NYgangster25
When i was playing console, the anti aliasing looked different than pc and in my opinion, it looked better. What did the consoles use?
oCrapaCreeper
Probably FXAA. It's definitely not MSAA.
Kampret
At most FXAA.
mahanddeem
I think the answer is more complicated that just naming one method. PS4 and XboxOne are totally different systems than Windows and DirectX traditional antialiasing methods common in PC gaming(FXAA, MSAA, etc.). Frame pacing is also different in PS4 and Xbox1, which make GTA V(and all other games) on these 2 platforms quite different.
cp1dell
Are you even sure they use an AA method? It's one thing to see all the jaggies on your PC screen that's just a foot or so away from you, but you're not going notice most of them on a TV that is several feet away from you. Jaggies can be seen on any game and on any display. At least if you have a normal vision.
interfreak
I have the PC and PS4 versions of GTA 5. The AA on the PS4 is definitely FXAA, but it is better implemented and seems to give superior overall coverage than it does on PC. For instance, the map HUD in the left corner on PS4 is less 'jaggy' vs PC when FXAA is enabled. The PS4's AA is very similar to when FXAA is enabled in the Nvidia control panel on PC (and disabled in game). When enabled in the NCP, it gives a slightly cleaner result with close range objects, and is very close to what the PS4 is like.
