I didn't know that and now learning about what it is, made me fall in love with this gun even more. I too thought it was a early 1800's gun until your comment. What is the real life version used for when the gun is that powerful?

It's a TC Contender. It's a single shot break action weapon that comes in rifle and pistol. You can effectively change the caliber with minimal efforts in changing the barrel assembly, so you can buy one frame and multiple barrels in any number of sizes.

 

Most people use them for hunting, including handgun hunting. The Marksman Pistol is basically the GTA version of this. It shoots a larger, rifle, cartridge out of it. Without being too pedantic, it's easy to presume it's a .308 which is commonly used for medium sized game and is the common round used in most sniper rifles in the military.

 

So, yes, it's a very big rifle round in a modern gun.

For anyone who's interested this pistol seems to be based upon the Thompson Contender, a very accurate, break-barrel single shot pistol used for hunting.

 

If it firesthe most powerfull cartridges available for it that pidtol is said to be not accurate at all

Nope. I like GTA and I like killing people in a game as it is - well - a game and it is fun.

But in real life guns are disgusting.

 

Seems kinda ironic coming from someone with a flag of Germany, seeing as some of the world's largest and prolific gun manufacturers reside there.

And the one country with hella strict gun control laws.

Still, I didn't say I agree with the weapon lobby in Germany.
