I was informed by a member of their support staff: We apologize for the inconvenience caused. We would like to inform you that this is an in game design. So we won't be able to provide you any resolution for the issue. My response: Just to make this clear, I have now been unable to sell any vehicle that I have picked up from the street at Los Santos Customs for 8 days. Every single time that I attempt to sell these vehicles (in the case of one I tested this morning, a Gallivanter Baller) I continue to get the message that I have reached the daily limit for selling vehicles. For 8 24-hour days this has continued, and I have so far been told that this is an in-game design by support. I could understand that explanation if it worked as it was designed to work, but in the case of my GTAO character it very clearly is not. My feeling at this point is that this is a known issue and it will be addressed at some point, but R* support cannot acknowledge that it is a bug. In the meantime, I'll keep testing it, updating my ticket, and I will resolve it only when it is actually resolved. I am not selling any vehicles to work around this, as I put up with enough crashes, timeouts, and unexplained failures from this game as it is. In a previous glitch I kept on loosing my personal plates. It took two updates to fix it. Meanwhile, I reverted to my second character. I can sell cars with that one. It's kind of a good thing since I didn't make that much money from it compared to heists and missions anyway and it was a hassle sometimes. Now I don't have to bother driving around waiting for gang cars to spawn and surviving bounties I get from stealing cars everyday. If this support ticket doesn't start to sound better I'll start my own too. I don't need rp on my second character, whom has no assets. I'm not going to spend money emptying my garage so that I can sell street cars amongst my time actually playing the game. Why would they want us to make money. Think I'm going to cut back on my gta time until this gets fixed. I have tonz of games I haven't played. I guess R* would approve at this point. During those 3 days I sent out a ticket to Rockstar about this problem. I asked to be reimbursed for the time I couldn't sell cars and I was gifted 500,000 GTA$. Tails Prower Posted June 24, 2015 Share Posted June 24, 2015 I have not had a problem with this since my last posts and have sold many many cars since Sunday. I have no solution to the problem but it seemed that after I switched to my 2nd character on Sunday and sold a car or two and then switched back to the main one, 24 hours after I was able to sell again on both characters and have been able to do so every day since. If this is a another 'trick' for you dupers (DoD) I'm going to laugh, and say that you really don't deserve to sell cars legitimately for quite awhile. Imo, it would be permanently. LBC Hey look, it's our resident hypocrite R* apologist. It's a bug, and it's one that actually affects gameplay for those who experiences it. It has to be fixed, and should have priority over harmless things like paint glitches, gate launcher glitches or the Mission Row PD's backdoor being unlocked, some or all of which you seem to keep defending R*'s anti-fun decision to "fix" despite their earlier claims to leave harmless glitches alone. That's not the character I want to play. It's not worth dealing with three more loading screens just to sell a ten thousand dollar car. It is worth it when I'm playing normally. Anyone playing gta as long as I have could be considered illegitimate. I was gifted money on the 360 during the buy all the things marathon. That doesn't diminish the problem this is, Or the right I have to complaign about it. Need I post a video of me hitting the limit? I doubt you would believe that. Everyone else can sell cars and I can't. I know a few people that have sold twice my total amount worth of cars, not getting the bug. Maybe some how I can move the daily limit bug to that character so I can play my main normally again. Not really wanting to try though. need money to buy more things. We are very sorry to hear that you are experiencing issues with your game. In an attempt to resolve these issues, we would like to try resetting the local user profile settings for the game. You do not have to worry about losing any progress, as this simply clears some temporary files associated with the game. Please perform the following troubleshooting steps: 1) Fully shut down your console. 2) After 30 seconds of the console being shut down, restart the console. 3) Launch GTAV. 4) When launching GTAV, wait until a black screen appears after the initial splash art has disappeared, and hold down L1+R1 throughout the opening scenes. 5) If successful, you will be prompted to re-calibrate your language and brightness options. LBC I don't glitch at all and don't own any duped cars. I sell street cars periodically, whenever I get the urge (at most a few times a day). This is definitely a bug - I haven't been able to sell a car off the street since Sunday. I am glad they have this rule, it stops people from using car selling glitches. You're not paying attention to the thread. It's not the rule that is at issue, it's the fact that the logic doesn't even work. There's some kind of glitch where the counter doesn't reset. I swear I've seen it recently. I tried to move the bug to second character once by selling street cars but I couldn't hit the limit during my session. I can still sell my personal cars if I wanted. but that loses me money, since I want all my personal cars. I'm not sure how having a daily limit on selling street cars prevents dupe glitching. Must have hit the wrong buttons (on xbone) didn't prompt the language select. i did however sell a street vehicle and then get the good ole "we don't need any vehicles right now" error. Worst week of gta online for me, worse than the first god mode, all the things. Now if I could just get my license plates to stay in my plate menu for more than one session. You can't have the plates stay for more than one session full stop until R* decide to allow it. Still no issues selling cars for me so not sure what is the trigger, as I said before the only difference in the one day I was not able to sell was playing through quite a lot of heist setup/finales. R* sent a reply asking me to clear the game cache and potentially re-install the game, but it appears to have already corrected itself. It appears that this has been patched because others are seeing their issues with this resolving as well, and if everything works the way it should for the next few days I will resolve my ticket. We'll see. In the meanwhile I've had a ticket open with Rockstar and gotten three stupid responses from three different support drones who are completely unable to read, apparently. So annoying.
