Should Most Cars Have Retractable Spoilers?

The Adder really ought to have a spoiler that works similar to the one on the T20, but hasn't. The spoiler on the Adder is permanently retracted into the rear whatsyamacallit (fascia? Don't know the word in English).

 

(The Bugatti Veyron that serves as the inspiration for the Truffade Adder has got an automatic/retractable spoiler not unlike the one on the McLaren P1).

It always confused me as to why they bothered with that detail at all on the Adder. All it does is draw attention to its lack of functionality and usually encouraged me to stick with a solid colour on mine. Now we see from the T20 that it is possible for R* to do so I can't see how they can avoid applying it to the Adder.

 

To answer OP's question however, no, most cars should not have them. Why would they? o.O

If not the retractable spoiler, I'd like to see retractable headlight covers like the Dukes has. If you don't know, it works when the headlights are off, covering them with a grill plate.

Lol what? If there really was console limitations then the T20 wouldn't have it...the real question is can R* retrofit the active spoiler on the Adder or do they have to start with a brand new model?

I don't care at all about the Adder, but even though I don't drive it I still want to see its spoiler bloom...

 

Mostly though, I want to see those Huayra flaps.

 

 

It's actually rather strange that they weren't added in the first place, since the Osiris is about as recent an addition as the T20...

Hell, even the other half of the Hyaura fusion has a retractable spoiler and brake flaps too!

I bet they add a new Adder eventually. $2+million. Call it like the Adder Sport, Adder R, Adder GT, something along those lines.

 

I would buy an Adder with a bodykit and working spoiler if it had the performance to back it up.
