I had just sold my Vapid Guardian to make space for the new Coil Brawler, then I went to sell my Cheval Surge to make space for a T20, only to be told "Sorry - we don't need any vehicles right now."

 

What the f*ck?

 

The Guardian was not stolen it was bought so it shouldn't interfere with the 1-stolen-car-per-day selling restriction. Now I gotta wait almost an hour before I can buy the T20, or destroy the Surge, what a steaming pile of bullsh*t this is.

Yes but the Guardian is a Personal Vehicles so it's not subjected to the restrictions as cars stolen off the street are subjected too not to mention being allowed to sell up to 6 street cars back to back per 24 hours

As far as I'm aware, all stolen vehicles have a 1-game-day (48 minutes) time restriction between selling them, and bought vehicles can be sold at any time with no time restriction, unless R* patched it because of the scumbag cheaters.

If you didn't mod the surge, just replace it. It only sells for like 3500

I hope this isn't a new thing whereby there's a 1-per-game-day limit on selling all cars.

 

I'm tempted to test this out by buying & selling the Karin Rebel a few times because it only costs $3000.

The way I've always experienced this you can sell 1 car every 48 mins. Sell your surge first and because your guardian was bought you could sell it immediately afterward it doesnt have a selling timer on it. However sell your guardian and you gotta wait 48 mins because your surge wasnt bought it was stolen. All are subject to initiate a 48min wait to resell another car however a bought car bypasses this.

You would have been fine if you had of sold them the other way round bud. From now on always keep you bought cars til after you sell your stolen one as they aren't limited by the timer.

I'm nearly 100% certain thats how the system works and has worked.

Cars bought from the internet have no cool-down. You can sell 30 of them back to back. Cars taken off the street then modded have the same cool down as non-PVs

It WAS patched, and you can thank asshole exploiters and people like Domislive who spread the exploit for all to see. Duping personal vehicles and then turning around and selling them one after the other is how the billionaire days started. Do it enough times to afford an Adder, then start duping the Adder. Some players still have a garage full of Adders to sell one at a time.

Methinks you would've been ok to sell them the other way around. Always sell the street car first before selling the bought one.

27m - sold Karin Rebel

39m - buy Karin Rebel
42m - sold Karin Rebel

55m - tried to sell stolen car - "Sorry - we don't need any vehicles right now."

90m - managed to sell stolen car, 48 minutes after selling legitimately bought car

 

So it appears selling ANY car will cause the 1-game-day (48 minute) countdown timer to start until you're allowed to sell a stolen car.

I detest bullsh*t changes like this, especially because it was initiated by bloody glitchers.

i just had issue selling, but its something different. raised it with r*, anyone got any ideas? dont wanna have to replace it but will if it cant be fixed.

As far as I'm aware, Mesas taken from Mercenaries attacking a player, or a mission, or a gang attack, can never be sold. I have one from each of those sources, each fully upgraded and each unsellable.

I rarely sell bought cars so I didn't know it has always been like that.
