So I subscribed to the mailing list then went ahead and bought the T20, already having a SC account and being in a crew. But today I found out that R* sent an email to verify my email address AFTER I signed up for the mailing list, but I'm pretty sure you verify your email when you make a SC account, right?

I signed into the social club and clicked on all the items required for the rebate on the list until it gave me a green check mark on each and got my money the next day.

Lol I'm such a retard. I have this OCD thing of buying items in order so obviously I bought the Brawler first, seeing as how it was the first one in the website list. Not only that but I was half asleep when I first checked the Newswire post about the rebate, thinking it was the same thing as having a discount, so 25% off my first purchase bla bla etc.

 

Later did I actually take in what it meant, and God damn I wish I bought the T20, I sort of need the money right now lol. Spent 7 million on IGG2, left with 420k but I was back to 1.5mil this week. That extra 500k would have bumped me up to 2mil, but instead I get 178k deposited into my account lol.

I want to know this, supposedly my e-mail was already verified (but I can't access it anymore) and I'm afraid I'm screwed.

As long as you bought the T20 AFTER subscribing to the mailing list, you should get the rebate. You're all good regarding the Social Club stuff.

 

I just realized you had to have verified your email before buying the T20. The verification process for your Social Club account and Rockstar Games Mailing List is different, even if you use the same e-mail for both. Not verifying your email for the mailing list before buying the T20 is pretty much the equivalent to not subscribing at all.

 

I'm afraid you might be screwed.

Roughly an hour ago I bought my T20...here's hoping I wasn't too late. The post said the 15th...lets just hope they didn't mean before the 15th.

I've had a sc account since 2011 i dont see anywhere where it says to verify my email on sc and i dont have emails that old

No, I mean why in the form of a rebate lol why not just make it so you get a 25% discount off the first vehicle you buy from there once you subscribe to the mailing list. Look at all these confused people asking questions, like it would be so much more easier to do the discount thing.
