I assume we can resume to posting videos now, so here's our latest Humane Labs run. Barely 1 sec better than our previous one but still improvement.

Excellent runs guys. A new PC and PS4 record.

 

I have also now updated OP so leaderboards are live again and current. Will do some further work on layout, but all times should be now up-to-date.

 

I removed the following runs due to Scarf Trick:

 

dan's pac 8:17

dan's humane 9:26

sly's humane 9:29.

I have also updated the Rules based on the vote.

Do correct me if I have missed anything or anyone. I hope you can appreciate it took me a while! so there may be mistakes. Please don't take it personally - just let me know if you are not there and I can check it out.

Regarding teams with 1 player change, as this was not voted on originally they are not currently included on the boards. This is subject to change, I just cannot remember where/when/if this was agreed on.

Regarding format, feedback is appreciated. I will mess around with code and stuff at some point, Red said he would help me out with that, but first and foremost I was keen to get the leaderboards live and current.

Top 5 fine for Grand sure, unnecessary for separate leader boards though surely? Seeing runs that are minutes off the top time.

 

At Stangs request, I reverted back to old layout as much as possible. No need for a poll, it's easy to amend if people want it back to 5.

5 positions on the leaderboard would be great. I would even support more to hopefully attract more new players to get on it.

 

@Humorless Heister: The scarf trick is a pretty nOOb move for a group that is supposed to be the elite of the elite. I voted to have it allowed only because it opens the door for which glitches/exploits should be allowed disallowed (i.e. Changing camera view to run faster on stairs etc). Even though I lost that item on my vote list, I will not lose any sleep over it as it is soooooo lame.

I'm not quite sure who or what exactly you are annoyed at here. People have sent tickets about glitches and exploits in the past.

 

Rules clarifying what is and is not allowed were required as some crews were unsure what was and wasn't allowed for their submissions a few pages back.

I'm sorry, I understand, but it's not that. (Sorry to sound like a b*tch) I'm fine with the rules but I think it's crazy or stupid just to allow submissions with the given rules and criteria. I shouldn't be saying this lol, since I don't even bother with submitting my runs I had in the past. Just my opinion.

 

Edit: Like someone said above, this board is for the elitists or something like that. Proves me that I made a biggie over nothing. XD

I pretty much agree with you. Always a grey area with speedruns and with our rules being a bit flexible in parts we had to clear up at least two of the hot topics dividing the community

It does. And I am against the use of it in Humane where it gives you an obvious advantage.

If the rule was in effect before he did the run they may have just restarted it once he realized he had the wrong outfit on.

The vote was not very specific but I assumed it was mostly in regards to Humane.

Are there any other points in heists where this glitch can be used as an advantage? Cant think of any atm.

I know my opinion dont seem to hold much weight around here but if it were me I would allow it.

So the scarf method is a glitch/exploit in HLR but not in PS where you have to run more than 3 blocks while being shot at? Man, that makes no sense at all. If the scarf rule is out, it needs to be out for all leaderboard heists.

He didnt use it for that part. He removed it before he even got into the bank. Besides why would any one use the vest when you can just run fast and spam snacks. Its clear he was not trying to use it as an exploit.

If he had used it for the run then removed it then that would be different I think but that wouldnt make much sense either. At that point you might as well keep it on for the bike ride as well.

You still have the protection and now have speed as well. Before the bank is just as bad.

Sorry Dan, but after watching through the video again it is clear use of the scarf method. Accident or not, advantages or not, rules are rules. I have sent you a more detailed pm explaining matters.

 

If we had voted against Kuruma tele, the same would be applied to many of the Fleeca runs and they would all have to go right? Do we then start a debate about using it with bikes at the start not being allowed, but allowing it at the bank? No, it's either we allow it or not at all.

 

I of course understand and appreciate the time and effort it takes for your runs and don't doubt that one bit and understand your obvious frustration on the matter, but I can't just allow it because it was not deliberate (and I even believe you on that). You still reap the benefits, regardless for a method that is now against the rules. Sorry buddy.

 

I have full belief that you and your team are more than capable of producing a run without the method. I hope you can understand that this is not easy for me either. I now need to go through further Pac runs just to make sure there are not others too - harder to spot than on Humane!

Alright, so Fleeca and Pac tied times now corrected, requested non capped names changed, spelling of Jack and Agent's names corrected, Darth's name removed from HoF as requested, Sly's run restored to Humane PS4 leaderboard.

 

Let me know if there's anything else ( besides top5 for GL that will take a bit more time)
