XCalinX
Hey guys, I'm running the Windows 10 Beta and I recently upgraded to a 980 Ti, however there are no drivers for it on Win 10 so I had to mod an older one but it's very buggy and I want to switch back to Windows 7, however I'm afraid that I will lose my story mode progress because when I installed it for the first time (GTA 5) it started crashing after the first 2-3 missions so I had to reinstall the game and I lost my progress. I'm afraid that if I reinstall the OS then install the game on it, I would lose my 93% story mode progress. Is there any way to prevent it? Thank you. Craigsters
Put a copy of your saved games on a external drive, burnable cd disc or thumb drive, I have all my important saved games backed up on to a thumb drive in case I need to fall back on one of those saved games!.. Bad idea to install a beta operating system on a production/daily used computer. Install on a virtual machine in the future if you're just looking to test it out. Anyhow, you will lose your progress if you don't back it up. Copy or archive the Rockstar Games directory located typically at "C:\Users\%USERNAME%\Documents" to another source like a thumb drive or external harddrive, and after you've reinstalled Windows and GTA V, drop the backed up directory or extracted archive back into the same location. Then you'll be all set.

PCMasterRace46
Good choice in a card but the full version of Windows 10 comes in a month so just install that and save your game files to a usb drive.
southparkmayor
Yes, its called backing it up to an external drive or uploading it to the cloud. How did you even manage to install an OS without knowing how to back up game saves?
