When a developer from another country makes a game like GTA... but until then, it's what it is. I don't care for most of the sh*t from the Indepence Update, patriotism goes hand in hand with utter ignorance.

 

 

Oh, please. Rockstar's "Independence Day DLC" is a backhanded compliment and perfectly consistent with Grand Theft Auto's parody of America's superficial lifestyle. Their descriptions are cleverly written to not be overly harsh towards the hand that feeds them and you're a fool if you think they have gone "full Yank" with this update.

I'll buy the bike then sell it so it is unlocked in case I want to buy it later.

It disappears from the internet once the event is over. Once you have it, don't sell it or you'll lose it for good. (Which many have done).

Please explain how I still have the T-shirts from last year.

He's just lamenting that the ability to buy them goes away. Whatever you bought, you keep. For clothing and masks you still see them in stores, but people that didn't buy them can't see them in the menus when this goes away.explain why I lost my mullet and face paint last year when I bought it? I had to rebuy it again today.Crappy random glitch (aka standard Rockstar issue). My male had the mullet well into October until I changed it. Some players lost ID items at random (many lost Muskets, some lost the Patriot tire smoke, etc.). Things that happened to you didn't happen to everyone. The only bought item I involuntarily lost from last year were my stockpile of ground fireworks.

I still had the firework launcher (both characters), Musket (both characters), all the ID clothes and Special hats/shirt (both characters), Liberator (one character), Patriot tire smoke (on 5 vehicles across both characters).

I understand how the game works. I know what I am doing.

 

Once you purchase the Liberator or the bike they are unlocked to buy forever. Bought the bike a few times on my previous character.

I didn't know about the bike being available for repurchase because I didn't buy one last year.

I did buy the Liberator with one of my characters and it showed it on the Warstock site until they redesigned all the webpages in a recent update. I didn't try to buy it again since I already owned it and it's a Pegasus vehicle. Buying it as one character doesn't allow it to be bought by the other as the Liberator was gone from the other character's view on the Warstock site.

 

I bought Roosevelts for each character and for a long time afterward they were still shown on the websites, but listed as "out of stock" and I couldn't buy another one.

I noticed that, too, but I'd rather being doing fun stuff with my family on the Fourth instead of playing GTA to get any one-day-only items. I think Rockstar got some flak for that when snow was a December 25th-only think in 2013.

Last year the ID event was for the whole month of July and today we get it for 6 days, a day off, and another DLC and event weekend.

Just seen the strangest thing, I was in an LTS lobby and 2 guys were speaking in French, one was wearing a USA suit, usa face paint, usa glasses with a usa hat. Didn't realise the French and Americans were such good friends. Bit dissappointed they didn't put the female designs on proper t-shirts.

No you can't. Anything you don't buy will disappear.

Though if you bought The Liberator and lost it somehow, you can still purchase it again even after the event ends. The same goes with the bike.

Just seen the strangest thing, I was in an LTS lobby and 2 guys were speaking in French, one was wearing a USA suit, usa face paint, usa glasses with a usa hat. Didn't realise the French and Americans were such good friends. Bit dissappointed they didn't put the female designs on proper t-shirts.

Well, France was one of the reasons the revolution succeeded. Not sure if that had anything to do with what those two were up to. Maybe they thought they were wearing them ironically or just because those items are new to them.

 

I hate the look of the off-shoulder tops from the back. They look like the female character is all sweaty and the shirt is sticking to her back in a weird way.
