Got $550,000 back from buying my T20. Which is, coincidentally, how much I needed to get the Brawler... I love free cash...

Hard to blame people for worrying about something when 1) it's not quite clear how it's supposed to work exactly (hence all the questions in this thread), and 2) there's a delayed rollout over a period of days for no clear reason (you'd think virtual money could be distributed a little more easily).

Got my T20 rebate today. Not quite the $550,000 everyone else is getting as I only paid $1,980,000 for mine. Thanks, LifeInvader B-)

People are going to be flooding them anyway, as soon as tons of other people start saying "I got my rebate!" and they didn't. i.e. Exactly what is happening right now.

There is no doubt about that in my opinion (timer). Instead of getting the rebate right away they cleverly made it so that you get it after some time - which feels more like a gift - from Rockstar. It feels more special that way, and they also get more positive attention in a forum like this. Cleverly done indeed. Edited by C64fanatic

There is no doubt about that in my opinion (timer). Instead of getting the rebate right away they cleverly made it so that you get it after some time - which feels more like a gift - from Rockstar. It feels more special that way, and they also get more positive attention in a forum like this. Cleverly done indeed.

 

Yeah, game companies have learned from casinos .

 

Danny had a show about this, its about a different game but shows the trend.

Takes 6 days to get your rebate

 

Thing is it has to be lower then 6 as you can purchase it until the 15th, so if you bought it on Wednesday you should receive it next week Tuesday the 21st, however it stated you will be reimbursed by Sunday the 19th.

I bought 3 or 4 cars because I have no reading comprehension and thought the rebate applied to any purchase during that time.

No. You get the rebate for the first car you buy after you complete the requirements.

No. You get the rebate for the first car you buy after you complete the requirements.

 

Damn, I may be screwed then. I bought all the new cars before completing the requirements. I guess its only 2 pacific standard finals worth of money, so I don't think I'm missing out on much.
