PhoGarrett
Jurassic World. The whole film could've been a self-contained cartoon episode on CN with little to no changes in plot.
Aerovitia
The Departed, especially after watching Infernal Affairs and other Scorsese movies. Dunno why, the duration are too long and feels too detailed to me. The ending and love triangle element are also feels too forced. Abel.

Mister Pink
Deathproof was probably the worst film, I've seen from an acclaimed writer/director in the last 10 years. Even Tarantino acknowledges it's his worst. I'm baffled why people on a GTA forum a demographic on the other side of the galaxy from Frozen target audience are saying it's overrated, lol. Films like Nightcrawler, Terminator and The Shining aren't really overrated. They've been dissected and studied by film critics, historians, film experts, film students and other filmmakers and the general consensus is that they are great. Mr. Scratch
The amount of Tarantino ass kissing is way too high either way. The Hateful Eight better be f*cking good, Ennio Morricone came out of retirement just to score his film. Mister Pink and gunziness

Hence why people find things overrated. When all these movie critics and experts say something is amazing and you think it's mediocre, you find it overrated. For me, Nightcrawler had an amazing lead, but it falls apart when it comes to its supporting characters and plot execution. The forced "romance" and satire don't help either. Gyllenhaal is complete gold, though and the movie very entertaining. I did enjoy it, but I simply don't think it's as good as most people say. Mr. Scratch
Jackie Brown and True Romance are my favorites, even though the first is based on Elmore Leonard's novel and True Crime was directed by Tony Scott but based on Tarantino's screenplay. Either way I'd like to see more movies like those from him, his most recent just feel childish in a way. Mister Pink
X S
Anything by Wes Anderson is absurdly overrated. I liked Bottle Rocket. It was the one movie that had real soul in it. Everything after was over-stylized nonsense. For the longest time, I used to get Wes Anderson mixed up with P.T. Anderson. Thank god I realized they were two different directors, because as far as I'm concerned, every P.T. Anderson film is god damn genius. The Hateful Eight better be f*cking good, Ennio Morricone came out of retirement just to score his film. Oh neat I didn't actually know that Morricone was scoring the film. Makes me more excited. Either way I'd like to see more movies like those from him, his most recent just feel childish in a way. Jackie Brown is probably Tarantino's least Tarantinoish film actually. I like all of his films though I didn't like the Kill Bill movies as much as I thought I would so I guess that's another one I find overrated. Deathproof was probably the worst film, I've seen from an acclaimed writer/director in the last 10 years. Even Tarantino acknowledges it's his worst. I probably should have just named this thread: "Popular movies that you don't like" or something along those lines. It's all opinion-based in the end and saying something is overrated actually sounds a bit like saying that others shouldn't like the movie, because you don't like it. Also I thought Death Proof was alright, but I watched it a long while ago so I don't know how I'd feel about it now. Mister Pink

That's the whole point, it's what his films could be like if he'd stop f*cking around with sh*tty revenge stories. And Tarantinoish, seriously? I very much liked Jackie Brown. Just kinda wanted to emphasize how it differs from Tarantino's usual style. That whole romance especially felt out of place for a Tarantino film. Wouldn't mind him making more films like it. The Terminator I thought you were an 80's fan.
