i kinda hope they make 'em more agressive so riots can happen anytime during the middle of a story and you won't progress until the bigots are in jail or something bigger happens that makes everyone forget about the crime

Never. Rockstar will never change the way how cops act. If you think they are, keep believing that.

Seriously though, they aren't going to do it, since they would have to modify how the AI works, which is usually a long process done during the game development and that, unless due to game-breaking bugs, isn't modified at a later point.

He he no way man. At least not to my concern. Cops have been agressive since gta 3 and so on in the series. Cops in V bust you for anything you do. I can't jack a decent car without cops on my ass. So i don't think R* will make them less agressive. You stand close to them for at least 3 minutes then they call for backup..like wtf i was just standing here bruh. So you get my point right?

I have no issue with the cops. If some ped says they're going to call the cops on you then just KO them before they make the call. If the cops are coming for you then just lose them and hide until your wanted level returns to zero. I find the cops in GTA V to be more fun than in any previous GTA. As long as your radar isn't flashing red and blue then it's a simple case of staying out of their line of sight.

Maybe on GTA 6, enjoy the next 3-4 years being shot with a pistol from 234602 miles away.

Thing is, as some said earlier, the cops being aggressive and animals reporting crimes seems to be a design decision, and as such, the third option seems more likely in this regard.

I still don't understand the reason why they have such a odd design which anyway got improved ( to an extent ) through modding on PC and feels quite better.

Rockstar just needs to tweak them.

Very unlikely that Rockstar is ever going to alter the police AI considering that it has been this way since day one. Stuff like animals having the ability to report you for every crime you commit, or pedestrians being able to report you just by seeing you breaking the laws makes no sense whatsoever. It is definitely a way to make the game "harder" and more challenging in a quite annoying and intrusive way, though. It would be nice if they changed that but realistically speaking, I wouldn't expect such changes to be made after almost two years.

That Stuff like the Animals calling the Cops on you is a very cheap way of adding Fake Difficulty, in my opinion.

Not sure on that one. I wish the cops in V were more like the VCPD in Vice. They were bat sh*t crazy, often flpping and blowing up their own cars trying to catch you; but they only got that way if you actually did something bad enough to warrant that level of force like killing a cop or rocket launcher everyone in The Malubu, not because you happen to just look at them for 2 seconds.

Slim to dumb! Rockstar thinks their Cop AI in V is "revolutionary" in scale and design and they simply will not tolerate any criticism of it! Also look how hard they made it for PC modders to change it by making all the Police files .ymt files!

Remember that Rockstar is the most Narcissistic game developer out there by a long mile!

Did you just call R* narcissistic... do you even know what that mean ? eh....

And in case you didn't know...you can modify dispatch.meta quiet easily actualy...

No chance. They made them the way they wanted them to be, and that's what we've got. Remember, developers have their own vision for the game as much as they need to give gamers what they want.

Personally, I'm fine with the cops. They're aggressive, but can be escaped from easily enough. I personally think the cops are better than they were in IV, as the cops in IV were just retarded in comparison (I made a big old thread about this recently, most people disagree with me as always).

Signatures are dumb anyway.

I like the Cops in V (Shocking right?) and in IV.

V's cops are more of a challenge, which is good in some aspect.

Whilst IV's are more of a relaxed way to kill Cops.

Except the cops in V were like the only thing the fans didn't want from the developers.

This is probably going to sound quite dimissive, but... so what?

I played Watch_Dogs, having waited a good couple of years for it and that game was filled with sh*t I didn't want from it. It barely delivered on any level for me.

And I have never, once, ever, gone on to a Watch_Dogs forum and whined about it. It just didn't meet any of my expectations, I moved on and forgot about it.

Seriously, what is it about GTA that makes the fans so achey around the arse?

Signatures are dumb anyway.

If you can't escape the cops then you're not playing the game right.

Yep.

The lack of fun during shoot-outs with the police. You can't stay in your place more than very few minutes before being swiftly eliminated. Edited by SuperGTFan
