BroodReaver Posted July 8, 2015 Share Posted July 8, 2015 (edited) First off, Everything was silky smooth and fine before the June 10th patch, I'm really impressed on the PC port. Ever since the June 10th (Ill gotten gains part 1) patch was released, I've been having this random FPS drops. Whether I'm just standing still or moving, the frames will drop around 30-20fps for a couple of seconds and it will come back at 60fps. It's not game breaking, it's just annoying and it will happen like every hour, I also noticed a sudden framerate drop everytime when I'm buying armors in AMMUNATION (When the animation of my avatar will stand close and face the counter). Now with the release of July 8th (ill gotten gains part 2), it slows down my game like a turtle on crack. The random FPS drops isn't random anymore, Fps drops every 10 seconds in a crowded server (20+ players) even in heists. FPS drops drastically now when I'm buying armors in AMMUNATION (When the animation of my avatar will stand close and face the counter) it will stutter and freeze for a couple of seconds and then it will come back to 60 fps again when I'm in the armor selection view. That's what I suffer everytime I'm going to buy armors. Here's a new one, the FPS will drop around 10-20fps when I'm using the mini-gun, the spinning and shooting animation of the mini-gun makes fps drops like crazy. My specs are above the required specs, my temps are fine, I just cleaned my PC and put a new Thermal paste on cpu and gpu and I did all the troubleshooting I know, I adjusted my settings and even try lowering it down and I also tried to do what other people suggested in various forums. I saw other people also having the same ill gotten gains FPS drop problem and they have much higher PC specs than I have, so I can say the problem is not on my end. I'm currently in the talks with a support representative and they replies to my message once a day, it's slow we're not getting anywhere and now he's suggesting to reinstall the whole game. It will take me half a day just to download all of it. And I dont have any problems or issues before this June 10th and July8th (ill gotten gains dlc) FPS drops when pressing E to buy armors in ammunation (the drops will be triggered when the animation of the avatar starts to walk close and face the counter) Fps drops when using the mini-gun. Also, support will bullsh*t you into reinstalling all sorts, and it won't help. He's just a guy reading a troubleshooting script, and that won't solve your issue. DaBOSS54320 Posted July 9, 2015 Share Posted July 9, 2015 I just noticed the game was going very slightly slower than usual when I went on a minigun massacre... usually my PC can handle whatever even if tons of cars are exploding and there's lots of smoke, so this is new. Really annoying because R* obviously made an effort with performance for release but all that work now is being undone. -CREATIONS- Posted July 9, 2015 Share Posted July 9, 2015 Got the exact same issue with ammunation. It was already bad after IGG1 but after part two it is just horrendous. ZodaEX Posted July 9, 2015 Share Posted July 9, 2015 Please Rockstar, revert back to the pre-Ill gotten gains version of GTAV until you can resolve the very very low FPS issues. In the GTAV benchmark I used to get over 60 FPS 99.3% of the time, but after you wreked the game with the horrible patch i'm only getting 60 FPS 94.1% of the time. I even tried turning the graphics settings as low as they will go and I still get the sh*tty 94.1 percentile fluidity. Makes me sad i wasted all my spare money on this expensive computer (see signature) for such stuttery bad performance. It was bad enough that self radio has been broken since day 1 and yet your spending your time adding "bling" to the game instead of fixing serious perfomance issues. As soon as we started shooting the FIB in the alley, the framerate DROPPED. Everyone in our group had issues instantly. We also noticed the same stutter during cutscenes simultaneously. They spent years perfecting the PC version and ruined all their hard work with IGG, I noticed performance drops ever since Update 1. Just kidding I hate hearing that too, they say that as if having the latest driver for an already good GPU is gonna make it run at 9000 FPS. I'm having the same issue on my EVGA GTX 780 6GB. I recently ran the game at the lowest settings possible and saw no difference in performance. The game still stuttered. So you're not alone. I even tried asking a bunch of people in online free mode or any chance I got with a random person if they were experiencing the same problem and the majority that answered said yes.
