Progeekzy
Who the heck came up with the drinking after effects? I dont know about you guys, but i can count how many times ive actually gotten drunk IRL and it looked like that. Zero. Does drinking somehow teleport you to Atlantis, the sunken city? Can you guys really not put in a mechanic that fits drinking?

A slight blurring and/or wavering vision would have been more realistic.

Make controlling a car harder, make it serve. SOmething they already have done. FINISHED! thats all that needs to happen and it woudent be annoying under water crap. The Dedito Gae
The characters should also sh*t themselves next time, that would be realistic. OurJud, Payne Killer, Mintal and 4 others
Cutter De Blanc
I liked how it was in Red Dead Redemption, he'd wobble then fall down and just lie there with a goofy look on his face until it wore off CarlitoDorito and Shadowfennekin
saintsrow
The characters should also sh*t themselves next time, that would be realistic. And the character laying in his own puke would help the realism. The Dedito Gae
jordio
I think the protagonists are ridiculously lightweight drinkers
cryptorelic
You can't beat GTA IV's drunken system. Everytime i tried to just go somewhere i had to laugh my ass off. Even better: At the last mission of IV, at the part where you need to climb down the ladder, simply let yourself fall off, and you will land on the floor exactly where Pegarino wants to escape. He is going to fall over you and scream "The f*ck, Son" lol. Edited July 4, 2015 by DoubledRelic696

hugh750
it's not very realistic on how quickly you sobber up and have no hangover?
Eram
With all these fresh ideas, I'm sure we can soon expect new Numay's "The alcohol is not alcoholic enough" (or the bong won't "bong" enough) kinda thread Payne Killer

thafablifee46
Idk I havent really been drunk in V but if its anything like IV I'd say its pretty realistic. I remember there was 2 occasions I got sh*tfaced and it was exactly like IV. sh*t was spinning , I could barely walk lol but I passed out after a while
Homicidal Hipster
It's not exactly like IV. You don't trip over every 2 seconds, and the screen isn't as blurry.
thafablifee46
I guess it differs for people because I was really drunk. And To say you trip over every 2 seconds in iv is a an overexaggeration because when I play that game I dont fall as much lol so I guess it comes down to just being careful. Just as you should in real life. But bottom line is I had one of those moments where my vision was just as blurry as it is in
thafablifee46
That day I drank a 1/3 of a bottle of grey goose, straight to the head so I guess thats why. I swear my vision was exacly as it is in iv , all blurry and moving. I remember being outside and blacking out multiple times until I eventually passed out

matajuegos01
Atleast it's not like IV, where'd you fall over every few seconds and attempts to get into a car are frustratingly hilarious. Vertighost
What I find weird and think is a glitch is just before the visual effect wears off it goes into super speed mode for a few seconds for some reason.
NikoBellicGTAIV
You know, I've never been exactly drunk, so can I ask something to everyone who has, out of curiosity? I know that you are dizzy and everything's moving around but... ...does your vision really go blurry? And if it does, is it like a depth of field effect or more like motion blur? Algonquin Assassin
Atleast it's not like IV, where'd you fall over every few seconds and attempts to get into a car are frustratingly hilarious. That's what makes it better though. GTA IV's drunk effect is more realistic and lasts longer. One of my favourite things to do is get sh*t faced and get into a cop chase trying to escape them. You can't do that in GTA V as they sober up too quick. And yeah it looks like swimming under water. Speaking from experience GTA IV is closer to actually being drunk. The way it makes your head spin and the general blurinesss. It's dumbed down considerably in GTA V. Vertighost
Would be cool if some of the NPC's hangin' out around bars/clubs where visibly drunken.
