Hype Posted January 16, 2003 Share Posted January 16, 2003 a friend of mine claims that one of the big differences between GTA3 and GTA4 was that in GTA3 your money went up everytime you hit another car, killed someone, ran someone over etc... - where as in GTA4 it doesn't. i no longer have GTA3 so i can not look for myself, but i certainly don't remember it happening. someone tell me i'm right please. 68K Posted January 16, 2003 Share Posted January 16, 2003 It's the fourth GTA game (excluding GTA:London), but if I'm correct, will be bringing out a game entitled GTA4, so you can't really say Vice City is GTA4. I think they probably change the 'number' of the game when it's sufficiently different from the previous one. i.e. GTA3 was 3D when GTA2 was not. JagerMan Posted January 17, 2003 Share Posted January 17, 2003 Vice City is not GTA 4. It's part of GTA 3. And San Andreas will also be part of GTA 3. Liberty City was the first Island, then Vice City, and then San Andreas. All three cities is part of GTA 3. All 3 cities were part of GTA 1, and now they are doing it again, just in 3 different games.And they already said that they would make a new GTA (hopefully San Andreas) before they stop useing the GTA 3 format, which means GTA 4 will have a different format and a different look to the whole game entirely.
