Puddles are too robust

Noticed this on PS4 and PC playthrough.

 

The puddles look nice. But they're too robust.

 

In my opinion driving through a puddle should affect it more. It feels too static, more like an animated ground texture, they don't splash enough IMO, they should be more dynamic. The water behavior of the puddle should also depend on the vehicle that drives through it.

 

Also, when you drive through puddles in the countryside in the sand, dirt, on soft ground etc. it should affect the ground more, maybe your car should sink a bit.

 

Driving through a puddle feels like driving on the street. They look great, but should be more dynamic.

My opinion.. we'll get what you want in 5 years, that kind of graphics and world interactivity is not something to be expected on this generation of consoles, apart from a few linear games where they can focus on such details and make them work.

It IS an animated ground texture.

My console suffers enough when it rains in the city, so God knows how it would cope with 'dynamic' puddles. You want ripples and more splashing? Go drive a car in the rain IRL. Idea rated 5/5 Franklings.

I agree, when I drive through a puddle i would like to feel a sense of danger..y'know what I mean dumayay? I want to feel like my car is going to sink into an abyss on some bioshock sh*t. It may be different games but it can happen. Me , you and Yogdouche should all go out and get a drink one day. It'll be on me and we can further discuss ideas so we can create our own game? My Xbox One already has framerate issues sometimes, especially at rain.

Adding dynamic puddles that are not only textures but real bodies of water would be an overkill for current gen consoles.

 

And by the way: Who the actual f*ck cares about this? Puddles look great and they already react when you're driving/walking over them.

Yeah, but maybe PC could make this happen. On X1 they could leave it as textures but add splashes.

Puddles also don't last long enough when the rain is over.

 

As I said: they should be more dynamic imo. They look good, but they're just textures. ;)

If it's about realism then don't forget going to Vespucci beach then spending half an hour getting the sand out your clothes and shoes. Walking through the woods and getting your shoe stuck in wet mud, pulling and it comes off so you have to walk home muddy footed, missing one shoe. Salty water and heavy cows are just the beginning.

I'm logging a complaint with Rockstar because the ground isn't groundy enough, the sky isn't high enough up in the air and the sea doesn't feel wet when I'm swimming in it. Also the DS4 doesn't feel like a steering wheel when I'm driving.

Am i the only one who feels like V lacks air. Rockstar advertised it as a living, breathing world but where is all the oxygen ??? Smh cockstar should focused more on singleplayers than boring online !!!
