Rosenberg The Lawyer (L)

 

The Party

The lawyer is really nervous. You try to calm him down. He tells you that Juan Garcia Cortez set up the drug deal. Juan is having a party on his yacht. You have to go to Rafael's to get dressed - it's a Miami Vice suit!! A motorcycle shows up - "nice bike" you say. Steal it and ride to the yacht at Pier 2. "Promises Promises"  You meet Mercedes, the daughter. It seems that everyone around here loves talking about male sexual organs. Hmmm. Anyway, meet the players. Mercedes wants to leave. Take her to Pole Position (i.e. get in a car and she'll get in too). Drive to the pink spot, in she goes. "See you around handsome" $100 mission payoff. Note that now the ammunition place is on the map. You can buy guns:

Back Alley Brawl

OK, back at the lawyer's. Now he says Kent Paul at the Malibu might have more info on the stolen money. Note that as you head there you pass a tool shop with:

Screwdriver $10

No bats or machetes yet In the background is "Fascination". Ah, the music! Kent says that you need to track down Chef in Ocean Drive. Find him, and when you beat him up you get his cell phone. Now you can get calls. A black man shows up to help out, gives you a gun. Go with him to the ammo shop, and then back at the hotel. He says he's going to "see about things". Mission payoff: $200 Right after this, you get a call of "Leo" who is a buyer for "Diaz's Merchandise". He won't tell you any more.

 

Jury Fury

Your lawyer pal is getting distracted. The Italians want him to make a jury change its mind about a case, and you have to help. You want to intimidate, but NOT kill. As you leave, a guy gets nailed with a car and drops a hammer. How convenient! Grab it and head out. Head to the first one of the 2 dots. This is just a car-destroy. Run up to the car and smash it with a hammer tons of times until it's in pieces. The juror comes and then runs off. OK the second one. He's talking to a girl. If you hit him he'll try to drive off but luckily a car will trap him in. Smash the car a ton of times with the hammer until he runs away. Payoff: $400 Sonny calls around now and pressures you to find the cash that was lost.

 

Riot

The lawyer now introduces you to Avery - the cowboy you met on the Yacht. He says that he's having trouble with a land purchase, and wants you to go stir up the crowd there. You have to get new clothes first to fit in. Neato, now you're wearing a overalls with hat. Head on to the pink area. First, start fighting with 4 guys. The cops say "let's crack some commie skulls". Ah, enlightenment. OK, now you have to blow up the trucks. It's easiest if you have a car waiting nearby, run it in to the trucks and then shoot the barrels to blow them up. Tip from bamargera:

On the Riot task for the lawyer, it is easiest if you shoot the barrel next to the two trucks. That will blow up two trucks. Then, just get the heck out of there. Jump in the third truck, and take off. Once you're out of the mess, crash the truck into walls and other immobile targets to get it flaming. Then jump out and run! Payoff: $1000 Note at this point you already can talk to Avery, and now Cortez calls you to say he wants to talk to you too. So now you have A and C on your map.

 

The Phone (phone symbol)

 

Road Kill

Ah, your first cell phone mission. You can only get this once you finish the third lawyer mission with the chef and get the cell phone. This is a case of mistaken identity. When you get the call and go to the phone, you are called "Mr. Teal" and are told you did a good job eradicating the out of towners. They have more work for you, the instructions are taped under the phone. Carl Perzon is a pizza delivery guy. You have to kill him before he makes 50 deliveries. I.e. it's sort of a timed mission. Grab a fast car and chase the yellow dot, running it over tons. When you've run him over enough, you'll finish the mission. Payoff: $500

 

Waste the Wife

Ah, Mr. Teal, you've got his compliments. Another mission is taped under the phone. Mrs Dawson is leaving a jewelry shop in Vice Point. Kill her, must look like a car accident. Get a fast, sturdy car. You have to ram her REPEATEDLY and she keeps running off. Chase her down and bash her with your car. Payoff: $2000

 

Autocide

For me this came after the 'fastest boat' mission. This works REALLY well with a rocket launcher. Make sure you have one! A European gang wants to hit a bank. Phone-Guy wants to stop it. You have to find the members in 9 min. First grab guns (including rifle) as needed, hop on the convenient PCJ motorcycle and go to first spot. Mike Griffin. He's up on the billboard sign! Fire up at him. Rifle is quick. Now Dick Tanner, DPB Security. In an armored car. Chase him down. Note if he gets out he'll hop in another car so destroy the car! If on motorcycle, use machine gun to shoot. After short while, car smokes and he runs out. Shoot him. If you have a rocket launcher this one's easy. Next Marcus Hammond and Franco Carter. They're at a Jewelry shop. One is standing and one in a pick-up truck. Run over the standing one (switch to a car) then destroy the pick-up truck by bashing it. Another easy one with the rocket launcher. On to #5. Nick Kong is cruising (in a boat! off Washington Beach. Shoot him from near the bridge (short stone one). Yup, rocket launcher is good here, tho a rifle works with one shot too. Finally, Charlie Dilson is riding in Washington - 4 min left. Payoff: $4,000 Now you get a call that the next phone mission is at the airport terminal.

 

Check Out at the Check In

Be sure to FLY to this one in your helicopter! You have one on the roof of your mansion, and also one on the roof of the Hyman Condos. Phone - through security gate. They take your weapons. Hello, Mr. Teal. Rifle in foliage to right. Kill person, retrieve case and take it to location at AmmuNation. There's a Distance bar in upper right corner of screen. Don't let it get full. Sneak up on them. She goes near 2 guys, just shoot them both if you can't tell which one to shoot Grab the briefcase. Helicopter makes it EASY to get back without being crashed into by trillions of enemy cars. Payoff: $8000

 

Loose Ends

This phone booth is in Little Havanah. I got this one after The Shootist at the Malibu Club. There's a valuable exchange on the roof of the ice cream company. Kill everyone involved, steal merchandise and take to airport. Gate on left gets you in There's a M4 on right inside gate. Shoot car out. Take out the guy on stairs, one on right in boxes, one up on stairs area. There's a ton of guys so go slowly. Work your way in slowly using zoom-in sniper rifle (press square to zoom in). There's body armor over to far side. Stairs right in front when you come in don't connect to the roof. You have to go in and along right way up low concrete stairs to little metal stairs and around to left. There's health up on roof in this corner. There's another health further on by ice cream cones. When you see the briefcase, go up on ramps by briefcase to shoot guys on other end. There are guys hiding under the ramps. Go back to health if necessary. Grab briefcase. Hop in Maverick helicopter and take off - fly to helipad. Note if you're hurting that you can fly over to big ship first and grab health (under gangway) and body armor (across street in doorway) Payoff: $16,000 and hidden package up here.

 

Avery the Cowboy (A)

 

Four Iron

There's a guy down at golf course. You have to beat him up, and you're given a membership card. You need to dress properly though. Head over to Jocksports clothing. You're dressed in checkered golf pants!! OK, try not to look in any mirrors. Walk on over to the golf course. When you head in they'll remove your guns. If you're wise, you've already done the Carlos mission and have the chainsaw because it makes this MUCH easier. Get in the golf cart and ride on over. See the golf cart on its on on the left? Drive it underneath the structure and block it in with your own. This is the cart the guy will run for and if it's trapped this is even easier. OK, now head up the stairs. He sets his bodyguards on you. Chainsaw them all down, then chainsaw the guy. Pretty easy! Payoff: $500

 

Demolition Man

This can be very frustrating if you're not patient. Practice a few times with the helicopters to learn how they work. Your aim is to bring four bombs to four different spots in a building - one per level. You have to fly the helicopter up the stairs to get to each level. Turn with R2/L2 and NOT the stick. Use the stick for forward motion, and tap X to get the height you want. Remember where the bombs are - they're not marked on the map!! You have 7 minutes - plenty of time. Just go slow and steady, don't try to rush. Start at the bottom and work your way up, doing tight corners up the stairs with the R2/L2. You'll have a full 2:45 for the last bomb so take it slow and you'll do fine. Payoff: $1000

 

Two Bit Hit

You meet Donald Love, who is much picked on. Your job is to pretend there's a gang war. A Haitian gang lord just died, and you want to make it look like the Cubans did it. You're to dress up as cuban and go to Haitian funeral to mix things up. First, head into Little Havana to get a Cuban outfit. Neato! Now drive a good vehicle (sturdy) into the marked area and drive over all the gang guys. So far so good. Now chase the hearse and bang it a ton, coffins will fall out of it. Very strange. When you finally get it, the driver might jump out so chase him down too. Payoff: $2000

 

Cortez ©

 

Treacherous Swine

This is your first Cortez mission. Go talk to him at his yacht. He's figuring out what went wrong with the drug bust. He found the loose lipped guy and wants you to make a point by killing him with a chainsaw. Note that this comes in VERY handy for any other close combat you may need to do in other missions. OK, pretty much just drive to the spot and chainsaw him. It's VERY easy. If you then run towards the shop, you'll go right past a bribe in the alley and cut down your stars if you have any. $250 payoff

 

Mall Shootout

You're asked to go meet a courier in the mall. Head up the escalator to find him. When you do, the French police show up and you have to run after the courier. He takes off - hop into the nearest fast car and run him down a few times. Soon a chip will appear on his dead body. Grab it and run it back to Cortez. Payoff: $500. Note that about this point you get your second cell phone call for work.

 

Guardian Angels

This can be VERY frustrating so be sure you're practiced on motorcycle riding before you start this one. You're supposed to pick up a rifle and then watch over a drop-off. So first go to the multistory carpark. Pick up the ruger rifle there. Lance will show up and want to come along with you. OK, you two now go and meet the guys you're protecting. Head up the stairs and get on the platform at the top with the pink circle - right at the edge. Press down on the left thumbpad to crouch, then use R1 to zoom in and be ready with the circle button to shoot. First the bad guys (NOT the traders, AFTER the traders) come in from the right. Shoot them. THen others come in from the left. Then more guys from the right, then more from the left. Do NOT shoot the flowered shirt guys in the middle, those are yours!! Now comes the part that's frustrating. The bad guys run in with motorcycles and take off with the cash. OK. Sprint down the stairs and over to the motorcycle (make sure you've practiced running a lot before this to build up your stamina). Switch to a MACHINE GUN NOT A RIFLE and grab one on the ground if you don't have one. Now hop on the motorcycle and drive NOT SUPER FAST after them, making sure to dodge the ramp along the way. If you get right behind them, blast them with your machine gun. I find once I get them to fall down once that it's MUCH MUCH easier to then switch to a fast car and run them over repeatedly until they die. It usually involves a lot of chasing. If they leave the map, the mission fails. Get the money and bring it back to Diaz. He's thrilled and you wonder where Lance went… Payoff: $1000 After this, Diaz calls you on your cell and wants you to start working with him.

 

Sir, Yes Sir!

You have get military hardware that is being taken through town. i.e. a tank that is part of a convoy. Head to there with a sturdy car. Run over all the guards first. The tank will stop. Use a sniper rifle to take out the guy on top and anyone else that's left. Now jump up onto the tank, the guy inside should have enough by now and take off.

Climb in. The tank is probably sitting facing the bridge you just came across. Take it immediately left (towards the marked spot) then right, left, and left on the STREET (not into the alley). You want to end up by the big green rectangle on the map. At that spot turn left and go into the garage. Now park the tank and walk back out! Tip from bamargera:

I find an easy way to get the tank on the 'Sir Yes Sir' mission is to get a speedy car, then zoom to the location of the Tank. DON'T give the army boys any grief, and just follow the convoy. Eventually they come to a diner, and the tank opens while a soldier goes and gets some Donuts. Now's your chance, the door is open, hop in and you can go about your business. Payoff: $2000

All Hands on Deck

Cortez is leaving with his boat. You start with a samurai sword, useless to use in the mission but a fun toy to keep. You have to shoot down guys in 3 boats that come alongside. Do with 93 body armor still. Aim for boats to blow up easy. Cut scene. Next shoot the LITTLE zoomy boats in front, until helicopters come, then shoot the helicopter. Having a rocket launcher here is a REALLY good idea. There's health in the center. and ammo. Another helicopter comes, shoot it. Now guys come up from 2 side stairways and an attack helicopter shows up. Take it out too. Cortez says, "Tomas, you must leave us. Keep my personal launch as a token. Keep an eye on Mercedes. " Payoff: $5,000 plus you get the Speeder You get a call now - Paul says someone has put price on your head. Hmmmm, maybe Lance? Tip from bamargera: "All hands on the deck" is easier if you block the open gate to platforms with a car. This way the bad guys won't get to their boats so you'll have a peaceful and relaxing boat ride up till the blockade.

 

Diaz (D)

 

The Chase

Diaz lives in a big mansion on Starfish Island. Quite nice. He has a thief in his organization. He wants you to follow the thief & see where he goes. Find out where the thief is stashing money. First, go to the pink dot. The game says to go look in the window. OK, you do and he sees you and starts shooting at you. Chase him across the roof. It's VERY hard to see where you're going but in essence it's all just running and crosing planks. Soon he shoots at you then leaps down to a car. Jump down after him. There's a moped right there that works fine, or switch to a car if you need to. Just chase him a bit. Soon he'll go into his hideout, and the mission is over. Payoff: $1000

 

Phnom Penh '86

OK, Diaz has a bit of a temper. He wants you to fly over an area with a helicopter and eradicate the enemy. "Quentin" will fly the helicopter and you'll shoot. It's your old pal, Lance. You say, "I'll handle Diaz, he's beginning to trust me." Hmm. You find out that 'Quentin Vance' is really 'Lance Vance'. He he he. Lance flies you near each area, you just shoot guys. It's really just target practice. Area 1 is on a roof. Area 2 is on two balconies. Area 3 is on a patio. Area 4 is on a parking lot. Area 5 is on another roof. On to another balcony and then the front of the house. In essence, shoot at barrels and cars to blow them up. Shoot at the guys if there's nothing around to blow them up with Finally, you get dropped off. Go by the door and snipe inside the house from outside to kill everone. Then run in and up two sets of stairs to the roof. Grab the money and the copter will come carry you off. Payoff: $2000 Note that you can now get to all of the map! The C and A missions are active again too.  

 

The Fastest Boat

Diaz is jealous. A new fast boat is being made and he wants it. Your mission is to steal the boat. Drive a sturdy car or two over to the building. You'll probably need 2 to run the people over. Drive one in and run over everyone until the car blows up. Fetch the second and keep running people over. There's a health down the stairs to the right (the stairs down to the lower dock area) if you get too hurt. Now go look in the door and snipe the 3 guys inside the boathouse. Run in and stand in the pink circle to pull the lever and drop the boat in the water. More guys come - run past them and leap into the boat. Now head straight for the dock marked on your map. Just blast past anyone you see. You just have to GET TO the pink circle (it's a straight run, no tricks) to end the mission. Payoff: $4000

 

Supply and Demand

After slaying his VCR, Diaz orders you to go grab some merchandise from a cargo supplier. You have to be the first one there in his Fast Boat. You go down and Tubbs ... I mean Lance Vance ... is there waiting for you. Have you realized yet that the guy who does the voice for Lance is the same guy that played Tubbs on Miami Vice?? Anyway, hop in. Zoom LEFT under the bridge and IGNORE THE BOATS and go straight under the next bridge too. Then turn right and you'll beat everyone there. Now for the fun part, getting it back again. First shoot the boat behind you. Then shoot the guys on the dock. Now shoot the helicopter and finally shoot the driver of the next boat. You're back and set! Payoff: $10,000!! Plus you can now wear a Track Suit. Ooooooh. You get two calls after this - one from Paul saying he wants to talk to you, and another from Lance saying "We can do this thing." Strange that Lance calls second, since what Paul wants to tell you is that Lance has been kidnapped ...  

 

Rub Out

This final "D" mission comes after you free Lance from the kidnappers. It is really meeting Lance outside the building and playing with good weapons. Your aim is to take Diaz out. See Diaz in house with his TVs. He sees you two coming in. Lance has health meter. If you need health, there's a health icon on inside lower level from the front. Go behind building, in through pool entrance to "Diaz's Mansion" Go in up the stairs and get a short video of Diaz threatening you. Then it's just a matter of shooting him down. Yes, you own the mansion now!!! HUGE Payoff: $50,000

 

Robina the Cuban (Flower Thing)

 

Stunt Boat Challenge

Head over to "Cafe Robina" for your first mission with the Cubans. You're told you're "dressed like a woman" no matter what outfit you go in with! You have to prove your stuff. Rico says to "treat her like a woman". They seem to have a thing about women. You have a boat, 3 minutes and 26 checkpoints. Back up a bit and then take a run at the first one. You get two and then a third that launches you over the golf course - you can clear it if you do it well. Take a sharp right, in and right. Under the bridge, up the ramp at about 2:08. Now another ramp. A series of bridges to go under, then you're out. Hit #15 at about 1:40. When you go under the bridget at 13, take the next three in a wide circle around smoothly. Then go to 8 under the bridge. 7 is on the ramp, about :50 left. 5 is a ramp, :30. Then follow straight for the last few. Payoff: $1000 Note after this that the Haitians, i.e. Auntie Poulet, give you a call. Interesting since the Cubans and Haitians are at war!

 

Cannon Fodder

Yikes, the Haitians are attacking! You're told you need backup. Robina says, "They mess with me, they mess with the biggest boy in town." OK, go out of the shop, go right and you'll find a Pony down on the right. You'll need the van to carry the guys. Drive it back to the spot and they'll climb in. Drive straight across and then to the indicated location. Time for a gang war. First, shoot the car that the bad guys are behind with a sniper rifle about 7 times until it explodes. That gets most of them. Pick off the remaining one or two. Now a sniper on the roof takes out some of your guys. Target him and kill him. You get more reinforcements here. OK now about 6 guys on the ground come out. Again, snipe them. Finally you get in to the van and have to return this safe and sound. Be CAREFUL with it, it explodes easily if you bash it a few times. Run over the mob of guys in here and/or shotgun them all, and then drive the van back home again. Payoff: $2000

 

Naval Engagement

Umberto Robino is upset. "You're two faced" - the Haitians are laughing at him. A load of product is coming in and he wants it. Go to the docks where Rico is waiting. "My boat, she no good full of holes, ok?" Now you see the Haitians. Use a rocket launcher to destroy both boats easily. Take time to shoot 2nd boat, then the first boat. Now go on land, stay on left wall. Snipe 2 guys along wall. Now inch out and snipe guys - 2 on right patio. One on top roof. One on far right with shotgun. Guy by middle door. Gather briefcases up. Get last one far from water because when you do, Rico and his boat get blown up. Now at 4 stars and have to race back to Ummberto. SWAT teams are out. Run to your paint & spray at the car dealership (which you should own by now) and all stars go away. Payoff: $4000

 

Trojan Voodoo

Go find a voodoo car before the mission starts - red with wings on side with white stripes. Bring it to the mission before you start. You're going with Pepe. Hop into your Voodoo car. Drive back to meet the rest of your gang, and drive in with them to the 'blip'. "I'm going to plant the bomb - cover me." Go to each pink spot - 3 spots. Have to stop and stand still in each spot for it to register (it'll show a bomb being placed). Do upstairs, then one under stairs, then one by garage door so timer starts then so you have long time to run out. When the timer starts, run. When you hit the gate at the entrance, turn right and grab the health if you need it. Then head up the stairs. When you hit the roof, the building explodes. Payoff: $10,000 Cell phone call - Umberto says hi. You proved yourself. You got big cahones.

 

Auntie Poulet (Voodoo Doll)

 

JuJu Scramble

Auntie Poulet is with the Haitians who hate the Cubans. She charms you so that every time you visit her, you have no idea who she is and are a total zombie. Fun fun fun. First, she wants you to gather up the drugs from their hiding spots. There are three total about by the time you have all 3 the cops will have you at 5 stars, so be sure you can RUN FAST AND LONG before you attempt this! Build up your stamina with lots of running around town. OK. First one is up a ramp to the right of the building. When you grab the package, the fun starts. On to #2. This one is just on the ground, easy to grab. Now to #3. This is also an easy one to grab but the cops are hot on your trail. Hi-tail it back to her house and as soon as you hit it, all your stars go away. You're safe! Payoff: $1000

 

Bombs Away

Strange, you seem to have forgotten all about Auntie. Her voodoo magic is at work. Her nephew made little flying bombs to take out Cuban boats. She has spell over you Get to the van first. It's a remote controlled plane mission, be GENTLE with the controls. These things react poorly to jerky movements. Use X to accelerate (constantly), pull back to climb, left and right to turn. O to bomb. It takes a LONG TIME to get all the boats, but just be patient. You in essence can try forever as long as you stay high and don't crash. Payoff: $2,000

 

Dirty Lickin's

"Do I know you?" he says. She says "You do this for me and you're no longer tied to my apron string." The Haitians must win this battle. If all Haitians die you lose. Kill Cubans from a distance. Head left behind the building next to their battlefield. You'll see an adrenaline in the alley. Grab it and go up the stairs. Now go to the pink spot on the roof to snipe. Be VERY careful about who you shoot! Only guys with pink triangles over their heads. There will be reinforcements from the top in a van, then more from the bottom. Shoot the lead guy and the guys behind him will mill in confusion, giving you a chance to get them. Remember that you're slowed down, so don't rush. Get a rhythm and wait for the sound of the shot. Payoff: $5,000. Now the Haitains call you and tell you not to come around any more. Is that nice??

 

Kent Paul (K)

 

Death Row

Kent Paul, the English Dude you were told about by your lawyer, wants you to talk with him at the Malibu. Turns out that he knows that your pal Lance was grabbed and you have to go rescue him. This is strange because Kent called you to say he needed to talk to you, and then AFTER that Lance called you with his cryptic "We're in this together, right?" call. Hmm. Anyway, someone has Lance. They're holding him at the Junkyard on the left island. You have to go rescue him, and you have a health bar for Lance. It starts the moment you leave Malibu so this is in essence a live timer for you to race and get him quickly. Have a fast car aimed north when you leave the club. Go straight, take your second left, and cross the bridge. Go straight towards the dot (well follow the road) and right before the 2 guys at the end of the street, take a LEFT. Go around the back until you can't drive any more, then get out and run in. Lance should still have half health left. Shoot the guys on the roof and anyone else that comes near you. There are 2-3 guys inside the hangar, take them out from afar. Once you get to Lance, the timer stops and he mumbles about not being able to mow the grass of the guy that killed his father. Now you have to get him back to a hospital. You're probably hurt now. Run straight out of the hangar and up the coal chute for a full health. Behind the hangar is a shotgun spawn. Now hop into the car at the left of the hangar and drive him to the spot. He tells you to meet him on the bridge at Starfish Island. Mission Accomplished - no cash though. You get a call around now. Cortez says the French are giving him trouble. He needs your help. He hates the French.

 

Love Juice

Your English pal calls and wants you to meet some recording artists. Note that just about right after this, your Italian pal Sonny calls and says "Don't forget about us." International Love! You've got a skull emblem to drive to. This rock band wants some "love juice" and you have to fetch it from the dealer. Drive the short way to the dealer. Press down L thumbstick to beep the horn. Dealer comes out, takes cash, and runs off on a motorcycle. Chase him down with a fast car and hit him but don't blow up the car near him, it destroys the merchandise. OK now you get a call. They want female company. You go for Mercedes. You have a timer to get her back to the band before they have to go on stage. Race to her in a fast car or motorcycle, pick her up and race back again. Payoff: $2,000 When you do this, your cell phone rings. Paul calling. He needs muscle/security for concert. He suggests a Biker gang run by Mitch Baker. Now a spade shows up on your map for the biker gang bar.

 

Psycho Killer

This is pretty easy. You drive the limo to a signing event to draw a psycho killer out. You can't pre-block the area. It's just down the street to the right. Take the limo there and then after the short video, chase the car. Just plow into it and then run him over. Payoff: $4,000

 

Publicity Tour

You can't do this one until the biker set of 3 missions are done You pick on the band for being "drunken Scottish bisexuals". And when you're in the limo, you discover it's rigged to blow if you drop your speed. I seem to recall a movie about this ... OK. This is about driving properly. Turn the limo so instead of going left (as you face out the door of the band spot) you instead go STRAIGHT then take your first right. You now have long straight road down the entire length of the island. Don't drive full speed!! Otherwise you'll run out of road. Drive just enough to balance the bomb and you'll be able to get it defused before you get to the end in the docks and have to turn. Note that when the road splits at the dock area stay LEFT for the maximum straight distance. I didn't write down all their inane conversation but here are key spots to watch for: "Somebody do something" "I play a musical instrument" "Just pass Willy a straw" "The green one" "Death's in the cards" “You're a muppit" "This One!" Shakedown

Your very own missions in the mansion!! This circle is in the center of the mansion. You're talking with Rosenberg the Lawyer, Avery the Cowboy (it's Burt Reynolds! And Lance (who is Tubbs from Miami Vice!. Avery says we need real estate. Lance wants to shake them down. Rosenberg wants to bribe them. You say you'll be back in 5 minutes. Go to North Point Mall in Vice Point. Do hit and run on shop fronts with a gun or bat. You have 5 minutes to smash them all. Note that you're smashing GLASS not the wall parts in there. So look for the glass windows marked. Make sure you keep track of which pink spots are on your floor (squares) and which are above or below you (triangles). So you should get there with 3 minutes left. Do the lower Gash windows first. Then the 2 at the coffee shop. Now across the floor to the ones at the other end of the ground floor. Run back halfway and go up the escalator to the mid-mall second floor stuff, then finally run back to Gash's upper floor and smash these. If you do these from the inside the cops actually help you Payoff: $2000 and all stars go away. Now you can buy the other buildings! Avery calls you on the cell phone to tell you to keep your eyes open for real estate to buy. Around now you get a "Vincetti Suit" from the Collars and Cuffs

 

Bar Brawl

OK, your second mission. This pink spot is on the lower level of your mansion. Note that there's a health in there. Lance says a Bar refuses to pay. You're annoyed with him for just drinking and take 2 thugs to go check it out. You go in the limo Drive to the Front Page Bar to find out who supplied the security there. Just run them over - no cops show up. Now go talk to owner. He says it was DBP security. Now drive over to DBP Security - guys are in car area. You have 5 minutes. It's pretty easy - run your limo into the cars to blow them all up. Now 2 motorcycles leave - follow them down to the lighthouse area. Run down one guy and shoot the other. Payoff: $2,000. Now Lance is embarrassed in front of the boys and wants a bigger slice. He says, "I'm not your message boy." Sounds like a breakup coming.

 

Cop Land

Let's get the cops attention - create a high wanted level so cops follow you to lock-up. Not too hard! If a cop car blocks the gate just move it and go in with Lance. Now you catch them and get into a car. You can't kill Lance! Take cop car and plant a bomb at Tarbrush in Mall. Nice fresh cop car around corner for you. Get body armor on building on right of mall with long stairs (body armor is at left end of stairs) When you plant it, you get 5 seconds of ticking. Run out quickly and it blows. Now go go down in to lower area with the car to remove a star. Protection Ring Asset Complete. Now your mansion generates revenue up to $5000 - be sure to collect regularly. Payoff: $10,000. Cop outfit to police station on Washington Beach. Dollar sign in front of estate now, it rings up cash regularly! Cell phone - Lance calls. "You don't care about me. Give me a fair slice. I gotta go."

Alloy Wheels of Steel

The Bike Leader (i.e. the Bionic Man, Lee Majors) says "Go see how this girl handles a bike". I know LOTS of girls that can handle a bike QUITE nicely, thank you. Time to take a baseball bat to his head. But back to the race! Get a freeway or angel and get to starting point. Race along the path shown. Really it's pretty easy, you don't have to go super fast. You can win with 2:15. Drive conservatively - they crash a ton and if you stay up you'll do well. Stay clear of them on the first stretch - they weave a lot to try to knock you over. Payoff: $1000

 

Messing with the Man

This is a VERY misleading mission. You have to fill the "Chaosmeter" in 2 minutes - but he makes it sound like you have to do it on the bike. In fact you're hard pressed to do this from the safety of the roof! OK you have to prepare for this one. Get the rocket launcher. Then beat up on street people until you have 3 or 4 stars BEFORE you start the mission. Now go in and talk to him to get the mission going. Run out, right, and up the stairs onto the roof where the shack is. Go past the shack and left so you're overlooking the split where the road goes from two lanes to two one way streets. Now start lobbing the cocktails! Save the rocket launcher for the helicopters that will come at you. If you throw the cocktails very steadily you'll get the full meter. Payoff: $2000. Now go into shack to save and rid the stars. Tip from bamargera: In the "Mess With The Man" mission you do for mitch baker at the greasy chopper you can simply blow up a single car and shoot the burnt out wreck to increase the chaos meter.

 

Hog Tied

OK, a local street gang stole his hog. This is your initiation. Get the bike, and you can tell Paul he has security. Take a PCJ 600. Get 3 gear changes back (listen for the engine noise changes) and launch at the stairs that point at AmmoNation. Use square-break when you land to brake on the roof. Shoot the 2 guys up there and then rest as they come up the stairs. There are LOTS of guys. Shoot them as they come up, get the health there when low on health. adrenaline to one side but shouldn't need it. Now hop on the bike. Launch up white stairs to get out and ride back. Payoff: $4000 The biker link goes away, and you get a call from Mitch saying you did good. He says to tell Kent Paul he'll get his security.

 

Kaufman Cabs (yellow K)

 

V.I.P.

You buy Kaufman Cabs for $40,000. When you do you get a cool video with the dispatcher going on about the "Things are gonna change around here crap". She's voiced by the lead singer from Blondie, who palys on WAVE radio!! OK, you have a high class fare on Starfish Island. Race out there in under a minute and aim yourself back at the airport. That's where they are going. Honk your horn. Another cab shows up and grabs the fare! BASH this other cab. You really have to hammer it in order to get the person to get out. Finally they will somewhere around the airport. They'll get in your car and you take them the rest of the way. Payoff: $1000.

 

Friendly Rivalry

The VC Cabs are evil - you must destroy 3 of them. You get yellow dots to chase. Actually this is pretty easy. They are hostile so it's easy to be near them and they often ram themselves into you! He he he. Blondie's the cab-girl so be sure to play WAVE to listen to her music. Do drive-by technique as they try to ram you. Often they'll keep circling you as you shoot them, just watch for the flames. Payoff: $2000

 

CabMageddon

You have to go pick up Mercedes. No sign of Mercedes. Instead, six rival cabs show up. You have to stay alive for a minute. In essence just drive fast around the outside to dodge them. Now (vrooom vrooom) the Evil Zebra Cab shows up. VERY cool design! Blast him and ram him until he's dead. Taxi firm asset completed. $5000 earnings - collect regularly at the dollar sign. Payoff: $5000 Plus you get a samurai sword from leader Now there's a zebra cab in your cab shop!!

Spilling the Beans

When you buy the printworks for $70,000, there are now new missions there. No video at first, but you do get the video on the mission as always. You tell the old guy there that your dad used to work at a printing shop and you worked with him. You always thought about going into it. The guy tells you to print money instead. You use a cab to ride to the Malibu Club (only $9 and fast) and ask him about the plates. He says to go down to the shipping company down at the docks. If you don't have any yet, there is body armor across street in doorway. Go up the gangplank, turn left. Go right at main ship hold, around to left and to the front of the ship. Go up the stairs and around. You want to go up 3 levels - not all the way to the top. Go to pink spot and talk to him. Now the tough part. You have to get back down all the stairs. Blast and shoot your way down. There's health under the gangway when you get there. $2000 when you get back to the printing shop.

 

Hit the Courier

Lance is there. Hmmmmm. I thought he was plotting to kill you. Ah well ... a courier is arriving at the docks in a helicopter. Note you can't get there *before* the helicopter or it'll run off. It's a female criminal ring! You do have to go to the docks just after the helicopter gets there, go in and kill off everyone there so they aren't chasing you later on. If you manage to block the chase cars so it's you and the courier only that helps a lot. Now chase the yellow dot to run her down. When you kill the courier, she drops the plates. Now you must grab them. Payoff: $5,000. Print works asset completed. generates $8000 A call comes in. "Tommy." "Sonny." "Where's my cut of your new action?? You're making an idiot out of me." Hmmmm, the Italians seem displeased with you ...  

 

Malibu Club (palm tree)

 

No Escape?

You're putting together a team. First, a safecracker. You have to break Cam Jones out of police custody. Note there's a smoke canister up behind police station. Go into the police building. VCPD HQ. There's an uzi in the locker room. Go to the pink spot to change into a uniform before going into the restricted area. Now the game says a key card is upstairs. Now, in uniform, head into the restricted area and upstairs. You see the keycard in far end to right, plus a hidden package in back of same room. There's a heart in another room to side. OK, you're set. Head back down the stairs and then go down into the cells. Another pink spot awaits. Let the guy out. It's Cam Jones. Now you have 4 stars. You have to get back out with everyone shooting you. Race through and get into a car. Get to a paint & spray to get rid of the stars. Now his house is right nearby. Tip from bamargera: instead of using a car. plant a helicopter outside the police station. once youve broken cam jones out, run to the helicopter. fly to your car showroom and you have a car/spray n pay waiting for you. It takes a while for the cops to follow you such a distance over the ocean so when you get there youll have *AT MOST* 2 cops with pistols. no fbi or swat. Payoff: $1000

 

The Shootist

OK, now to find a gunman. You're told that Phil Cassidy is the best shooter. He'll be at shooting range. Note he is voiced by Gary Busey! Go to AmmoNation in the north end of the left island. Now head into the Rifle Range. Note that there are three stages and if you run out of time OR AMMO that it ends. So aim carefully! Round 1. The closest - 1 pt, middle - 2 pts, far - 3 pts. Really, you just want to shoot the far away targets and clear them out. You're aiming for between 30 and 40 points in this round. Now out to Round 2. Hit as many targets as you can, 1 point each, for a minute. You should get around 10-20 points in this one. Third round. Again, a point per target, for one minute. The back targets that go smoothly up then down are great to get. You should tag between 10-20 of these. Phil will fail you if you get 60 or less, but above that, he's impressed and joins up with you. Payoff: $2000  

 

The Driver

OK, now you're after a driver. Funny how every one of them has a condition to join you? For the driver, you have to beat him in a race. Meet him at Vice Point. He's a little strange. You're in a Sentinel. Note that this MAY seem unfair at the start, because his car has a quicker acceleration than yours does. But actually your car is FASTER once you get up to speed. Just after you start there's an "Illegal street race" alert. The cops come now - 2 stars. Long twisty racetrack. The trick here is to tag him in the butt end when you're on the first stretch and catch up to him. He'll spin out and then be behind you the entire rest of the race. Go easy around turns - don't brake - just ease off on the acceleration as you make turns and go smoothly around cars. If you've been doing all the other side races, you should be in good practice to win this one. Payoff: $3,000

 

The Job

You're holding up a bank. Everyone gets into the taxi waiting there. Drive to the pink dot. You're driving. They're fighitng like kids, VERY funny. Pull into spot. He is going to drive around the block. Go over to pink spot. "Nice and easy just as we planned." Hockey masks?? "This is a raid!" You and Cam go in hole to right to go up stairs. Go in and up to top level. Shoot guards there. Now go into pink spot to elevator. Come out - another guard. Pink spot near safe. "It's a Flange 9000". He wants the manager and stays there. Now you go back into elevator and down. New pink spot. Down into office. Follow dot. Body armor in there. Security cameras in there. Health in another office room with the manager. He runs after you. Run back up to the elevator. He goes in with you. You both go to the safe. You leave manager there and go back to Phil. "I told you not to touch that alarm" The SWAT team is coming. Run down to his level to help out. Back to pink spot. "You are completely surrounded" The vault is open. Now the SWAT storms in. Kill them then run to the pink spot to leave. Run to taxi and get it to the paint and spray right down the street to the left. Make sure stars go fully away before you drive back to pink spot. Go into pink garage when door opens. Mercedes is waiting for you. Payoff: $50,000 Malibu now generates $10,000 per day. Bank Heist Asset Completed. Bank Job Outfit now at malibu club. Phil calls quite happy and says for you to call him if you need him. Now you have Phil missions.

 

Film Studio (film clapper)

 

Recruitment Drive

Note there's a secret hidden package in north building. There's a M4 in building to north. And the film set is the one used to fake the moon landing! OK, on to the mission. You have to go find Candy Suxxx downtown. She's at the far north end of the left island. Candy shows up in a limo. Take out Candy's pimp and then return for Candy. Pimp drops off some goons and then takes off. Kill the goons and take off after the pimp. It might be a long chase unless you nail him quickly. When you get him, head back for Candy. "Come on, let's go" - now meet up with Mercedes. She's at the Pizza Place. Go inside. Now they both follow you into a car. Drive them all back to D stage. Payoff: $1000

 

Dildo Dodo

Head back to D stage. You need some publicity. There's a seaplane in back of the studios, from an old "indie film". Does he mean Indiana Jones? Use it to distribute fliers. There are six checkpoints. For each one, fly from start to end of that checkpoint set. Seaplane is not easy to drive so take your time and practice with it to get used to its movements. You can easily end up stuck somewhere that you can't get airborne again if you're not careful. Be careful about bumping into things, the airplane catches aflame. Pretty much every time you hit a red one, the next blue one is nearby. So the course isn't too trickey if you go slowly. Payoff: $2000

 

Martha's Mug Shot

Alex Shrub is after you. Candy is 'in the act' during the video. Interesting. Press and hold R1 to target with the camera. Square to zoom in, X to zoom out. O to take a picture. Hop into the Sparrow around back - a really thin helicopter. Follow her along (you have to follow her, you can't just zoom to the target) and you'll get a cut scene of her walking in to Shrub in the pool "Could you call me Martha?" The WK Chariot Hotel across from balcony. Park the helicopter about 10' from the entrance - if you're too close it'll vanish when you come back out. Go in the side door. Go up several floors until pink triangle turns into a square. Take 3 photos and they go inside. Now you have 5 stars and the cops want the camera. Run all the way downstairs. You'll meet a few guys coming down but you have to get in that helicopter quickly!! Fly back to the film studio. Do NOT fly right to the pink dot - you'll be shot at if you do. Land at the end of the studio and you'll be able to run without being shot at to the pink dot. Payoff: $4000

 

G-spotlight

Go downtown and adjust the spotlight. Security guard drives a PCJ to work. Go to pink spot, drive around to lower office. Drive around to pink spot inside. Elevator opens for you. Go up in elevator with 2 people. Now ride to pink spot. Smash through window - have timer going . Unique bonus Prize. Now follow pink spots. Jump from ledge to ledge. You have until 7am to finish. Health about 4 buildings in. At health spot go aroud to side to get to jump. Now ride upstairs. Over jump. Keep following pink dots until the end. Payoff: $8000 film studio now generates $7000 for you Hint from bamargera: well ya see, in the last mission for the film studio "G-Spotlight" Why would you want to do all the work with the PCJ 600 when u have a police helicopter beside the office !!!!! Do the first jump and then just go down , get into the helicopter and take your time ... all the checkpoints have easy access to the helicopter....doesn't get much easier......

 

Phil's Trailer (P)

 

Gun Runner

You get this at Phil's trailer. There's a detonator grenade spot there. Get into Patriot and go after 3 yellow dots. Crash into one, get his merchandise. After 2 they call for backup, and you get a $100 bonus for each motorcycle guy you run over. The cars drag you until dead so avoid being run over. In each case, once you knock the box off they circle you to get you, so use side strafe to blow them up. Payoff: $2,000

 

Boomshine Saigon

Phil calls - he has moonshine that strips paint Unfortunately he blows himself up by accident. You have to get him to the hospital while still high on moonshine fumes. It's a very wavy screen when driving. Very dizzying!! Drive to hospital - he says it's not safe. Now he has you driving to a friend that will help. Drive to spot and he waddles in there without an arm. Phils place asset completed. new weapons available there. Payoff: $4000 Call - Phil says he's OK. says thanks.

Boatyard (B)

 

Checkpoint Charlie

This boatyard mission can be done with the motorboat or speedboat. You have to hit as many packages as you can in the 2:30 they give you. At 3 in - do map change. go slowly at first, missing is a ROYAL pain. 8-9-10 are jumps in a row. If you practice this you can get them all at speed. 11-18 is just a long path with lots of space in between. Take this at pretty much top speed, steering carefully. Really, it's just practice that gets you through this. Once you finish, your boathouse becomes an asset and starts generating $2000 for you. Payoff: $5,000

 

Ending Missions (V)

 

Cap the Collector

Note that the last 2 missions only come when you've done enough of the game that you are a 'power in Vice City'. Otherwise the mob doesn't bother to come down and harass you. For me, I hit this mission after doing all other missions and all the 'gather the car' stuff too. You get a call - problem at the print works. You go and the poor old guy was beat up by the Italians. You get pretty annoyed. Apparently the Mob, i.e. Sonny Forelli, has come to get their piece of the action. You have a pink spot. The Mafia is heading towards the car showroom. Ken calls again and warns about impending death. Oh, helpful. Go to the car showroom and shoot the guys there. Now just sit there, they'll send a few waves at you. Really it's pretty easy, just kill each wave as they come. When you kill the last set, you're done. Payoff: $30,000

 

Keep your Friends Close ...

I got this one when I was 58% done, had all other missions complete and the car gathering complete. Lance calls and says there's a "problem". You see a video where you try to pay off Sonny with fake cash, and Lance betrays you. You knew he was no good!! Now go back into your room and defend the safe. Use the colt python - one hit, one kill. Just stand near door way and shoot each one that comes in. Lance says, "No one to cover your ass now, Tommy." You're told "Go kill Lance" - go out to the hallway. You call out "Backstabbing prick". Now stand on balcony pressing R1 to target and shooting. They'll come in from front door, lower right, upper right. He ran to the roof and stays there. You can go to the basement and get health / body armor before you head up. Go up on roof and waste him. An easy way to kill Lance is to run past him and drop Napalm on his head. Note that when you come back in you can go down in the basement for more body armor. Now go back to the room with the safe. Another video. 'You took 15 years from me, Sonny." "I own you, Tommy. Those 15 years were mine to spend." Nice attitude! Kill Sonny and finish this. Ken is still there and happy! Payoff: $30,000 After the ending of GTA3, I was worried about what would happen next. In GTA3 I was really disappointed that you end up killing everyone you knew, even the poor woman who was just flaky and not harmful. Instead, they did a GREAT job with this ending. You get a call from "Paulo". He met Mercedes. Very happy. Then another phone call - Cortez. Asks about Mercedes. Going to be a lawyer?? Happy that she isn't. Yet another phone call. Paul calls. He's drunk and rambles on. You tell him to get some sleep. Earnest Kelly calls now. He'll need a stick to walk. Heard about Lance. Little prick. But he's happy too. Yet another phone call. Steve. He's rewriting the record books. It's H.O.T. Best damn skin flick director. This game definitely ends in a way that makes you feel like it was really worth playing! The city is YOURS now, and you have a whole team to back you up.
