how exactly do car bombs work?

My understanding is that you can go to LSC and pay to have one rigged so that you can detonate it at any time. My questions are:

1) How exactly do you detonate it? (which button/controls?)

2) Do you have to buy another bomb each time you use it? Or will that vehicle always have a bomb no matter how many times you blow it up?

3) Once you blow up your car, you call MMI to replace it, just like it had been destroyed any other way?

Lately I've been using my Bati 801 a lot; it is a very fast, easy, and practical way to get around when doing missions or whatever. But sometimes I want to call up my mechanic and order something that offers a bit more protection. Since the Bati only costs 200 bucks to replace via MMI, my thinking is the car bomb would be cheaper and easier than wasting a grenade on it every time or trying to get far enough away on foot to use my mechanic. Plus, I can think of some practical applications of having a bomb strapped to it at all times...

Ignition Bomb - $5000: Anyone but you starts the car, BOOM.

Remote bomb - $7500: Go into your phone, in contacts, dial DETONATE, BOOM.

Bomb needs replaced at LSC each time, and you pay the insurance costs.

For your purposes, remote is perfect.

Damn...was really hoping the bomb would be a permanent mod. Oh well. Thanks for your help. :)

It should also be noted that with a bomb attached you cannot mod the vehicle any further, If you unlock something turbo etc or even want to change the colour you can't until its gone boom and you've got a new vehicle from MMI, Also if you want to get the car bomber achievement and tattoo I believe that it only works with a car and not bikes. (However I could be wrong on this bit)
