Connecting analog external speakers to LG Smart TV

Since this TV has a single Digital Audio Output, I'm guessing I need a digital audio cable along with a digital to analog converter. However, I'm not sure about the specifics. Would be great if someone can help me out with the finer details.

I use headphones to watch TV late at night and when i'm gaming and i just used the simple Red/White audio cables from my TV into the back of my headphone reciever and the sound comes out fine.

But i'm not an expert on speakers but from what i've seen they basically work the same way.

What are you connecting your TV to exactly? Could use a 3.5mm to RCA cable and then plug that into your TV's headphone out, but knowing what the speaker setup is would be great :)

I have a set of Bose speakers with RCA male pins. Just the two speakers, that's it. If I buy a 3.5mm male to 2RCA female cable, will that work?
