This isn't Battlefield, Call of Duty or any other military sim. It's a game revolving around criminals robbing, selling drugs and stealing. We're not bombing third world countries or preparing to create an insurrection in San Andreas. We don't need more tanks, an armoured Barracks and whatever else.

Thats why there is a military base, a military based website for buying military vehicles, jets, tanks, transporters, cargo bobs, attack helis, 100's of military style outfits and a massive selection of weapons

 

Its a sandbox game, its multiple things, in free roam how often do you sell drugs and steal compared to shooting? or seeing someone in a jet?

As much as I'd love another military update, I still believe we've got enough.

 

We have two new assault rifles, one of which is based on a G36; we have a Saiga 12 automatic shotgun, which we got during LTS; talking about LTS, we also got a sniper rifle inspired by the M39, a semi-automatic sniper rifle currently in service; we got a flare gun; a SpecOps 1911; proximity mines; two PDWs inspired by guns currently in service, one of which as a built-in suppressor; we got a Mi-24 aka a freaking HIND; we got a LAPV inspired by the GURKHA vehicles, one with a turret in the rear and the ability to carry 9 players at once; speaking of turrets, the Rebel also got one; we got a UH-1Y Venom with turrets on each door and an explosive cannon at the front; a VTOL with elements from both the Harrier and the F-35; we got military sweaters, military fatigues, tactical cargo pants, infantry pants, armoured pants; balaclavas to go with it if you want that Spetsnaz vibe; gloves of all kinds, gas masks, bulletproof helmets; two different kinds of vests, one of which acts as a juggernaut kit by raising your health to four times it's normal size; and there's probably a bit more that escapes my mind at this moment.

 

We've got enough for months if not years, mate. In the wise words of Agent 14:

 

"Countries have been invaded with less."

I sent an email to Rockstar asking them if they could do a potential future update along these lines, called the Mercenary Update.

 

These were a few of vehicles I thought would be interesting to add in, the rest I'll post in the DLC/Wishlist thread:

 

 

 

1. Kestrel (V-22 Osprey Tiltrotor)

 

Description: A military tiltrotor aircraft, designed to land and takeoff like a helicopter, then transition to level flight like a plane. Can carry 8+2 for a total of ten. Fast and somewhat nimble.

Potential Cost from WC&C: $2,000,000.

 

 

2. Andromeda (C-17 Globemaster III)

 

Description: A familiar name from GTA: SA, the Andromeda is a tactical heavy-airlifter, designed for short landings on runways. Often spotted doing relief efforts in impoverished countries, places where the Titan or Cargo Plane (which I've nicknamed Atlas) are ill-equipped to go. Can carry up to four vehicles in its cargo bay and deploy them from midair using parachutes, or 12 people can parachute out the back.

Potential Cost from WC&C: $3,250,000

 

 

3. Leviathan (Mi-26 Halo)

 

Description: Yet another familiar name from GTA: SA, the Leviathan has been redesigned into a Russian ultra-heavy lift helicopter. Like the Cargobob, the Leviathan can carry a variety of cargo, except where the Cargobob struggles to carry a Rhino or an Insurgent, the Leviathan doesn't. It can carry pretty much anything its hook can attach to. It is slow and ungainly, but durable against Homing Missiles.

 

Cost from WC&C: $2,750,000

 

 

4. Reaver (F-22 Raptor with Su-35 elements)

 

Description: While the Lazer is great for air superiority, the USAF puts its faith in a different machine to get the job done: the Reaver. Fast, nimble, maneuverable and hard to detect on radar, the Reaver is the next generation of air superiority fighters. Boasting an explosive cannon, lock on and free-fire missiles and heat-seeking countermeasures, it is a fearsome and deadly foe.

Potential Cost from WC&C: $4,500,000

I'll tell you what we need. We need a garage, a big garage in the remote areas of the game and a better place to live. We need a hardtop stallion, we need crew colour fixed on the consoles. We need a pegasus recall button, a pegasus lock button and be able to leave the pegasus gear where ever the hell we want for as long as we want like we could back on ps3.

 

Those are the major errors in the game that rockstar continuously fail to fix for months and years on end. Absolutely ridiculous those things still aren't fixed

 

And for the sake of God we need insurance on bikes and paintable bikes.. AND THE GOODAMM FIXTER ONLINE FFS.... lol

(Thought I'd bring up the zentorno) Anymore of that, we might as well call GTA Call of Duty. (Can't crap on Battlefield, it actually understands vehicles and large-scale warfare.)

Why do you assume anyone who doesn't want a military update is sh*t at PvP? I can assure you there's plenty of great players who enjoy the luxury updates we're getting. Just because they don't dress like they're in the middle of a war doesn't mean they're cowardly weenies.

 

Second of all, at least make your own posts. Don't just copy and paste someone else's.

Out of sheer curiosity I decided to have a good look at GTAV O's existing military content. Here's a brief run-down of what I found...

 

Weaponry... Weapons used exclusively by the military IRL... 14

Weapons used by the military and LEA IRL..... 31

 

Military Vehicles... 11

 

Military Clothing.

Tops.....29

Pants...34

Hats.....21

Helmets..5

Boots......6

 

That's a hell of a lot of militaria, with a little thought you should be able to create a plethora of different outfits.

Look at how many military items we have already. Look at how many military crews are on R*SC. Look at how many military crews are in the crew section. I don't see alot of people wearing torn biker clothing in FM. I usually see combat / tactical. What are You going to do with a biker dlc huh? Ride around on a bike that you'll get shot off? Lol. Yea a biker dlc would be ok, but I'm pretty sure military would be the way to go.
