franklinrocksdude
is it possible to record like in gta iv in this game? because there are many cool things that happened in my game that i hadn't predicted beforehand. that's why i like gta iv's recording system - it allows you to capture epic moments that happened in your game without you planning them. how can you record like that in gta v? or can you only record events that happened after you had started recording (no replays i mean)? LotionYogurt
I haven't really used it, but isn't action replay essentially that?

GamesBoy316
If you're on PS4 or Xbox One, they're gonna be adding the Rockstar Editor pretty soon. But if you're on PC, there's already a button to do so.
franklinrocksdude
i'm on pc. btw i think i've discovered how to do it. you have to turn the action replay on and then record. will try it out in my game tomorrow. i already knew about action replay, but i was confused, because i thought turning the action replay on means that the game already records. takoulino
Im sorry to interrupt but I was searching about something relevant. In fact, I m aware of F2. But what I wanted was to somehow get GTA V by default to be action-replay capable, thus to make it more GTA IV like, for the reasons stated above. Also, how can I save a clip when I get wasted? GTA IV used to display a message (Press f2 to save clip). In GTA V, not only there isn't any message, but Im unable to save it, even when action clip is on. Any suggestions? Dope_0110
I don't think V has the option to watch the last 30 seconds or so like previous GTAs did. At least I didn't look for it so maybe it is there somewhere but from what is known you can only record if you tell the game to start recording. As for death.. I guess you should press Stop recording just before you respawn, which should save the clip.

I don't know about the consoles, but on PC you just have to press F2 to enable action replay and after something cool had happened, just press F1 and it will save the latest moments from your gameplay session (more than 2 minutes on mine).
