Tenacious_Dude Posted January 16, 2003 Share Posted January 16, 2003 the military base is in ur map. but that dun really help tho so heres what u do: Go to the car showroom, then go to the hooker inn (with the rocket launcher in the pool) and turn left. keep going on the same road without turning until u see a sign with some guy surfing. go past it and then go past the airport terminal, the keep on the same road without turning until u see two towers. smash into the red and white thing so it explodes and ur in. u need the cop uniform or u'll get shot at Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Digital Murders Posted January 17, 2003 Share Posted January 17, 2003 You don't really need the cop uniform, what I do is crash through the gates, (with a car of course) and right away take a left, and there are a set of stairs, just climb up to the building, and walk across it till you come to another set of stairs, go down those, take a left into the obstacle course, and go through the gap in the fence to the left, you should get away without getting shot, just remember to keep running, it always works for me. max_damage78 Posted January 26, 2003 Share Posted January 26, 2003 The base is north west of the airport. Ok, so you've found the Hooker Inn. Good. The road that the HoIn is on heads in a westerly direction. Looking west down the road, you should see a sign above it with 4 markers (1 red, 3 Green) follow this road, do NOT take the fork that goes to the left. The road will turn to the right so that you'll be heading north with a chain link fence on both sides of you (the airport on your left, a parking lot on your right). The road will then turn left heading west again with another red/green sign above you. You will find the main terminal to the airport is just ahead of you on your left, keep gong so that you pass the terminal. The road will eventually go down underground for a short time. While underground you will be forced to make another right turn heading north (a side note, box vans and cargo trucks LOVE to spawn in this area). The road will comeback above ground in a few seconds and just ahead of you the road again turns to the right so that your heading east. TA-DA!! You are now in front of the Army base (it's on your left and sort of resembles a prison with it's guard towers and high barb-wire fencing). Try not to stay still for too long, as the soldiers will shoot you on sight, weather or not you have a wanted level. There is nothing of interest in the base until you start to finding the hidden packages. At 90 the Tank will become available just inside the main gate, and at 100 the Hunter is at the back of the base. You have about a 10% chance of surviving the soldiers and successfully getting away with the hunter if you try to gain access from the main entrance. But your chances jump to about 80% if you get another helicopter and approach from the North. Just set down beside the hunter and jump on board. max_damage78 Posted January 26, 2003 Share Posted January 26, 2003 Have you found all 100 hidden packages? The Hunter is unlocked when you find all 100 hidden packages. Once you do that the Hunter will spawn in two places. 1)At the Army Base. Parked by the north wall (not on the Helli pad near the entrance as I once thought). To get to it and survive you should be wearing the COP uniform found in the West Beach Police Station after the COP LAND mission. You'll need to enter from the MAIN entrance found at the south end of the base (it has the red/white barrier). Once inside the base, turn left so that your facing WEST. The guard tower should be to your left, and a set of fire stairs (you can see through them) should be in front of you. Climb the stairs and weave your way around the sandbag bunkers to the tall building at the north end of the base. There is a walkway heading east along the side of the building to a set of stairs going down. You should now be in the middle of the base with the last guard tower. Look north, if you've found all 100 packages, you should see the hunter on the other side of a fence. There is no way to jump the fences, so you have to run around them. There is a gate through the first fence just to the left of the guard tower. Run through the obstacle course and once you get to the east wall turn left and face north. There is another gate through this fence. You are now in the paddock with the Hunter. To reach it without the cop uniform and survive, you'll need to get another helicopter (the Hymen apt, and VCN building are too places to look). Head out over the west ocean about half way up the map south of the Hymen stadium. Head south toward the army base keeping low as you approach. DO NOT GO TO FAR INTO THE BASE. If you do, soldier WILL spawn and SHOOT YOUR ASS! Set down in the empty space between the tent and the Hunter. Exit your chopper, and jump into the Hunter. You should be able to take off without the troops spotting you if you back up and head north out of the base. 2) A Hunter will also spawn at the abandoned house on the south end of the first island (it has the Helli pad) just to the east of the marina where Cortez parked his yacht.
