I think it is awesome. I am grateful for this new addtion. After playing for two years, the music in GTA was starting to become a little stale. I can't even listen to Channel X any more because Johnny (mechanic) and I always had my cars on that station in 2013. This gives me hope towards future updated content.

I used to be one of those twats too, then I stopped being musically pretentious and acting like one of those 'gehehehehe rap? More like crap amirite gais?' and started appreciating most everything. I listen to contemporary music from the 1920s through 40s, big band, jazz, blues, rock, country, hip hop, soul, 80s pop, New Wave and the list goes on and on. Based on your angry posting, you're not an actual appreciators of musics, just one of those fart sniffing self-superior opinions of music. "I only listen to music from BEFORE the 90s. I really feel like I was born in the wrong time, all we have today is sh*t." That's basically how you come off when you just stomp in here railing against a station likely before you gave it a proper listen. I don't EXPECT you to like it, but your attitude in this thread sounds like you heard a song with urban sound or rapping and suddenly screamed in horror that it wasn't some now middle-aging rocker.

 

It's fine if it's not your taste, but that's not all it is, you're coming in here to just rail against it because you write off all hip-hop and rap as yoloswag garbage. Is there plenty of that? Oh yes. But you're only making an ass out of yourself by coming in here with that 14 year old on Youtuber comment of "I AM ONLY 14 BUT THIS SONG FROM 1973 IS GREAT. I HATE THE MUSIC OF MY GENERATION!" stuff. No one cares how old you are, music is a diverse and ageless artform that can and should be appreciated. Much like classic rock you can find both rap and hip-hop both have gems and sh*t. I'm not a big hip-hop fan, so I don't frequently explore the genre and I am thankful V introduced me to artists like Kendrick Lamar and Flying Lotus because had it not been for GTA V, I'd likely have never heard of them and that's where some of the 'ROCK ONLY! f*ck THIS RAP CRAP!' types around here failed at this game. This games soundtrack could do with a bigger library but it has a decent library offering a chance to walk outside of your genre comforts and explore and broaden your musical horizons. Hearing a song and it not being your preferred genre and writing it off as garbage makes you just as much of a peasant as the people you look down on for liking things you don't. I'm not saying all this to mock or belittle you, I'm saying it as a former self-pretentious 'music snob' that it's much more fun when you stop trying to cultivate that bullsh*t pseudo-music snob personality because all you'll do is make yourself look like a neckbeard otaku. Pop music broke that mold for me and I realised it's more fun to just enjoy whatever sounds good than be a head-up-my-ass elitist.

It's f*ckin great, all the new Earl songs are fire. IMO, they should do away with LSRR and add more songs to Lab and FlyLo, classic rock and metal f*cking suck and are cancer to the ears and to music as an art form altogether. Especially their fans.

Overall it's a really good station.

Yea heard that one a few times and like that one too. Also, now that I've heard them all got to add Speedline Miracle Masterpiece and Leave to the list. The rest I don't like.

 

Even though this station isn't the typical music I listen to, I like quite a few of the songs. This is why always give all the stations a chance, even if it's a genre I'm not usually in to.

Amazing radio station, there about 3 or 2 songs that I dislike, the rest is pretty much fantastic. Speedline Miracle Masterpiece is a special one because I love TV On The Radio and Tunde Adebimpe just kills it in a good way.

So after a few days of checking the station out occasionally, the only song I've found so far that I could stand was by something called "Wavves" (how do you even say that? Waves? Wavs?), and I didn't even like it much, it was just inoffensive and didn't make me change to another station as fast as all the other stuff has so far.

 

It doesn't take up as much space on my HDD as I expected it would though, so I'm not really annoyed by its presence or anything.

 

Still can't believe we have a game based in a fictional version of California, with a "rager" style character in the single player, and plenty of violence and drug/alcohol references yet we don't have a thrash metal station.

Am I the only one here who has a diverse taste in music? I could switch from 70's yacht rock to modern rap to jazz to 80's pop to early 00's pop to 90's rap to electronica to The Lab's type of music to 90's grunge to indietronica to 80's/90's/modern R&B and so on and so forth. Guess I'm just lucky...

After listening to it after a few days, I can affirm I love the station. Welcome to Los Santos, Play It Cool and Trouble are my personal favourite tracks, though all of the songs are great. I hope the radio stations in GTA VI will be made with the same care and attention that The Lab was given.

The black hole comment was funny though because he would clearly talk and it sounded like his mouth would drift away from the phone. That's generally how some Jamaicans talk, like they pick up speed and gets lower at the end.. Lol
