Do any of the pants give you extra protection in heists?

This is something I was wondering after making a "silly" heist outfit consisting of a pig mask, heavy utility vest, pink short shorts, and flip flops. Does anyone know if there are any pants that add extra protection in heists? Or is there none, and that wearing combat pants is no different than wearing short shorts in terms of added protection?

No they don't. Only the heavy vest and bulletproof helmet matters. You can wear any pants or bottoms you want.
