As a side note, I go round car parks and steal cars LOOKING to get a bounty

Its all about the "Juice" and i'm init for the "Juice" to quote a line from Heat.

 

Used to do the stealings car technique to get a bounty.

 

Also, did you know...doing 5 gang attacks with same gang ie professionals, Lost in a single session will get the boss to put a bounty on you 100% of the time.

 

Thats how i get my bounties now a days for the "Juice" then see how much gta$ i can make and keep on hand. Then once surviving the said bounty goings to my safe house in Grapeseed and banking the lump sum of cash.

I've been playing the game for just over a year and a half and I've not once even bothered to go after a bounty. I don't enjoy freeroam mode in general though and spend most of my time in jobs of various kinds.

I only do it if it's part of my objectives, and they're nearby. I don't need to waste resources on them.

I try to claim every bounty nowadays and I completed the platinum award ages ago. I get in my Insurgent, chase them down, and when I have them where I want them, I throw a sticky bomb. I don't do it for the money and don't care if I lose money in the process, I do it for fun.

 

The bounties should be higher though, $1-9K is a joke.

I use bounties as bait. I refuse to chase them myself, but if I have one I will get kills from it. Atleast if the people chasing it are legit players not script kiddies. The fun has been ruined lately because you have the people god modding and teleporting to you as well as flying to your location on boats or motorcycles and other lame assed sh*t. If that doesn't get you then some trainer noob will use the kill everyone in session option. The game was a lot better before the f*cktards took over.

Most the time I would discover the bounty is damn near impossible to kill due to their lag, after experiencing this about 30 times I gave up, plus after doing hundreds of them it gets a little tiresome.

I ALWAYS HUNT BOUNTIES!! If I see it I'm taken it and I'm also killing anyone and everyone on my way to it. Also I couldn't care less if its cost ineffective I got millions FFS!

 

I must say I prefer having the bounty set on me though as I then don't even have to chase my prey around the map all day/night long.

 

I also rarely hide up on a rooftop or somewhere inaccessible to others ie; apartment/wall breach. I like to pick a good spot and defend it but fairly.

For fun, get 3-4 guys together, deliberately place a bounty on your friend, and have fun playing Bodyguard. Stay Secret Service close to your friend and see how long you can protect him using whatever assets necessary. Would be killer fun with like 6 guys, and you bounty mark 2 of your friends as bait. People seeing two bounty markers traveling together is like pulling moths to a flame.

If it is 1000 then no, nope worth the hassle of driving after them especially when I do kill them they could be an ass who leaves so you don;t get paid.

It really is funny though how people try using explosives on bounties that are 1000. I had one on me after jacking a car to get to my Hydra fast for the Smuggler. After landing by my Osiris after I banked the cash, I hid behind it for cover when another dot was coming...... he fired a RPG and BAM. 25 k loss for a 1 k gain? *smh*

I usually can't be bothered to hunt down other players, bounty or not. If they wronged me somehow or they annoy me in any way, I will.

Also, people seem to be less likely to chase back after you if you've killed them once while they had a bounty on them.

It's like people just accept it and don't think any more of it. I'm not much of a lone PvP'er. I like group action more. Har har double meanings. Yeah yeah.

Sometimes it's just a player that snagged a NPC's car and is doing a little shopping and minding their own business, not pew-pew'ing other players. Sure, that's a stupid thing to do in a public lobby, but I don't feel obligated to teach them that lesson.

 

If it's a player in a public lobby being a total griefing d-bag to other players that didn't attack first, then I may go after them, bounty or not.

 

I'm generally "live and let live" in freeroam. If someone doesn't agree with that, they get to die.

If you have a few friends who you play with all set bounties on each other and jump on a train together. When other people notice four or five people all with bounties bundled together all hell breaks lose and the whole map will try to take you and your friends on!

He's probably assuming a moving target. Sure, some people stop and get out to use the homing launcher, but there's a lot of clueless players out there.

I think a lot of players pay very little attention to the announcements in their session. They often just don't exhibit the behaviour of someone who is more careful after another player does something suspicious. I'm always (more or less) keeping an eye on other players. Where they are, what rank they are, what colour blip they have, if there's special vehicle icons and if so how far away they are from me, who seems to be fighting where and much more. Often I even spectate on the TV to see what they're like.

 

Half of my victims (give or take) never seem to see me coming, even when I make no effort to really hide myself.

Here's a fun game: Put on a rebreather, turn your char's hair long and bruise him up a little, dress like the Winter Soldier and go around hunting people with a stock M4 and a Heavy Pistol. You may only use a grenade launcher or grenades if you corner your enemy after flipping their car.

I very rarely hunt bounties. Whether or not the person is worthy of a strafing run is usually determined by two things:

 

1.) How bored I am

2.) What the person's GT is

 

If their name is friedjew666lol or lilswaggmeister420, they're dead.
