I don't know if this is the right place to ask this but does Cloudfare check everyone's browser before they get re-directed to GTAForums? It has been doing that with me today and it didn't use to.

 

I'm assuming my phone's browser is unusual to Cloudfare, even though I've been logging into my account with my phone for over a year now. So it lets me know it has to check mine before it lets me through. It takes about 5 to 10 seconds for it to re-direct me here.

I just noticed this topic was here, I've been enjoying reading all the posts and have learned a bunch of new stuff I didn't know. I have a question I wanted to ask but wasn't sure where to post it. When I try to reply to someone's post directly it never works for me, it just makes a new post and doesn't have the other person's post in my response. I first click "quote" on the post I want to reply to, then write my response, and then click post. Am I doing something wrong?

If you're using Internet Explorer then that'll cause a few problems like that due to IE being a pretty bad browser, if so it's recommended to use Chrome, Firefox and I think Edge is alright.

 

Normally when you click the quote button you'll see a quote of the person's post in the reply box, and your text goes underneath it.

Seems like a lot of work... doesn't the 502 Error give enough evidence that there is a problem? Hit reload until it loads, then boom... problem solved.

One can make a thread in Forum Support to request the older account's name be changed so that the name can be reused, though changing one's name is only available a year after account creation or last name change.

Is it possible to MultiQuote a Post from a Locked Topic?

 

Or at the least Copy the Text, and keep the Timestamp 'Swoosh Arrow' intact?

No, you cannot quote text from a locked topic.

 

You can however take a screenshot of the post, crop the image, host it and then post it as an image: it won't look like a normal quote with the time stamp, but it does allow you to repost the original post.
