garage would be nice.

Though I think they need to update their server storage space for that. Adding another garage would make our player saves bigger. Despite the fact that they wouldn't be very much bigger, the extra space would definitely add up when we are talking about all of the player saves.

How does this effect you? Players should be able to store one of each storable vehicles if they choose to. No clue why people care so much how many vehicles other people have.

Let me ask you something. How much cloths do you own in this game? Do you own more then one outfit? Because if you do, that is stupid. Surely you can't wear more then one shirt and pair of pants at a time. (only for argument sake, since I own more then one outfit)

Point is this game is meant for players to player the way they want to. I think most of you just want to argue because you can. There is no logic behind anyone that is against us owning more and more vehicles.

You must have ADHD or something. They were responding directly to you asking how they would get the cash to buy that many cars. The answer is that they've been playing so long that they've made a ton of money.

And who is complaining? OK, some people in this thread are, sure, but not the guys you're replying to now. Not me either. This is just a wishlist item. I'd love to have more garage space, but I'm not stamping my feet and demanding it. That's how adults act.

Honestly, it is incredibly weird how guys like you always respond to this request. If you don't want a 4th garage, cool - but how does it affect you if they add one for those of us that want it? I'd say, it doesn't. And how does it affect you if I choose to collect virtual cars, or if I have a larger bank account than you (glitched or otherwise)? I'd say, it doesn't. So nothing you're saying has really any meaning to me. Yes, I want a 4th and 5th garage, and yes I want 50 cars, and yes I have enough money to do that if Rockstar lets me, and no I didn't cheat to get that money, though even if I did, it really doesn't concern you at all. I think that about sums it up.

Wish they did because in Xmas 2013 8 garages over 2 characters would have been fun!!! Its a good thing R* didn't do that in hindsight.

As for shark cards they missed a trick by not offering a discount for a few days after each update, would have sold more

I'm not one of those asking for a fourth garage, although my secondary character probably needs one...my primary character still has 3 spots open.

However, a lot of my crew-mates and buddies I play the game with are car collectors. GTA is like Pokemon...they gotta catch 'em all. And they really "need" to have more space as with every update lately, they're having to make decisions on which car they're willing to part with.

And yes, legit money...millions in legit money.

Jesus W. Christmas...this thread is ridiculous. And, quite revealing of quite a few of your ages and logic levels.

Not everything in life, and especially the "World of Rockstar", is out to get you. Seriously. There is a multitude of reasons that could be applied to the reason we've all been neglected of another 10 vehicles to paint and modify terribly, and one of the least logical of those excuses is the pure and sole desire for more money. I mean, this company has gotten some of us to purchase this game 2, and even 3, times. GTAO remains one of gaming's most active online communities across 5 consoles a year after it's initial release. Cash cards are sold regularly without the help of updates (posts on this site confirm this statement). Therefore, I doubt that the lack of a 4th garage is a conspiracy to incite a cash grab. But, honestly, what if it was?? The fact that a company would try to make money off of it's product?!! THE HORROR!!!! How dare a FOR PROFIT company participate in American Capitalism!!!! Yes...it sounds just as stupid when you all say it.

So...here's my EDUCATED and RESEARCHED speculation on as to why we are being robbed of that precious, additional storage space for 10 chrome Ballas:

Rockstar has said in the past that they make games that focus on repeatability (e.g. Bringing players back to play again and again). It's a huge part of what makes not only GTA successful, but also Red Dead and cult-hit Bully. In the same vein, I think it's also what made L.A. Noir a commercial failure, because it was not as "replayable" as previous Rockstar titles.

More recently, Rockstar acknowledged that they wouldn't be able to make DLC content for the 360/PS3 versions forever, but would definitely aim to make as many as possible available as long as storage space would allow.

NOW, being that the 360/PS3 versions saw limited brass knuckle styles in this Update (supposedly?), I'd assume that storage space on those consoles is getting closer and closer to capacity. THEREFORE, I would assume that Rockstar is withholding another garage until they've decided they've taken the last gen consoles as far as they can go. It matches the company business model, and it makes sense, honestly, from the same marketing standpoint so many of you assume to be correct, because 5 consoles worth of users generate more revenue than 3. This also continues to include all users on the last gen consoles for as long as possible, showing them that the dollars they spent on the game are just as valuable to the company as current gen and PC users money.

So, while I guess that that makes some of your assumptions of a "greedy, evil Corporate monster" correct, it is revealed to be due to a manner that is much more thoughtful to you, the consumer of their product, than you may have previously thought.

This is my opinion as a former DECA member, marketing student, and a 21 year long American consumer.

TLDR Version: Don't whine about being "ripped off" or about "being forced to buy Cash Cards" because you sound like a twat.

I do believe that R* is still making PLENTY of money from cash card purchases, if not - the most recent update would not have been free.

R*, in the last 2 years has made enough from game sales and microtransactions to pay for every planned update for GTA online up until 6 gets released, any sales now are just icing on the cake.

How else do you think there are level 20's driving around in adders, entities, fully modded kurumas, flying hydras, savages, and golden swifts? I can tell you they didnt get that money from their main character by the way they play lol

Probably they don't allow us to get a 4th garage because they would need better servers in order to store more data. And we all know how good is the online infrastructure and how they are willing to spend some money to improve it.

I'm one of the players that likes collecting cars in gta and I could definitely use one or two more garages in the future. I currently have one garage full of supers, one full of sports and the third is a mix of sports classics, muscle, with a few sports cars. As of right now there are about a dozen or so cars I would still like to add to my collection and at least one more garage would help trim that list down.

A suggestion I would have is, instead of players making a second character, the unused property space that would be assigned to that character could be given to say a player's main character. Therefore each player would only need one character while having 60 spaces, which would allow serious collectors to avoid breaking their collections. For me personally, 60 spaces is more than enough, so if this feature was an option, I think it would be widely praised by the car collecting gta community. Oh and for those that have a second character, maybe it would be possible to erase the character themselves, but keep the vehicles or to merge the data of both characters. I don't know exactly how that could work, but this is only a suggestion and is meant to be built on by other forum users, more specifically the collectors themselves.

For those that say, "30 is enough, you are just being greedy," or other things like that, put yourself in the position of a car enthusiast, who enjoys admiring, collecting and driving car. Though the cars in this game may be virtual, it is allowing car enthusiasts to live out having gigantic collections of various cars that some may never attain in their real lives. So please understand those that desire a new garage because it is one of the major reasons why we play the game. Oh and for those that are supportive of a fourth garage, just be patient, it should happen eventually and maybe when we least expect it, like during the Christmas update.

Rockstar adds six cars, so you replace six cars in your 30 car collection. Rockstar later adds 4th property, you buy those 6 cars back. More money spent than just buying the six new cars.

While it would be lovely to be able to own a greater variety of cars, I'm not one of these people screaming for a new garage every month. However I was thinking the same thing as OP - instead of encouraging me to spend all of my cash on as many cars as possible, they're forcing me to make decisions and think carefully about my purchases because I can only own so many vehicles.

All of that said, if we get to a point where we've all got 50+ cars, I'm sure I'll miss the days when our personal collection of vehicles meant something. When it showed something about our character, if you like (I mean our character personally).

Also, I have no idea what the technical ramifications are of allocating an extra 10 vehicles worth of data per player. Given how much the game/servers already seem to be under a constant struggle, it really surprises me that we were even given 3 garages.
