Nick930930
Anyone else feel like they had a great product then they decided to release updates that are just ruining our fun? I plan to never again have my modem connected when I run the launcher. I'll just reconnect the power to the modem after I'm in game. To be forced into downloading a patch that will wreck my offline mods, it just isn't worth it. No i don't feel that at all. Any stupid glitches they fixed are for good reasons. Things like driving vehicles into the bay door of a cargo plane were patched so that the servers wouldn't freak out and ruin the experience for other players. Why is everyone on this forum constantly pointing fingers and rockstar and saying they hate fun? They made the entire f***ing game! They're entire goal is to make a fun game. This patch obviously had unexpected performance problems that will no doubt be fixed with the next patch. Just relax and play Witcher 3 in the meantime, at least that's what I'm gonna do... that game is so friggen long.
Spider-Vice
It's funny I can see the stuttering on their stream. It also looked like they turned the graphics way down also. Yeah, I wouldn't be surprised if they had orders to lower the graphics because of the stutter-party the game is now. Knight Racer
I was able to jump over anything in my car, be completely indestructible and unstoppable, modify car textures. I was having fun as soon as the game came out. All these repairs and suddenly all my mods don't work anymore offline. Their patches overwrite my file changes. I never had an issue with any of the glitches they were trying to repair but now I do. If they don't bother having 10 people in house play the new patch for several days to fix before it's released or even ask for volunteers outside of their own company to test patches then stop making patches. barterlos
last patch really messed up vsync i think, at 60hz with in game vsync, engine is rendering 61fps lots of the time,59-61fps on vsync 60hz cause stutters, and they f*cked up particles system, shooting in the ground cause fps drops(maybe is related to the smoke that is appearing), shooting in the wood/planks/cardboard=framedrop, police sootouts=frame drop, my last long session with the game was on 350.1, and that was buttery smooth 60fps vsync my rig: gtx 970 and i7 4790k [email protected] Edited July 11, 2015 by barterlos UltraGizmo64

Ethenal
Does anybody notice that since a couple of updates back, the minimap is off? Go to the main Los Santos Customs in Los Santos and look at your minimap... the position of your player on the minimap isn't correctly synchronized with the map i.e. it shows me a few feet off of a road when I am clearly ON the road. Also, if you have auto-start in the options menu when you start GTA V and it begins loading the game, it shows me the Xbox controls instead of the regular keyboard controls. I thought it was the audio engine having a delay in loading the files but you may be right. Now if only Rockstar fixes all of this fast. FixingG00D
Not that it will proberbly make a difference but if everyone could use the #GTAVStutter @RockstarGames @RockstarSupport regarding their stutter issues, stutter video links, stutter articles, complaints, etc, or simply retweet other people's tweets about this, if you are experiencing these issues. the negative pr explosion might help to insist they look at this issue seriously and in-depth. Currently they seem to be asking everyone to submit tickets which is a waste of time, and their advice is usless. It seems it MIGHT be a memory problem related to anti-modding measures https://www.reddit.com/r/pcmasterrace/comments/3cz23y/rockstar_being_rockstar_adds_junk_code_used_to/ I guess this would explain why people got better performance before these latest updates (before these enhanced anti mod measures were in place) How dissapointing. I wish it would just run a quick file check to search for modded files and then not let you launch online mode, rather than have realtime memory bottlenecks. Maybe just launch into multiplayer from pause menu and keep things seperate from SP. Iguess there is a reason this wont work. _MK_
It would only be called a "solution" if it involved the patch itself, what you did is called a downgrade. Poeple should really stop the "fixes",nothing can fix this unless R* rolls out a new tested patch. Edited July 12, 2015 by _MK_

Live memory decryption because of mods (code (natives) is encrypted now), which means that there's extra overhead, which means that every action will use double the CPU (because it's being decrypted), causing issues. R* dont know how to stop hackers, thats why they are implementig new layers of protection, i dont know if R* can win against hackers on PC Edited July 12, 2015 by barterlos

Nick930930
Not about to roll back. No sense in doing that considering I want to actually play with my friends. Going to just have to be patient and wait till Rockstar fixes this. I'm wondering if they'll remove this anti-mod system altogether due to the performance issues. I honestly wish they would just seperate the two games already. Just like how Call of Duty has two seperate downloads, GTAOnline should be seperate. That way if you try launching the online app, they can run a scan for mods and either let you play or keep you from playing. This would likely in result in a few people getting screwed over now and again, but at least it wouldn't affect EVERYONES performance. lydianduck
Spider-Vice
That, however, would probably need a huge restructuring of the engine in certain parts, to divide both games (given V has had them integrated since well, basically always), and Rockstar would never do such an effort just for PC. rossifumi
"Rockstar Games added some new anti-modding/anti-hacking technique with Patch 1.28 as a measure to strengthened their protections against modding." so this is why the game f*cked up. SO f*ck YOU ROCKSTAR... AND f*ck YOU MODDERS AND HACKERS TOO. MOD MINECRAFT THAT IS YOUR GAME... ^ That's bullsh*t. FixingG00D
All patches until today: http://www.grandtheftauto5.fr/telechargements/index.php?act=category&id=6 Are these patches for steam version? How do you stop SC forcing you to go online to verify? Is the day one patch considered the most optimised for SP (not including bugs that were later fixed). I'm just looking for that smooth performance before this ill gotten gains fiasco. Also will latest scripthook and mods work with these legacy versions of the game? i.e backwards compatable. Thanks for linking these. I'm sceptical that rockstar will scrap this anti mod scheme or fix it fully in their next update. I set up a twitter hashtag #GTAVStutter @RockstarGames. They tend to act like these problems are isolated issues rather than widespread. Edited July 13, 2015 by FixingG00D

It might not be a solution as such but if they fail to fix this issue fully in the future, this will be viable for those only interested in SP. I'm glad a version of this existed where it wasn't degraded by Rockstar's own measures. Sadly they wont support this title forever. That said, I really hope they patch this mess.
