Does anyone know a work around for Yankton plates...?

 

Retained what I had, but cannot set on the new vehicles using iFruit & a proxy (using the code 9,5). Has the numbering been changed...?

Starting to think that's the only way now... Don't really want to "mod", but don't mind the odd "harmless" glitch / exploit. Firmly don't believe in the god-mode mod, money glitches (will exploit though) & stuff, but simple, harmless stuff that only has a benefit to my visual part of the game, I can't see an issue with if it's not going to effect anyone else's gameplay.

The great thing with it being an open forum is I can freely state my opinion.

 

And if you think the game is boring, find a new one. Fact is, people have unfairly made their game better vs other people's in Online. Simple example is my Insurgent which blows up after 5 sticky bombs and other people's who've added 100% armour to it blowing in 9 sticky bombs. The game doesn't allow you to add armour to that vehicle normally, so why should people be allowed to run around with that?
Plates don't add any extra protection or make a car go faster, but if you can't get it via normal means, why is it fair you should have them? Stop trying to cheat to get your own way. Its like those people scratching their head all day finding loopholes in legislation... That's a simile.

 

People giving themselves money doesn't affect other people's gaming experience either - but it does when that person trolls heists or doesn't put as much effort in because they can't be bothered, due to sitting on millions, or causes havoc in free-roam because they've 'gotten bored' of the game and haven't anything to strive for. Also EULA and Code of Conduct.

As has already been suggested, contact R* support. But they'd probably be of no help, for obvious reasons.

If you are on last gen a modder can take care of that sh*tty livery as well on the Sovereign.

i am pretty sure i put armor on mine (the insurgent) without having to do a whole proxy bait and switch method...unless they hotfixed it or something.

I didn't make any reference to how people did it, I honestly couldn't care less. All I said was it's not right for that to happen and/ or be allowed. Would certainly give free-roam advantages to my style of play.

Yes, you do get around the unlocks, but you PAY FULL PRICE for whatever you buy using this method...

Player still pays and and rank 100+ shouldn't have any upgrade left locked

 

50 total wins (performance mods except for armor and transmission)

100 slipstreams

1 rally win

1 Sea Race win

1 Air Race win

1 GTA Race win

25 completed Stunt Jumps

 

Any player that didn't have all those unlocked before rank 40 should have to turn in their cars and take the bus, and most of those requirements are just for paint colors.

Didn't know you could armour the Insurgent... don't have one. Seems stupid if true.

 

From what you're saying, anyone who has 100% armour on a car has an advantage over you & it's not fair...

 

ANYONE can use the proxy... it's not game-changing (unless your claim about the Insurgent is true I guess) & it more seems like you're saying "if I can't have then no-one should". When I first saw a painted Sovereign with the Yankton plates my first thought was "I'd love to do that". I didn't stamp my feet & have a hissy fit & KNOWING it was not going to effect anyone else (except jealousy it seems) I tracked done how to do it.

Haven't tried to do on PS3 lately, but all plates remained & Sovereign is still blue. Issue with PS4 & i assume Xbone.

The cost can be changed in the proxy, but you still get charged full-price. Changing it through the proxy doesn't make it through server-side checks.

Maybe if R* give us these options to actually make cars our own and give it a personal touch with different coloured window tints, new plates etc then people wouldn't bitch saying that players that have these have an unfair advantage against the rest of the community
