Tenacious_Dude Posted January 16, 2003 Share Posted January 16, 2003 well, i did it. i finished the mailibu jobs and i did cap the collector and got ready for what i thought was gunna be a reeeally hard mission. I bought tons of guns, did pizza boy and vigilante and in the end it ended up i hardly lost ne health, hardly used ne guns and found it really easy. death row was harder. christ, demolition man is harder. but since i finished keep ur friends close i decided to try out the hunter. it seemed pretty cool, with its ockets an' all. and since every1 sed that thebrown thunder vigilante mission for the hunter was easy, i decided to try it. its the hardest thing in the whole friggen game. the rockets never get the guy, neithert does the gun. and the helicopter always explodes in 3 seconds. how can u ppl find this easy? post thoughts/help Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Apocalypse89 Posted January 16, 2003 Share Posted January 16, 2003 I just spray'em with rockets and they die in 2 seconds. your problem seems to be altitude. It's a frickin helicopter, get some air! NinjaCat Posted January 16, 2003 Share Posted January 16, 2003 Just practice and you'll get better at aiming the Hunter's rockets. If you're really stuck with aiming, switch to First Person Mode in the Hunter and just shoot when the target's in the middle of your screen. It's easier to figure out where you're aiming when you can track your rocket through the air. Oh, and remember that the rockets track along the ground for a bit when they get low. I just use the minigun which makes it much easier because it has auto-aim. The minigun just about packs a punch as good as the rockets anyway. Sometimes, if the target is driving on an open area, like the airport, I'll have some fun and blast them with rockets. But minigun rules with that auto-aim option! That's right everything. I use the rockets, guns and the blades (when I can). Being a great shot with the rockets is really not that hard at all. It's just a matter of practise. Just master the handling of the Hunter and you're set to wreck sh*t with the rockets. I only... ONLY use the minigun when my rockets fail to hit their target. Eat me TLC, I know you can get to 200 level Vigilante with only the police car, but I don't care... I am the bomb regardless... NinjaCat Out. WidowMaker Posted January 17, 2003 Share Posted January 17, 2003 It just fires at cars/people who are in the general forward direction of the hunter, its a very skilless weapon and yet people still complain... missles are good but you need to lead your target and take into account the hunter movement so some people are crap with them, all it takes it practice. Schweinhund Posted January 17, 2003 Share Posted January 17, 2003 If you're having trouble hitting anything at all, I suggest some target practice before you begin the missions, also practice flying the chopper itself, it is MUCH harder to control than the others, but oh so rewarding when you get it right. My favourite move at the moment has got to be the way I've found to "fake out" the cop helicopters: making sure you've got enough height, quickly check to see where the other guy is in relation to you and his speed. If he's behind you, good. Now push in L3 to stop and bank hard left or right, as if to turn. A second later, push the rudder in the opposite direction to what you banked. If done correctly, Mr. Piggy will surge right past you, so he can be fed plenty of Hellfires. Yum Yum. Think that was worthy of a topic itself.. AlianAnt Posted January 17, 2003 Share Posted January 17, 2003 I have 5 billion (yes billion) dollers because of Brown Thunder. Its very easy, for me. The first couple times I tryed I got to about mshion 20 befor I blew myself up. Now its very easy for me. EVry time I do it I get to msihion 230 befor I QUIT not die. The way I aim with the rockets is at the tip of the rockes is used as a chorsair for me. When the car is in front of the tip, I rain hell down with 3 shots. Jaxen Posted January 17, 2003 Share Posted January 17, 2003 I like the hunter, it's fun. The rockets are easy if you have the flight experience. IF you live off a diet of solely FPS ior RPG you can't have any. I use FPS RPG Strat Sim and the works. Tribes 2 and OpFlash prolly account for why i can hit things with the missiles. FPS with Vehicles. Missiles are good and minigun is good. It's all good, i just like mushrooming anything in my way with 'splosives! BLAPP!
