nice.. a lot quicker now without that nonsense, which will save a lot of time when constantly restarting the game while working on mods

A plugin I'm working on in my free time / when I'm bored. Purpose is to connect multiple PC's on LAN playing GTA V together. Ofcourse I'm not making it big or with super features, just something basic to start with. As for now only empty world with only player controlled peds and player controlled vehicles - no chat, no voice, no commands, etc, just very basic, problem is ScriptHook has no way of looping entities, programme has to manage a list of entities themselves, which sucks because it makes syncyng traffic much much harder. But that 'LanGame' plugin is the reason SkipIntro exists xD It would be nice if ScriptHookV could reload plugins on the fly.

 

Edit: should work on all versions now. Please test and return back results.

from the scripthook sdk readme:

 

 

3. Features	Runtime asi script reloading:	In order to use this feature you must create empty file called "ScriptHookV.dev"	in you game's main dir. While being ingame press CTRL + R, beep sound will tell	you that all loaded scripts are fully unloaded and you can replace your *.asi,	press CTRL + R again to load the scripts, triple beep will indicate that	everything is loaded. You must have the call to scriptUnregister() SDK func in	your plugin's DllMain in order reloading feature to work correctly,	see	NativeTrainer\main.cpp for more details.	Script reloading can be applied only to the *.asi plugins which were loaded	normally, i.e. using asi loader when the game was started. Script reloading is	performed by script hook and not by asi loader.

Hey, nice mod.

Just wondering, does this mod edit the whole rockstar_logos.bik where it also removes the TV/Cinema videos?

If it does, I know it speeds up the launch but I'd prefer to keep those videos.

It only disables the rockstar logos and legal messages, does not edit any game files or anything other.

Total n00b here but how exactly do you use this file?

You'll need an ASI loader, or DLL Injector (then at startup of GTA V inject SkipIntro.asi into GTA V). Use ScriptHookV or sourceforge.net/p/autodllinjector/

 

ScriptHookV has to be updated now, so use a DLL Injector in newer versions which ScriptHookV doesn't support. It's closed source so sorry, I can't update it for you.

 

We'll probably need to develop our own open source version, relying on one person to do all updates and be dependent on that person is something you don't really want I think.

So the DLL injector is useless as I don't have a DLL but your ASI file. So this can't be done w/out what tool exactly? Any chance of a tutorial vid for this too?

Rename .ASI to .DLL

Could you release it on 5Mods? It has a pretty nice interface and cool features like following updates and such.

Holy crap, are you planning to release this? I've been looking forward to LAN functionality on GTA V since its release.

Not really, but I think if there's enough demand I can. But there are a few problems, first of all, ScriptHookV does not provide a way to loop all entities and my post for help in the ScriptHookV thread has just been burried in all the yells for an update, so no help for me I guess, which as result makes it look not that good for making my idea into a plugin.

 

The networking, connecting etc parts are already done though.

 

Edit: If you are experiencing a startup crash because of the newest patch, redownload, a fix has been released by me.

Hello grasmanek, your plugin is working fine when i start the game. I just replayed a mission and when the game restarts, the whole loading is back. I don't know if it's possible to bypass it too.

So i copied the asi and both the dlls from ScripHookV into the main directory. What else do I have to do because it still doesn't skip anything?

Can you post the contents of ScriptHookV.log and asiloader.log? Both files should be located where GTA5.exe is.

I've been hoping for something like this since the game came out.


Will this be updated? Doesn't work with the latest patch.

Works fine for me so it might be something on your end...

 

Look a few post up they posted a few links of asi. that is working
