Black screen upon starting Amphibious Assault [PC 8.1]

Name says it pretty well. whenever I try to start Amphibious Assault, I play the cut scene just fine, but then when it's over, it's just a black screen. I can hear CJ talking now and then, traffic, horns, people, and the chainsaw when I press Q or E enough to pull it out. I can't see anything, though.

Running Windos 8.1 with an AMD rig.

If the problem is mods or cheats...

Not so many cheats, but gtaall.com has been pretty common in my browser history... tons of mods installed. They never gave me trouble before, though.

Any help is appreciated.

Is Carl very Fat?

How much is Carl's Lung Capacity?

Remove the Mods. Does the game play?

DVD game... which version 1.0 or 2.0, Playing with the DVD in the Drive?

Or STEAM registered Down Load v3?

 

For modded game problems you should be Asking in the MODDING FORUMS, as there are many problems caused by mods, and this is the Vanilla game Forum.

 

Are you playing the game in a *compatibility Mode* XP, Vista, Windows 7, or if you have had mouse problems Win98?

Are you running the game with Administrative Privileges?

Have you tried deleting the gta_sa.set file?

Did your machine upgrade any Video Drivers just before the problem?

I posted here because literally every single other mission has worked with the mods I have.

I thought that would be an issue with the mission, not the mods.

It's likely an issue with mods, I've had the same problem, I removed the mods, deleted the gta_sa.set file and it fixed the problem. Also, don't use cheats during the session your playing the mission, it could cause problems as well.
