I think it'd make it more confusing to have the memberlist full of even more colour, plus we'd require more staff groups for each ledby. Whilst all of our ledbys are very helpful whereever they post, they still only have power within the subforums they lead, so it makes the most sense to just highlight those who are global staff.

Oy, and the inevitable ensuing civil right issues, Jim Peacock laws... V Series Thread sit-ins, the lynchings in Online. I don't blame you for wanting to keep that out.

What's the difference between them?

 

There are official gangs, like Zaibatsu, which have access to the super secret much wow subforum and they have their own backroom. Certified gangs, like Facade, have access to The Safehouse, and don't have a backroom.

I see, I thought they were the same thing. Is this "super secret subforum" hidden from regular members? I can only see the safehouse.

Only members of the official gangs can see it. Here is the list of all official, unofficial and certified gangs.

I think you guys have it a little mixed up. Certified gangs are Official gangs, there is no difference between how "official" they are. The only difference is that the veteran official gangs (the OGA) have access to extra private subforums because they have been around since the beginning of the gang scene and deserve to keep them, whereas going forward the new official gangs (Certified) just have a collective subforum to share. It's an unanswerable question at the moment.

 

We're aiming to port all or individual game websites to one single domain over the next year, it's just a very big and time-consuming job. I'm sure that when the process begins, fixing the IV Streetview will be one of the top priorities.

Yeah it can get confusing, they aren't quite the same but they kinda are. The only way I can think to explain it is just thinking of it as eras of the gang scene rather than the terminology or naming. The old veterans are the OGA, the up and coming are the Certified, but they are both recognised as official groups of GTAForums.

It's actually "worst tits" and Xyn raised it as an award idea last year, I nominated myself for it, then Sweets wanted a shot at the vote and here we are... second annual Worst Tits award.
