Randomers Messaging Me

I get a lot of spam through my xbox 360 inbox, assuming from the recent players seen list, asking if I mod or glitch. I just delete them because I like to play legit, but is it a reportable offence? And if so, who do I report it to, Xbox or Rockstar?

 

I have tried setting a filter through my Xbox settings but the filter also blocks custom content made in game by players and I don't want that. This all refers to GTA V as it is the only game I play.

No it's not a reportable offense, It's only reportable if they keep harrassing you.

 

I'm guessing you're a high level which is why people tend t ask that, There is nothing you can do but to ignore it and don't reply to them.

I'm level 105 if you can call that high so I guess people see that as such even though you can get that in two weeks. Thanks for the clarification.

Gotta remember a lot of these kids are just now starting to play so they think everybody who is 100 and higher must be a hacker because There is no way you could be lvl 100 legit.

 

I'm a lvl 253 and i get called a hacker all the time, People are too stupid to realize the game came out in 2013 and we could tranfer progress

I'm nearly level 700, and I get this alot. Even on PS4, where you'd think alot of players have transferred. Best thing to do OP, is just to ignore them. Or reply with a smart/witty response.

Block them, it's worse on xb1 if you can believe it. Previously you had to accept friend requests, now with the new follow option, I have crap ton of new "admirers" bothering me which is why I often appear offline.

I could of sworn when I set my filter to friends it blocked members content in game (rpg vs insurgents etc.).

This doesn't stop in game messages...Only messages sent though PM

Oh yeah I don't get texts I get xbox inbox messages. I just had a look again on my filters but there is nothing that suggests setting xbox messages to friends only (not that I have any).

in game messages can be stopped by a menu option then a phone option

Is this whole thing, where you message strangers (to harrash or whatever).. a console culture thing?

 

On PC.. never had a single player message me (or is it just not possible on this platform). Not counting in-game chat.

Am 115 rank or something now.. I wished I was a lower rank, because missions are so much not fun anymore with 3-4 guys going in heli's (I mean.. why always go for the easiest method if you're high rank.. I mean.. haven't you done that 20x before already?)

 

But PC is getting crowded with loads of higher ranks by exploits.. (increasing those dang jets/heli's in contact missions)

 

I do wonder why Rockstar doesn't automatically flag someoene with rank 666, but they do release DLC's with pricy items.. which in return causes more players to exploit, which in return causes yet more jets and heli's in contact missions.

 

Completely off topic.. but I wished they made those heli's and jets a lot cheaper (not that I want one) and penalize everyone for using it during mission. Atleast then the heli/jet flood can be stopped.
