Headlights Make It Harder To See?

The contrast of bright headlights against the night environment makes everything outside the headlights more difficult to see.

Since the moonlight is fairly bright, I prefer driving without headlights.

Is it just me?

Yes. People use headlights to illuminate the road INFRONT of them. Not to the side.

Yeah, so sometimes when you are driving on a road that isn't perfectly straight, and there are other cars, you are better off seeing everything equally semi-lit than essentially darkening everything not directly infront of you.

I always have the lights off, though i do have the brightness settings slightly too high. The only advantage the lights give is avoiding black cars, however i have more issues with cars that pop in than i do dark colours.

I don't know. It's quite dangerous to drive at night without headlights.

By turning off headlights, you're basically sacrificing frontal visibility for a boost in overall visibility, which is quite beneficial sometimes given how this game is played in 3rd person in most cases.

Of course, there's always the little thing where nights in most video games aren't as dark as they're supposed to be.

Sometimes it helps to turn them off, yes.

I don't think it matters. It's fun having them off though when you're in the desert or something and there's nobody else around.

I always keep my headlights turned on. Even during the day.

I also turn them off for the extra visability / reduced contrast, but headlights rarely last long on the vehicles I drive anyway :D

Is this The Guy?

Don't matter. I usually drive into something and lose both headlights anyway

I always have my headlights on full beam when both work (at night)

If 1 is not working i turn it off
