Is the Dubsta 6x6 worth it?

After nearly a year of having this character, I finally reached Rank 100. So, I was wondering, is buying the 6x6 worth it? How is it as a free-roam vehicle? Should I just skip it? Any feedback is welcome.

I bought the Dubsta the moment I was rank 100. It isn't the best free roam and race material, due to its slow speed but its cool looks and heaps of seating if you want to cruise around with friends help make up for it. There is of course, much cheaper and better options but I still enjoy cruising around in my Dubsta 6x6.

It's a fast vehicle but a bit hard to take turns. Got one myself and like ut. Not using it that much. Mostly on setups but that's it. You can take 6 people with you and it's a good offroad vehicle.

It's fun if you like taking a vehicle up to the mountains and climbing rocks... Or out to the swamps for some water stomping. Other than that it's not going to be a super fast crew hauler. I have one and love the articulation on the rear axles, but I like the sand king's handling better.

if you want it for mostly it's looks, then go for it

if you want it for it's other aspects, then you're better off getting an insurgent. whatever the 6x6 does, the Insurgent seems to do a lot better.

Looks mean and tough, is actually kinda boring and useless. My Sandking XL is still the better option.

If you want a "useful" vehicle in the same vibe of the Insurgent, Kuruma or even the Zentorno, you're looking in the wrong direction.

However, if you want a car that is "fun" to drive, hell yes, get one ASAP, you are unlikely to regret it.

At the moment, the Dubsta 6x6's main strength lies in its suspensions, which are the best in the game bar none. The post-IGG Insurgent may be better at basically any task, but the 6x6 is a lot more fun and comfortable to drive.

i love my dubsta worth every penny! one of the most fun cars to drive IMO.

as others have said tho statistic wise there's much better in its class, and more useful vehicles like the kuruma or insurgent. That being said if you already own either or both and you're looking for a car that you wont get bored in i advise u to buy the 6x6 especially if u like offroading..

It looks really cool. It can take 6 people really fast anywhere. The only problem is handling, above all when it hits a bump or a jump, it kind of handles like a tank when you take a jump, you know, the front and end go up and down a couple times before getting stable again.

I enjoyed it a lot tho, but eventually I sold it because I didn't use it anymore and I needed the money.

If you want a vehicle that can hold 6 people, you should probably get the Guardian instead as it handles really well and is about as fast.

You could also get the Insurgent, although the 2 last people hang on the sides which is worse than sitting on the back.

The Dubsta 6x6 is also one of my favorite cars and i drive it around often. Its really good looking, surprisingly fast and pretty agile. For the 250k price tag its a steal.

6WD, lots of customization, slightly faster than an Insurgent, knocks back cop cars (not as much as Insurgent though) fun to ford water, less stable than a Sandking. My truck of choice.

I sold mine once I got the Insurgent. The Insurgent is better in every way, plus it can survive a few explosions

The Insurgent is better at pushing things, surviving explosions, blowing up cars if done right....

...... But its sh*t at off roading. Good luck hurling your Insurgent out to freedom if it got stuck somewhere - Dubsta6x6 is 6WD, it can set itself free thanks to its six wheels.

And its the KING at off roading, matched only by the SandQueen, unlike the Insurgent. :^:

It's a f'ckin monster. Just yesterday I smashed mine into an Insurgent so hard it flew off a bridge. Bet he was a bit surprised.

That description sounds awfully like the pre-patch Insurgent.

After the IGG update, the Insurgent is now AWD, which gives it monstrous climbing power when coupled with its already absurdly-powerful engine and good traction.

I never checked the engine power difference between the 6x6 and the Insurgent, but the difference in traction is a decisive factor that makes the current Insurgent a generally better off-roader.

It's down to personal preference... that said, I'll offer mine. I've bought the 6x6 twice, and I've sold it twice. To me it's not that useful as an assault vehicle. It's not that useful for racing. It is a fun freeroam vehicle, but it's not the best. I can climb harder stuff and run through deeper channels of water in my Sandking. The 6x6 is actually easier to get stuck in a spot on a hill climb as well because of its size, and it really doesn't have enough torque to get you out of trouble when you lose traction on a steep incline. I really want to like it better than the Sandking for general off-roading, but for my experience it's just not as good as the Sandking. Which is why I still own a Sandking after selling the 6x6 twice.

So, (again personal preference) to me it's not worth it.

I like my 6x6 because of how it floats over bumps and for it's....unique handling. It is a powersliding beast.

Try one out in single player. If you loke it, get one online.

It's mind-boggling to imagine the Sandking being better than the 6x6 at ANYTHING other than crossing bodies of water.

The Sandking just lacks power like the rest of the menacing-looking off-roaders that do not have the names "Insurgent" or "Dubsta 6x6". It takes ages to climb the easiest slopes, and every bump is a massive risk to turn the Sandking into a Sandwreck. (The 6x6 is much more deformation-resistant and less likely to actually take damage thanks to the suspensions, while the Insurgent refuses to deform after rolling down Mt. Chiliad)

I have an Insurgent, a Dubsta 6x6, a Sandking, an MW Mesa and used to have a Guardian. Let's just say everything but the first two are considered road vehicles by me.

By you. I like to climb chiliad the hard way coming up from the Paleto Bay side. It's easy in the Sandking. I don't find the same is true in the 6x6. Whatever it is that you do, you're doing it differently then I am. I can only speak to my experience. I think the six wheel drive not only fails to make a difference but it actually looses power and slips backwards more easily than the Sandking. I've got nothing against the vehicle, I just haven't found a use for it.

This is my ideal choice of car porn, really good looking and has nice curves, and bonus points for choosing the right colors and mods.

As for the driving and handling, surprisingly fast acceleration but top speed is fairly average (100 mph according to speedometer, coincidence?) It is kinda difficult to get around curves and corners due to its large size and tires but you will get used to it. As for the off-roading part, it is really bouncy on bumps because of the suspension and can easily scale large hills. It also can take a hell of a beating.

Although not public free-roam material, it is a really fun truck to drive. Especially if you have friends riding together.

Is it armoured at all or would one rocket blow it up?

The only PV that can eat multiple rockets is the Insurgent so no.

Thanks for all the feedback. I did get it, and it's awesome. It might not be as good as the insurgent as a battering ram, but it's still damn good.

TO be fair, I did own it for a long time, and only sold it once the insurgent came out.
