FPS drop after update

Is anyone else experiencing a FPS drop after this update ? My stable FPS went from 50 - 60 to 20 - 30 when in a session full of players. Any possible fix for that or did R* just screw up on something ? What else I noticed so far is that almost all the frame skipping is gone.

 

EDIT: Also the last 2 days my GTA O started to randomly crash every ~30 minutes, breaking all the fun I can have.

I dont have a FPS drop but since the update before this I have been getting random stutters. They will last like 2 minutes every few seconds.

 

Still have not figured out why the hell it is doing that.

It drives me insane, It ran beautifully before the IGG update. Seems to be slightly worse with this one.

 

And nobody has an answer for it either (not to derail OP's thread) but its in the same area and most likely related to the same issue.

 

I saw a support ticket where rockstar told the person to lower the resolution to have it run smoothly when they clearly stated that it ran perfectly before the IGG update.

Yup. I guess we have to wait. I just upped my virtual memory on my PC (page file) even though I have 8gb of ram.. I have not tested it out yet. I will report back tomorrow unless someone tries that before me.

One moment you are flying like an ace, next you are crashing into a building.

 

 

I love a jet, and fly them often.. this is killing it.

Yep, I'm getting it too. Oddly, it's worse in SP than it is online. Online it's only occasionally. SP it's fairly constant. Weird.

I noticed it happens most when police are around, the moment I got a few cops around me the slide show begins. I'm surprised there's not more posts about this, everyone i know has either stopped playing gta because of it or is complaining just as much as me.. I also noticed the network lag is a lot worse, that could be because of the influx of players wanting to try out the new stuff though.

Same here, and just before (when I'm gone shop armor) the armor selection comes up in ammo nation its a slideshow.

I forgot to mention that for me it's in form of occassional lag too, sometimes the FPS increases, but sometimes there's no lag at all, it's very weird..
