It's likely that Lucid is working on VCS on mobile since War Drum did Bully (which is great for modders)

 

Though I'm not sure if they are going to release another mobile port so soon after each other. Maybe VCS isn't going to have a port at all, like Max Payne 2.

I feel it's for sure gonna happen. It's just when is the question. Afterall, 4 of 5 3D Era GTA's have been ported to Mobile + CW. So it doesn't make sense to stop when there is only one left, lol...

If Bully got chosen over VCS to get a mobile port for it's 10 year anniversary, that's fine by me. As alright as VCS was, it seems like Bully deserves it more, given how much more work was put into it compared to VCS and how swept under the rug it was. Plus, it might get a few new folks hooked on Bully.

 

I think they're working it that way at least. GTA 3 and Smuggler's Run 2 both came out in 2001. GTA 3 was better received, so it got a mobile port. Same with The Warriors and LCS, both came out in 2005 and LCS got the mobile port for it's 10 year anniversary. So evidently Bully is more popular than VCS to warrant a port.

Well, I'm sure whoever's working on the mobile port is gonna bring the game very, very soon, probably near the end of the year, and if not, probably early-to-mid January. If it's Lucid Games, then I'm sure they'll probably make the port much better than LCS and fix that darn "crash to the Android desktop when starting a new game" bug or the "unknown error" bug.

Surprising release but again, they had released Max Payne too. I wouldn't go the VCS release conclusion so early. We could wait till January and see if VCS is announced for iOS atleast.

LCS sold abysmally compared to other gta games on mobile platforms, why would Rockstar even bother with VCS when licence costs alone for the music are like 10x that of LCS.

You can emulate VCS on your PC with PCSX2, put the render resolution up to 4k and you will still have "nice warm colours"

As much as I love Bully as hard I belive that vice city stories need proper mobile port. Back to vc in this game was more fun and entertaiment than gritty liberty city. The plot, submissions and game mechanics were far better than in previous one. It is sad that this great game will be forgotten.

F*cking hell, you serious? :wtf: I didn't want Lucid games to work on VCS either way. Their cheap compared to WarDrum studios that worked perfectly on III,VC and SA. Oh well i guess :/ Let's see where this goes...

VCS won't come this year for sure.

 

That's fine. I got patience. I can wait. It's not like I am missing anything, anyways. I've owned VCS, like LCS, for quite some time on PS2 and can play them any time I want. Mobile is just a secondary Platform for me, to give me an extra challenge due to sh*t Controls compared to my responsive Playstation Controller and also with a whole new perspective since it's on Mobile and NOT my big TV with a Controller...

 

I like switching up Platforms and I like switching up Games. Keeps the skills in check and always sharp.

 

I never played Bully so I can't tell.

 

Same. I could careless about that. Besides, the Topic is about VCS Mobile and all of a sudden, now it's about Bully. ...That Report Button...

What's with all the talk of it being canceled? Bully came out in the same year so it's entirely possible to see both ports happening not far from each other. Max Payne and GTA III were also both released in 2001 and both got the port. It's entirely possible for more than one game to have that from the same year. Lack of patience and knee jerk reactions is all this seems. VCS is the only III-era game left (Advance aside) so it makes no sense to move on with only that one left.
