Happy Holidays from the GTANet team!

I've come to love sniping people for no reason.

I'm rank 156 online and I have had the Heavy Sniper for a while now. I get tired of CQC and dying and all of that stuff, so I just got in my buzzard and flew from rooftop to rooftop sniping everyone I could see....

So many ragers man it's funny! This guy got a tank and tried to shoot me, but I sniped him through the door and then he ragequit after saying that he was going to hack me!!!

Sniping>everything

And to top it all off, there's a sniper rifle for every occasion, there's the semi automatic one for closer range, the regular sniper for silenced takedowns, and the heavy sniper when you don't care and want the 1 hit kill.

I must admit.

I to, love sniping from rooftops.. I get my favorite beverage of choice, and kick back, snipe players.. They do get sorely pissed. hahaha..

A lot of fun.

It's really fun. I'm not like you, I don't go from rooftop to rooftop, but if I get in a combat situation, I will try to find a ladder to go up a building and hide. Many times they will think you're below, so it's an easy kill.

I need to do this more often; it is fun! Patience is needed though; it's way too easy for players to dodge your shots just by moving around between buildings, etc.

I also usually do something that gets the cop choppers/NOOSE on me, and the fun soon ends...lol.

Normally when I'm in search of griefers, I grab my Hydra or whatever I feel like flying and head up to the top of the Maze Bank tower. I reduce the aiming sensitivity, lay back, grab a bite to eat and snipe the hell out of them. Can't believe how stupid some really are. They drive to the bottom of the Maze Bank tower but it doesn't even cross their mind to think I'm on top.

I like sniping with a buzzard.

Land on one of the tall, twin buildings that overlook Vespucci helipad then wait for randoms to collect their aircraft. As soon as they climb in and the engine starts firing up, for that moment they are open to fire.

I simply rise ever so slightly, lock on and BOOM!!!!!!

Sounds to me like you guys are sniping low level rookies, at that rate just get on street level with a carbine rifle and get more kills off the low levels for your precious K/D lol. Sad, the extremes you will take to not die, and the amount of time wasted waiting and hoping some low level rookie walks into your sights. Just give up on the game and move on to something else at this rate guys, you are so obviously done with the game.

I use to snipe people from bushes in RDR while in a hardcore lobby. It was a lot of fun.

I have been playing GTA5 since day 1 and I have yet to go on a sniping spree. I will definitely have to try it someday.

...I reduce the aiming sensitivity...

Does reducing the aim sensitivity help when you are sniping? I have never messed with that setting before.

I love sniping as well. I love finding roofs near Free Roam wars and sniping the participants who can't afford to find me or they'll get shot by somebody down there. xD

And THIS is precisely why I drop proximity bombs on the roofs of all the tall buildings. Had enough of snipers getting easy kills.

The first bomb usually destroys their helicopter. The second I hide in the more popular sniper nests on those roofs. It's always fun to see my name pop up with another player's death.

Ah. Good times! =)

Passive mode until you're at your spot and your whole strategy is neutralized... I could just get my hydra and parachute in passive mode to the spot...

Confirmed; Brown-ness is the punk passive mode/sniper we are always making fun of on this forum. I declare from here on in that whenever we bring up a passive mode pu**y we just say "a Brown-ness". for example,; "So I was killing this clown over and over again, because he was garbage, and he totally pulled a 'brown-ness' and then started to follow me while in 'brown-ness mode', what a punk loser."

I find the fact that someone has to use passive mode to get kills more funny than anything. They're usually always the dude bragging on their mic too lol.

Most common quote for me is:

"See dem skills, bwoy/son?"

Hey, I don't passive mode once the fight has started. All I need is a guaranteed safe path to my spot and the rest falls into place. Go off radar and do what you want, I'll just keep the one entrance to my spot decked with bombs until you're visible again.

Only time I've ever been whooped that badly was when I was broke and ran out of ammo after like a month of just griefing...

If it ever gets to the point where I'm compeltely out numbered and it's like 9 to 1, I'll hit up some friends of mine from irl and we'll just storm the place, I have a friend who's a great pilot, and the rest love sniping too!

I have a mic, but I usually just put my chat to everybody and leave it off. I love hearing these grown men and women cry like children because they can't get me. One of the best feelings of all GTA is when you've taken someone out 12 times, and they kill you once and they go ballistic, texting you hate messages, saying how you're trash...

I'm a tower sniper too. I actually like the roof of Tinsle Towers. It gives you a nice view down both directions of Poplar Street and a great line of sight for the LSC. Also, there are massive AC units that cover your ass from snipers who may nest on the crane near Eclipse Towers.

True, but it ONLY works if you know there are prox mines there. 99% of the time, people fall for this. The other 1% usually get lucky and miss the mine when they land.

I'm patient though! And I LOVE to spectate griefers at my apartment. I know who is where. I will eventually get ya! ^_^

Turning passive mode on to avoid dying while finding a spot for you to kill still counts as passive mode assisted killing to me. I'm not trying to make a big deal out of it or anything but you can't act like you're this beast sniper when you just said you'd use passive mode to get you where you're going. That's not pro skills in my book.

Not saying you claimed to be anything, either. Just stating my opinion on the matter while the subject has been brought up.

Hey, if they can bring in half a lobby of people to try and take me out, I can bring in 3 friends to help.

Most of the time my mental state is completely psycho so I don't join noob lobbies like 90% of the replyers said I do..

I usually face off against people rank 180-300... and they're all in some kind of "military" crew....

Thank you! Why bitch and moan? What good does it do you?

My opinion is to beat them at their own game. If I keep getting killed by a player, I'll switch up my tactics and go at it in another way. I have ALL the weapons/bombs etc. I have plenty of choices and tactics to choose from. One of them WILL eventually get ya.

I will say I'm sneaky as all f*ck! I'll even leave you alone for a while just to make you think I've given up. THEN is when I love to strike. I go off the radar and hit ya like the hand of God.

Like I said before, I love to spectate other players and know where they are and what they are doing. It makes it easy for a revenge kill. I started The Hitman Union for a very good reason (although it's as dead as Dillinger now). No one ever sees the hitman coming for them until it's too late. Thats my motto. Now, I won't mess with anyone in the game UNLESS they try to kill me first. I leave everyone alone. I'm too busy making money and leveling up. But if someone shoots at me.......

It kind of is, especially when you find out what your victims are doing before you pursue them.

I love finding people who do those cop distractions in the insurgents, it's an awesome feeling when you snipe the driver and the gunner when they're almost done with it.

From like 1-125 I was that guy with the carbine rifle who went in guns blazing, but why do that when you can get 20x the kills and hear players rage?

If I see a guy trying to get to LSC to modify his car or something I'll leave him alone. I just drop in on already popping firefights and pick anyone off who's unlucky enough to wander into my view... It's even more awesome when my friends are there with me... it's like 4 eagle eyes just trolling everyone... and we all have almost all the pegasus vehicles so if they want to we can go tryhard too...

But I'm gonna go off to boot camp in like 2 months so I don't wanna buy one and have to leave right when I get it.

This isn't making your story sound better, you are just further proving my point of what a worthless player you are. You have failed to show any skill or cunning playstyle.

what you have shown is;

1. you suck at combat so you wait until others are engaged in combat and pick them off.

2. you use passive mode to find your spot so you don't accidentally find yourself in a real battle

3. when the going gets tough from the problems you started, you call in back up

4. your answer to any combat is either sniping unsuspecting players or using pegasus vehicles

You are the kind of player that during a DM or TDM gets owned time and time again. That is if you ever join a DM or TDM, cuz ur too busy waiting hours on end on a rooftop praying someone walks into your sights.

My point is you are an under-developed player. You have essentially given up on yourself, rather than sharpening your skills you have given in to the risk-less easy kill.

The goal is to take out as many people as possible, while maintaining the lowest ammount of deaths possible.

I'm just one of the many sharks out there in the GTA online ocean, I've found something that keeps me from being eaten on a frequent basis.

Would you sit there and die a good 20 times trying to fight 9 different people? If you would, then have fun being devoured.

My combat IS sniping other players.

I only use pegasus vehicles when other players do. Unless it's a ground vehicle, because those can be sniped pretty easily...

(I never use passive mode to attack players, it's more of a safety net when moving from camp spot to camp spot.)

What branch, man? I was Army Infantry back in the day. I salute you, sir! Anyone in the military is a friend of me and mine. God Speed!

And I'm PS4. Rendering is phenomenal for a console. There is also more content including a new wood grain/engraved sniper rifle upgrade! She's a beauty!

And if you're going into the combat arms, sniper just MAY be your calling, sir! LMAO!

Therefore you do use passive mode to attack players. You move from camp to camp with passive so no one can take you out. How does this make you a good sniper? If anything, it makes you a scared shooter.
