Mansions in Next update?

Ok so i think it would be a good idea for Rockstar to add Mansions or at least better houses. There are so many apartments to choose from, don't get me wrong some are nice, but where are the nice houses? I see them everywhere in Los Santos, but you cant even buy any. What do you think?

They didn't even add a 4th appartment to this dlc which really f*cking sucks, They need to add some mansions with 30 car garages haha. I'm still deciding which two cars to get rid of to buy the t20 and the brawler.

eh I mean I guess, kinda wouldn't make sense for multiple people in a lobby to own the same mansions out of a select few.. would certainly make for awkward moments when you're walking the grounds of "your" mansion and some random walks out of the front door lol

I'm not saying it's impossible that they'll add mansions. I just don't think they will.

It's weird too because if Rockstar were to add mansions, they'd be expensive and that would be easy money for Rockstar.

NO! NO UPDATE EVER! This shouldn't even be a recurring idea.

 

All a mansion will do is add more rooms to your home and there is literally no purpose to that. You'll be bored within an hour. Wanting more garage space is one thing but a mansion!?!? POINTLESS! They would need to add more mechanics to the game for there to even be a need for the rooms in a mansion. High end apartments only exist because of heists. They wouldn't exist otherwise since that was always their purpose. There is only 1 GOOD reason to get an apartment and only 1. Stopping the idle timer by watching TV. The bong isn't useful and neither are the drinks. Not only that but you would need windows for a mansion to be convincing and that would mean they would have to spend time creating interiors based off the design of the actual building. I cant see R* doing that unless they announce a huge update before hand like heists and they haven't. Unless R* add a ton of activities into the game the idea of mansions are pointless. Who spends time in their apartment as it is anyway? No one. Its not happening.

How can you call something pointless if one finds gratification in it for reasons unbeknownst to you?

A casino update could certainly make room for mansions to be added. You could have a 20 car mansion added to the game, purchasable in this update, and then in early-ish 2016, Rockstar could release another update offering a second mansion - and then that should be it. That's 70 cars in theory, and when there's two characters that's potential to have 140 different cars.

@Gaffa... No because mansions would still have no function other than to look pretty. Unless stuff like darts, pool, gun range, dancing, weight lifting, arcade games etc were added mansions would be a big hunk of wasted data.

 

Does anyone remember Madd Dogs mansion in San Andreas and how there was absolutely nothing to do there?

You have a point, This wouldn't be the best idea, but i mean the apartments are preety boring. And if i would have known a ton of these threads were already posted i wouldn't have started it in the first place.

I don't think its going to happen. The fact that we didn't even get a 4th garage in this update but they have already added like 10 new cars just has me at a lose. I give up, I'm not asking for anything anymore. I'm just going to play the game i love and not worry about whats coming.

 

My playtime is to short to be thinking about things that could make it better. I'm just gunna play.
