tzellmer
I have successful been playing GTA V since launch, and recently have encountered some problems. Yesterday, the game loaded onto the loading screen, and right before I spawn into the game, it would crash. I tried reloading game multiple times and turning PC on and off. I disregarded it, thinking maybe I have a corrupt save. Now when I tried to play today, before even loading, I got the error: ERR_GFX_D3D_SWAPCHAIN_ALLOC_2 that says "No DirectX 10 or 11 adapter or run time found. Please install latest DirectX run time or install a compatible DirectX 10 or 11 video card. I also get a box in the bottom left of the screen saying "GTA5.exe - Corrupt File The file directory of C:\Windows\System32\atidxx64.dll is corrupt and unreadable. Please run the Chkdsk utility. " I have no idea why I am getting these errors, and don't really want to reinstall and spend a day downloading 60 gigs of data. I should note I'm running 64 bit Win 7, on a FX-6300, R9 280x, 8 gigs of ram. I also have DirectX installed. Thanks for all input.
RedDagger
Reinstall drivers, and from other mentions of atidxx64.dll try turning off anti-aliasing (the settings like FXAA MSAA in the graphics settings).
tzellmer
Reinstall drivers, and from other mentions of atidxx64.dll try turning off anti-aliasing (the settings like FXAA MSAA in the graphics settings). I am unable to go into the settings, I should have explained that the game starts in a black screen. And how would reinstalling drivers help? I already did this once due to other graphical issues, and I wouldn't look forward to doing it again.

Go to Documents > Rockstar Games > GTA V > Profiles > Delete your GTA V profile this will delete your settings Make sure you move the GTA50005 file onto your desktop as that is your game save,.
